I ordered flowers for my staff in my office while I was traveling, Oberer's theme is "OH" Flowers but it should "Oh" I forgot. One employee get flowers the other 6 did not. "Oh" what a nightmare. I have previously gotten good service from them but never order larger quantity from them before. "Oh" Boy it seems they can not handle volume, what a shame. I would think twice about doing that again. I have called to speak to the manager at the Easton location but it seems they are not available and I need to leave a message for them to call back. Walked in yesterday to see if they had any flowers for a table arrangement. I looked around and saw 3 people who made eye contact with me and proceeded to completely ignore me as a customer. No one said hello or we'll be right with you (if you're busy this response would be polite). But after standing around like an idiot for a good 5-7 minutes I walked out and won't be going back. I spent about half an hour online going through florist websites to send flowers to Columbus from So Cal. I liked Oberer's best and ordered the Emerald Forest Bouquet to be sent to my sister in law in the hospital. I wasn't sure when she would be released, so told my brother I had ordered flowers. He asked who I used. When I said Oberer's, he said, "They're the best, the only florist we use." When the flowers arrived, they called to say they were "Absolutely gorgeous" and everyone who walked into the room commented how beautiful they were. I had to do the flowers for my daughter's wedding at the last minute. I was freaking Out! I went to Oberer's and was helped tremendously! I didn't have an appointment, but the wedding planner took 45 minutes to help me pick out flowers and place the order. She even made suggestions as to what I could do. That said, I wasn't impressed with the other staff. They weren't at all helpful. If the Planner hadn't been there, I would have still been freaking out. The flowers weren't all fresh and the rose edges had begun curling. After making the bouquets, I wasn't sure they would still be good for the wedding. It was hot outside, but we kept everything refrigerated until the ceremony. Everything worked out fine, but I wasn't pleased with quality of flowers and customer service by the staff other than the wedding planner. I won't use them again. read more

I am TOTALLY pissed off. I ordered an arrangement that was "masculine, minimal, and contemporary" to be delivered to my boyfriend's hotel room while he was away on business. Today is our 8-year anniversary, so to make sure I got what I wanted, I told them I would spend $150. What arrived was not masculine, not minimal and NOT at all contemporary. It looks like something you would see sitting next to your Great Grandmother's casket as she lays in repose. The "arrangement" is COVERED in Easter Lillies!!!! And yellow roses! There is NOTHING masculine about that. These amateurs took advantage of me and ripped me off. What arrived is ABSOLUTELY not worth $150. You've been warned. Tread carefully and spend cautiously with these florists. But definitely keep them in mind when your Great Grandma kicks the bucket! read more

