Pasta alla vodka, lasagna and focaccia
    Jeri C.

This place is near but not in n the Piazza Navona which makes it a plus. Out of the way with friendly attentive staff and great food. We ate on the sidewalk and enjoyed pasta alla vodka and lasagna with drinks. They also have an all you can eat menu available. One of the best meals I had while in Rome for two weeks.

A total neighborhod gem, featuring speedy service, a simple menu, and tasty classics. My finacee and I arrived in Rome and were desperate for lunch. We found this place after bypassing a couple overly crowded pizza spots which were our original goal, and I'm so glad they did. Aside from somewhat brusque service, the experience was great. We ordered a Diavola pizza and a Navonna Notte pizza as well as the soppli. It was so good, we went back again, right before catching a train to Firenzia, making this the bookend meal to our trip in Rome.

Staff were super friendly. Ordered the abbacchio with potatoes and the lamb was so tender. The staff make it a very pleasant vibe in the restaurant, sometimes even singing. It was great.

    Delicious! Scoglio

Yum! We were seated outside between two local groups. That was our first good sign. What caught our eye was the steaming plate of pasta and seafood goodness. I should preface that my husband, son and I like a lot of flavor in my food but my daughter does not and this place suited all of our needs. I ordered the spaghetti with scoglio and it totally hit the spot. The red sauce was delicious and came with a heathy portion of mussels, clams and shrimp and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes. We also ordered the spaghetti with clams and pizza diavola and they were good too but my husband kept nibbling from my sauce so I think my dish was the winner of our 3. Daughter ordered the vodka penne dish. Also very good, not your American version of vodka sauce but mild and she enjoyed it. Reasonably priced for being steps away from Piazza Navona. Deficit recommend the Spaghetti Scoglio!

On a friend's recommendation, we visited this lovely restaurant as soon as we arrived in Rome. Our meals were splendid! Fresh, delicious, and flavorful. Wonderful service and friendly smiles abound. We each tried a different dish, and shared. A wonderful welcome to the city. I am so looking forward to coming back!

Delicious food. Great service. The owner speaks great english and he's extremely personable. Convenient location with outdoor seating. I had the fettuccine bolognese and it was to die for! The suppli was absolutely mouthwatering. I tried the pizza as well which was flavorful and crispy. They have a wide selection of wines and beers. The menu has a variety of genuine Italian cuisine. I highly recommend this joint!!

Came here with 3 friends on a Friday night. There was no wait, and we were seated right away. As college students visiting italy from NYC, we loved the food. Two friends had pizza and two friends had penne alla vodka. Everything was delicious and only around 8 euros. The reason I give it 4 stars is because the service is very disorganized. I understand that in Italy, waiters are just supposed to take your order and deliver the food, but our waiter did not take our order for awhile, kept forgetting to give us the bill, and told us he would give us the wifi password but never returned. Overall, it's a great place to go for food, but the service can definitely be improved.

Very very good! Had a delightful meal with pasta and mussels and house red wine. Vodka penne was a hit with the kids.

Nice establishment !! American friendly. House wine was good an inexpensive. Meals were large and tasty. Great atmosphere. We ate inside but there is an outside area at the street which is nice too. Waiter did not speak good English but tried hard to understand us and communicated well. Right down the street we were ripped off by another restaurant so Americans have to watch out in Italy but this place was great and treated us terrific.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.

So happy we did as this place definitely delivers. There is seriously like 8 tables in the dining room so expect a wait in line but trust me, it's worth it. We waited outside for about 25 minutes. They do take your order while in line so the wait for food (once you do get a table) is abbreviated. Out of the world pastas and the pistachio tiramisu is seriously out of this world. Inexpensive table wine rounds out a great meal. This is the type of place I love to go to. It's quaint, zero pretense and delivers on its food. A great find!

It's a licorice like liqueur enjoyed as a digestif. Definitely an acquired taste that reminded me of Aguardiente.
