Will avoid like the plague in the future. Was at a party with our daughter who is clearly of age and they claimed she had ordered alcohol (which is legal for her to drink) and threw her out. Buch of officious little gestapo-wannabes on the door. She had come all the way from Canberra especially to be at her friend's party. This is the wowser state NSW has become. Will not visit again. The venue looks great and if you dont eat or drink anything you might enjoy yourself. The beef nachos had so much salt that it burnt my throat and I was left feeling ill for the rest of the night and still felt inflamed the next morning. Washing the food down with a bourbon and coke was a mistake as the postmix delivered both aweful tasting bourbon from the hand held tap that mixed with what tasted like dirty water cola. The bar staff replaced the drink and it was slightly better but I left with a bad taste iny mouth (literally) and a salt overdose induced cough. Terrible experience. Wont be coming back. read more

Ahh, another one of the many railway pubs that seemed to dominate the Sydney public transport system (and something that is sorely missed in Melbourne). This one was, not surprisingly, pretty good, though not hugely fantastic. I guess it had a lot to do with the rather limited number of beers on tap, none of them which really grabbed my attention. However, this is still a pretty decent pub, and it actually has quite a large beer garden as well, which does give it some merit. read more

I've only been here a few times in my younger days for the usual partys & game nights. I dropped in tonight with the family for a dinner pub feed, 80% of the tables in the place were either reserved or had people sitting there already but luckily with a bit of walking around we found a table in the corner next to the stage, prime spot in front of the TV to watch the roosters v bunnies game was meant to be haha!! I've forgotten how big this place is... could most definitely be the biggest pub in the area as in and all rounder of a pub. It has the dining upon entry at the front with the kitchen and where you can order food, also on one of the other entry doors you have the bar and a Pokies room behind. If you further in past the bar you have the TAB/KENO to your left in the corner and then beside that plenty of seating in front of TVsand a with the TAB close by and right beside was a stage for live performances. Then had the outdoor beer garden with plenty of seating with tables and upstairs another beer garden with an umbrella roof & a massive outdoor tv and plenty of seating, then inside on the 2nd level were 2 genourous sized function rooms with a full bar aswell. What more do you need haha?! Also they have a massive park out the front optionally if you have a blinder you can lay down on the grass till the mornin, or just cabbit/book an ubes:)! There is plenty of parking beside the hotel in their patrons only parking lot and also directly out the front and all around the Hotel so never to far to walk :). The menu is an A4 sized menu, one side was all Pizzas and other side was Meat/Seafood/Pasta mains & Desserts :) I ordered the Lamb Cutlets and Cannelloni, sister octopus salad, dad garlic prawns, mum prawn cutlets, cousin & sisters BF Schnittyz :D. They had Wild Yak on tap, Yaks are a top drop so got that for me, my cousin and my mum :)! My cutlets were super tasty & Cannelloni was really creamy and tasty by far the best pub pasta I've ever had :D, as for the rest of the family their spotless plates spoke for themselves haha!! I walked off and ordered some ice cream for myself cause no one else was keen and then ordered a Piccolo and the girl behind the counter enticed me to try the apple crumble pizza so i went with her fine recommendation:D. I got the banana & choc mint gelato.. the choc mint Gelato was off the hook tasty :). My piccolo and the dessert pizza (apple crumbled cooked with custard and then topped on the pizza with toasted coconut sprinkled over it with 2 scoops of Vanilla) arrived shortly afterwards.. suprisingly the rest off the family all of a sudden got humgry for dessert haha.. it had 6 slices so was the perfect icing to a perfect meal :). This was one of the easiest of my 5 star reviews, my family were super delighted and a revisit is definitely on the table :)!! read more

Oatley is one of my favorite Villages ...... it's just awesome to be here and wandering around grabbing a coffee and watching the morning turn into middle of the day and then early afternoon. It's fun watching families, couples ... kids enjoying the park and the many novel shops around the leafy suburb. As for Joey .... an extension of a great suburb is its common meeting place .... it's Hotel .... it's pub ..... The Oatley Hotel has always been regarded as a quality pub with lots on offer, from its wide selection of beverages to its ever changing entertainment line up. We have live music, Comedy nights and for funky people ... DJ's mixing up the latest tunes. The food is above average with a dedicated Pizza bar incorporated into the Hotel. A must try is the neat three levels of outdoor terraces ..... great for kids and large enough to accommodate big groups. read more

Below average food and service with a high end price. The steak was unevenly cooked and covered with cheesy white sauce. Chips were terrible. This pub was great five years ago but has gone down hill in a big way. read more

Awesome venue! If you ever get a chance to stop by at Oatley hotel you can't pass up on one of their amazing schnitzel dishes from the bistro! The hotel has a number of great entertainment options available throughout the week and is super family friendly! Ordered a garlic cheese pizza entree and 2 pork belly mains. Got the pizza quickly then 1 pork belly. 48 minutes later we received the second pork belly. The manager told us there was nothing he could do, however did offer a dessert pizza. I believe the late meal should've been comped. read more
