LOVE this place. One of the best restaurants in Rome, I believe. On our holidays we went there three times already and going there tomorrow again. Mozzarella is a must try! Delicious. I and my friend, we took mozzarella degustation of Paestum, Volturno and Affumicata. Only the last one wasn't really good because it is smoked and has a fishy scent. But overall, mozzarella is really good. I also have tried Lasagnetta, Ravioli Artigianali and Mezzi Paccheri di Gragnano, all of them really tasty. Service is good and prices are reasonable. Chill vibes, pleasant staff, and excellent food. The cheese sampler was delicious while I also had the lasagna, which was the best I have ever experienced. You cannot go wrong with any of the dishes that have mozzarella on them. I had the chicken with yogurt sauce and potatoes as well, it was good but not anything to rave about. This place was great, at the beginning I thought it was going to be a fancy expensive typical roman restaurant, but it was really great, good price for good food, food was a little small, especially drinks, but nothing to regret. We are here two nights ago - the outdoor setting was nice (albeit a wee bit smoky) and the food was nice (I only had red wine and a buffalo mozzarella pizza, but others around me had other things and all seemed happy). Very nice restaurant which is famous from mozzarella serve in any form. You can have fresh with the basil and tomato, pizza with mozzarella, soup with mozzarella, pasta and so on, if you're fan of this white soft cheese that is place to go if you're visiting the city. 5stars all the way as I really like mozzarella :-) read more

This restaurant is outstanding! Have eaten here on three occasions over the years while on business in Rome. Service is great and the food is delicious. Order anything, but make sure to start with the mozzarella sampler which comes with five varieties. This place offered a great introduction to Rome by serving up a range of buffalo milk mozzarella cheeses. I wasn't a big fan of the smokey cheese, but the liquidy cheese served in the bowl was really good. (I don't remember the exact name of that style.) The staff was also very friendly. After a long day of sightseeing, but still a couple of hours until our dinner reservation, we decided to stop by for a drink and quick snack. I had a glass of white and the BF has two glasses of red, and we ordered the burrata with some prosciutto. They have an extensive mozzarella menu (duh...) and we had to control ourselves and only order once since we still had dinner later in the evening. The burrata came in a dish and did not have a mozzarella shell, which the BF has never seen before, so he was a bit confused. But it tasted amazing! Though Obika's become quite the little chain now, they source great fresh cheeses from the south of Italy and know what they're doing with them. Portions are huge, so be ready to do some complex sharings. Large selection of entree salads, which can be a hard thing to find in Italy. They also have a good wine and cocktail list. read more

The food is good here! The mozzarella is expensive here (6€ for one ball) but we were prepared for that. We had one mozzarella, an artichoke pairing, a pizza, a glass of wine and water and the tab came to 31€. I would definitely recommend this place but be prepared to spend more than average. read more

Clean, modern and reasonably priced restaurant with a great outdoor patio in front. Not far from the Pantheon, but feels slightly off the crazy tourist core. They serve a variety of mozzarella with a wide range of high-quality antipasto. Excellent pizza. Good wine selection with acceptable by the glass selections. Friendly, helpful, multi-lingual staff. Very good pizzas. It was very busy so we had to sit inside. Waiter was good but brought more bottles of water than we ordered and then has to request to have extras taken off the bill but it was "no problem". It was more modern than some of the quaint restaurants around but delicious. read more

out of our 9 days in Italy (rome, florence and venice) this was one of my favorite meals! I saw this place as we were walking through the streets. We took a look at the menu and as I saw the food being served I knew we had to try this place out. We got a cheese and meat appetizer and a pizza and it was out of this world. The service was ok (pleasant) but she didn't come around again till we we're done had she come around sooner we would have another round of wine but decided to hit the road. Pretty overrated based on what I've heard. The pizza was fine, but the mozzarella (their signature item) was just average. Probably not worth the price. Also the waitress seemed pretty annoyed any time we needed service, which did not help the experience. I'd say stick to more authentic places in the area if you're looking for a good meal. read more

This is a really wonderful place. It's a trendy minimalist mozzarella bar. Unfortunately there was no seat available, but I came to know with this bar at Selfridge's in London and in the NYC IBM building (atrium). Rome's bar is the nicest, as I see it. They should open more restaurants (in Germany for instance). read more

We were so excited to have lunch here. Horrible customer service ruined our experience. Had to get up to ask for water and take our order after 20 minutes. Impossible to get their attention for salt and pepper and order drinks. We left after eating half the food. Bummer. read more

I've been to the Obika in Tokyo, and the quality of cheese was top notch at both locations, but the freshness was evident in Rome. Known for their mozzarella, we had antipasto - salumi/cheese/salad/"white pizza" i.e. bread with oil and salt, and a bottle of wine. It was all good. Service was hit or miss. We sat outside near the heat lamp and watched the action in the piazza. read more

We had our first meal in Rome here. Waiters were not that attentive but they spoke English so we were happy with that. We had 500g mozzarella and it was amazing. The ravioli was very good too. However we were disappointed by the prosciutto pasta. The prosciutto didn't seem to blend in very well. Overall the meal was good! read more

Do NOT go here. Based on our Airbnb hostess' recommendation, we tried this place out even though it is in a very tourist trap location. They brought me the wrong pizza, which I decided to keep so that I could eat at the same time as my date (and not have to wait longer). When we got the check, they charged us for the wrong, more expensive, pizza. We pointed this out, and they fought back. After we protested, they then pretended to discount the difference by first ADDing the difference, then subtracting the difference at the end, effectively keeping the bill at the same (incorrect) price. We protested again, they cursed at us in Italian, but handed us the difference in cash. It is clear that they try any gimmick to upcharge or make up extra money! To top things off, I got food poisoning from the pizza! read more