I recently ordered a flower arrangement from Oberer's Flowers for a funeral in West Chester, Ohio over the phone. I ordered from Oberer's as they have a shop in West Chester so I believed they'd get the to a local funeral home. The man who answered took all required information including my Visa card number and I was billed that day. On the day of the funeral my wife and I were disappointed, there flowers were not there. After the funeral, on the same weekend, I called Oberer's and asked what had happened. Julie answered and said that they had been delivered before the funeral. On further questioning I found that the flowers had been delivered (on time) to ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME. The remedy offered was to send the same $130 arrangement AGAIN! I asked for a refund and was told that I'd have to wait until the person who could authorize the refund was in the office. I called back on Monday and was told the person who could authorize a refund WAS in the office but away from the phone and that I would get a call back as soon as that person was free; my order order information was on the authorizer's desk. Another day passed and I called again. This time I was told that Julie wasn't in. This feels like the old 'Run-Around". Since Oberer's took my money AND acknowledged that they had sent the flowers to the wrong funeral home, shouldn't anyone be able to refund my money? After my mother passed away on October 15th, I called Oberers Flowers to order flowers for her viewing and funeral service. Note: I had previously ordered flowers from Oberers for my parents 50th wedding anniversary in 2013, and I was pleased with their service. The prices were a bit more reasonable than other florists I had called, and I was very happy with the arrangements. However, when the flowers arrived at the church for the viewing, one of the arrangements was missing its ribbon (it was supposed to have a ribbon that said "Our Beloved Sister"), and the arrangement that was on the casket had a ribbon on it that said "Our Beloved Wife". REALLY?? It made it sound like our mother had more than one husband! Obviously this was a mistake, but it was still embarrassing. The viewing was on Monday evening, and the funeral was scheduled for Tuesday morning. Early Tuesday morning, I called Oberers and told them about the situation. To their credit, they sent someone out to replace the incorrect ribbon and also to deliver the ribbon that was missing. Thankfully, they did all of this before the funeral! Placed an order over a week ago for valentines everything seemed fine until I get there to pick it up ok valentines. I get there first they can't find it, then another lady found them and she says to me " oh we ran out of boxed roses but we do have this which is the same price." So basically they are leaving me in a hard place because they know I need them so I basically paid for something not as nice with a big flower pot that will end up in the trash. A large planter was ordered for my sister-in-law upon the death of her mother. Planter was specifically chosen for the orchids included and with the delivery fee was over 100.00. The first plant delivered was not at all what was ordered, they say they sent another, but no such plant was received. The third plant sent out was the correct planter, but no orchids were included and it did not resemble a 100.00 order in the least. When I called a third time I was told the Columbus store "forgot" the orchid and they would redeliver the following day and pick up the poor quality replacement. The issue with this is my sister-in-law goes back to work tomorrow and won't be home. What a waste of time. Oberers has been my go to for 10+ years. They did my daughter's wedding and although that was not an exemplary experience I just put it down to poor execution on the part of the wedding consultant. Unfortunately had two funerals to purchase flowers for at the same time so went online to Oberer's and placed the orders. For some insane reason, they charged me for one order and then placed the other order on a "house credit account" and didn't collect my payment. Months later, I received an invoice from Oberer's in the mail saying I owed them for one of the orders. I threw the invoice away thinking that they had just mistakenly sent another bill. Then more invoices started arriving via mail and then the phone calls started. The people I have spoken with on the phone admit this was an error on their part and that Oberer's should have never given someone who has never done business with them the option of putting the order on a "house credit account". However, they are adamant that I must pay this invoice which is now over a year old. I told them they had the opportunity to collect my money when I placed the order and I am not responsible for the error on their website at the time of the order. They told me they'd send me to collections for $30. Fine, go right ahead Oberer's....you do what you gotta do. I can guarantee you that you've already spent well over $30 on your collections efforts and I look forward to continuing to increase your costs even more in the near future. read more

Look at horrible reviews and believe them! I ordered roses for Valentine's Day that died after one day. While Oberer's sent a replacement that was nice I had another issue a month later. I ordered roses for my mom's birthday. Again they died in just under a day. This is a premium priced florist and the flowers are very hit and miss, I would not recommend. After the funeral home told us that they worked with Oberer's, I immediately went to the yelp website to check out reviews. I was hesitant to use Oberer's flowers as the florist for my father in laws funeral based on the yelp reviews of funeral flowers. I am so very happy that we did. I first went to the shop just to check on quality and customer service. I was pleased with both. I returned the next day with my sister in law and daughter who ordered the flowers that they thought would best honor my FIL. Flowers were delivered to the funeral home just as we ordered. The only reason I ended up ordering through Oberer's flowers was because they were linked up with the funeral home where my friends service was being held. So I ordered what I thought was a nice bouquet for almost $100 and made a note that I would like to have as much blue in the bouquet as possible because that was my dear friends favorite color. Upon arrival to the funeral homeI begin looking for the flowers I ordered and couldn't find them. Instead they had delivered and ugly small very minimal bouquet with four yellow roses and about eight white carnations with some ugly reddish berry things. I was very very disappointed and upset so I spoke to the funeral home gentleman and he called Oberer's, he handed me the phone and I spoke to the woman and she claimed that my order somehow got routed to a company I've never heard of called consolidated funeral services and that her records indicated that I paid for a 50 or $60 bouquet which was also bullshit. Although the card on the flowers was from Oberer's flowers.... funny.... not. I was really upset and didn't feel like discussing it during my friends funeral service so I contacted them through email and ask them to make it right. Their way of making it right was to send me a bouquet after the fact and again the card that was delivered to my house with the flowers was from Oberer's flowers not consolidated funeral services like they had told me. I am totally cutting ties with Oberer's. I am sure it doesn't matter as I am just one person but I have had 4-5 disappointments with you guys in the last 20 months and am fed up with it. It started with my parents' anniversary in April 2016. I ordered $75 customized vase bouquet. I named flowers I wanted in there but specified for someone to call me as I wasn't sure of the cost of each flower and how large the bouquet would be due to the flowers I requested. I wanted certain ones due to their color. When it arrived to my parents, only the fill-ins were what I requested and the colors were nothing at all what I had written down. I called in and the manager never apologized or was sympathetic to my situation. He said I should have called in to place my order. When I said I tried but was told to do it online, he said he would come out to my house and take the flowers back. I said my Mom already had them and that he wasn't hearing my point. I ordered specific flowers and was totally ignored. He nor Oberer's took any blame for the situation but he was clearly trying to place it squarely on my shoulders. Over the course of the next several months, I ordered "today's special" thinking it was a safe bet and I had always been happy with Oberer's before April 2016. Well the flowers all had brown edges, were wilting as soon as they arrived, and dead within 2-3 days. The last straw was yesterday. Yesterday was my Mom's birthday. I thought I would surprise her with flowers and ordered "today's special - Rembrandt Roses for $19.95" plus tax and s/h. The roses pictured were dark red roses, yellow with orange tinge roses, cream roses, and a couple pink roses. My Mom sent me a pic of what was sent to her. She had BLUE roses, yellow roses, white roses, pink roses, and the berry fill-in. The color scheme did not match AT ALL what was online. Plus, the roses were all brown on the edges and some drooping (on their last leg) and the berry filler has brown leaves and very saggy due to being half dead. I called in about 3pm 1/8/18 and spoke with a lady (I don't have her name). She said that the Rembrandts come in a variety of colors. I said that it should be noted on the website because I was looking for those specific colors as that's what is shown. She offered to send out to me, free of cost, a new flower vase with the colors indicated in the picture online. I told her I greatly appreciated. Well I was with my Mom when she received the new flowers...and they were in the same colors! Purple, white, and pink. The hydrangea that was in this is clearly dead. My Dad stopped at a local florist and the flowers are absolutely amazing! The colors are spot on, they are all fully healthy, no brown spots or edges, no droopiness, nothing but beautiful flowers. They will have my full business from now on. My Mom has been a customer for over 40 years and will never use you guys again. read more

