Absolutely do not recommend this place!! My husband send me anniversary flowers. He spent over $110 on 4 roses, a couple carnations and wilty filler flowers in a cheap dirty vase. At best, this a $30-40 arrangement. I would have been embarrassed to have sent these out let alone charge that much!! I just saw our credit card statement and my jaw almost dropped to the floor!! They obviously knew he was out of town, and assumed he would never see these. read more

I used Griffins to send flowers to a dear family friend. I never received confirmation that the flowers arrived (only that they were on their way). I also never received a photo of the final bouquet. I reached out to their customer service but they couldn't give me a concrete answer on if they'd been delivered to the front door. With what started as a semi/frustrating mishap with my arrangement/delivery, the owner called and was very personal and prompt in correcting miscommunications I had over the phone with my order. I was happy the owner is still heavily immersed within his business and doesn't let anything slip through the cracks by vying to ensure customers are happy with their floral orders. I must say I am pretty disappointed in the arrangement. It is not at all what I asked for or what I was told it would be. I requested the bouquet be filled with purples. I was told it would have purple gerbera daisies, light purple regular daisies, lavender roses and some white stalks etc mixed in. Honestly it feels like because we mentioned that the senders were from out of state you intentionally chose to not honor very clearly laid out requests. I also requested that the card be changed to reflect the names in the above email as well as to say Love from your Cabbie Sisters. The card is completely incorrect from what I noted above and was told the changes were made to the card. Clearly not a single change was made as requested. Wilma loved purple. We wanted purples. I was excited to send my mom a hanging basket for Mother's Day. I ordered it two weeks in advance. Everything was confirmed and the delivery address was accepted upon ordering. My credit card was charged. The day it was supposed to be delivered I received an email stating that they do not deliver to NYS (the delivery address accepted by them) and that when they called fleet shops THAT DAY they were not accepting orders. They had two weeks to let me know and waited until the delivery day, making it so that I was unable to send my mom anything in time. My credit card is still charged and they have not refunded my money. Update- I got a phone call on Saturday explaining they had ordered it through another flower business in Buffalo and found out on Saturday that the flowers couldn't be delivered. Actually, I got two phone calls- one from the manager and one from the owner. I got a full refund and they were able to send my mom a small plant with some fake flowers that were delivered by the end of Mother's Day. It was impressive that I got phone calls, a refund (without having to dispute through my credit card company) and they were able to send my mom something. If you are in the Columbus area, they are probably an awesome flower shop to work with. If I were to order flowers again to Buffalo, NY, I would likely pick another company. read more

Absolutely exhausted from dealing with these people. I went back and forth with one of the employees to get the order prepared for our small wedding. I had provided the budget which went over but I didn't want to fight about it leading up to the day. We even got so detailed as to the price of a handle to be added to my bouquet, $25. However I was very adamant about the need for the flowers to be delivered at a set time period. A lengthy invoice and contract was created by the floral shop and I signed and paid. Then the day before the wedding I get an email asking me if I could pick the flowers up 35 minutes from the venue on the wedding day. And I of course said no, I cannot as I will be getting ready downtown and won't be anywhere near and further, I already signed and paid in a contract that said the flowers were to be delivered. I was then told they had erroneously left out the delivery charge which should have been separate. Again, it says in the contract the flowers are to be delivered at 9am on the day of and in the small print it confirms this. I was then told I could pay an additional $65 to get my flowers delivered and I balked, as at this point we are already over budget, the contract said they were to be delivered and again I got less than 24 hours notice they were trying to change the terms. I told them this and I was apologized for and the flowers were delivered. I thought this was over and I don't like dragging a local business so I let it go. But now while on my honeymoon, I was sent another email request looking for an additional $50 now. I've had enough, this is stupid and unprofessional. read more

I even ordered two weeks ahead so they had time to find the exact flowers. So I was bummed and disappointed. They look good but not wow like the picture. They also died quickly comparing to another arrangement my parents sent from another local florist those are still incredible and that was two weeks ago. They did delivered on time. I cannot get out of Griffins 'constant contact Hell' 1) no 'unsubscribe' on email reminders 2) forced to go to their site 3) forced to set up password 4) no option to STOP emails or delete reminders 5) entered comments to customer service - then had to go through ( no exaggeration! ) 3 levels of security validation AND then accept a BS terms and conditions page!!!!! So, I called. Guess what?! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE via phone, no voice mail options. I ordered a flower arrangement on the occasion of the funeral of a friend from Griffins to be delivered to the church where funeral services would be held and where she was a parishioner of long standing. The delivery was complicated because the services were being held on 2 consecutive days and because of the process (totally understandable on the part of the florist of 'no contact delivery') . I ordered the flowers on 16th September for delivery on the 17th. I received an e-mail acknowledgment for delivery on the 17th. But on the afternoon on the 18th I got another e-mail stating the flowers had either just been delivered or were just being delivered. That made me very uneasy because the flowers were the only way I could show my sympathy to my friend's family and the members of the parish as I had moved from Columbus to New York city and could not personally attend the Services. I called Griffins to find out what had happened. The person who answered was aggressive: not only did she not tell me if the flowers had been delivered at all but seemed to thinks that offering me a refund would satisfy me. She repeatedly told me she was not at fault . This was not a case of blame but being able to reach out to all those who mourn my friend. I am glad of the refund but not of the aggressive response by the clerk. read more