I just got married and had my flowers done by Linda. She was phenomenal to work with. Linda could tell me specifically what flowers would look good together, suggest colors and I could actually picture it. But when I first saw them, they were even more beautiful than I imagined. The centerpieces were prefect and perfectly sized for the tables. The decorations outside looked fabulous (until the gale-force winds took over.). The bouquets were stunning and not too heavy. And (my most important request) they didn't have an overpowering smell; just a light fragrance to let you know that you have flowers there. I'll not get married again, but for all of my other flower needs, I will return here! read more

They tried making it right with a discount and a re-delivery, but couldn't offer more off due to the fact they had to remake the arrangement and re-deliever. None of which was my fault. We had very specific flowers in mind to incorporate into the spray and arrangements unlike the traditional casket arrangements. In our very emotional state and at a peak time in the holidays, we were greeted warmly and gently guided through the process of selecting the exact flowers we were hoping for. Our arrangements were stunning. They possessed a "woody wintery" quality yet highlighted the flowers beautifully. We could not have been more pleased with the final product and the staff could not have been more helpful. We were thankful that a difficult task at a difficult time went so smoothly. I wish that I had bothered to read the most recent online reviews before I placed my order. I ordered a funeral arrangement online from Oberer's to be delivered on Sat., May 15th. According to the email they sent, the flowers were delivered at 1:36 p.m. on that day. When I arrived at the funeral home two and a half hours later, all of the flowers were wilted, droopy, and some were withered and brown. I was mortified that my family's name was on that dead but expensive arrangement. I emailed their office with a complaint. They responded 2 days later with an offer to send a replacement arrangement (not a big help since the funeral was over.) I replied that I wanted my money back, and provided photos of the arrangement. They have not refunded my money yet. Oberer's used to be an excellent florist, but their quality and customer service have declined sharply. I will never use them again. read more

CROOKS in disguise as florists! I ordered a flower arrangement in May for a funeral and paid an up charge to make this a nicer arrangement than the standard arrangement. The basic arrangement was supposed to have 24 roses, hydrangeas and some other flowers. When I went to the funeral home I saw the arrangement that I had ordered had only 20 roses and less hydrangeas than were pictured on their website for the standard arrangement. To make matters worse, some of the flowers were wilted. I called Oberers the next day and complained to the manager, Michelle. She apologized and told me this was a terrible mistake and she would refund me 40% of the price. In July I looked at my June credit card statement and there was no credit. I called and spoke to Michelle again. She told me that they had refunded me but they had problems with their system and that's why it didn't go thru She told me that the owner was in a meeting and he would call me back around 2:00p.m. I never got a call from him. The next day I called and was very angry about this and told Michelle that I wanted 100% back because of how this situation was being handled. She told me that she would refund me 75% of the price. It's now July 10th and there is still no refund. I just called my credit card company and put this charge in dispute. Stay away from Oberers!!! read more
