My 10-year-old ordered a scoop of strawberry ice cream--a safe flavor... or do we thought--while…read moreour family was out celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately, it had an odd taste, and when we politely asked if we could exchange it, the employees flatly refused. She didn't offer alternatives, a refund, a credit, coupon or even the option to speak with management--just a rigid "it's not my rules." I understand policies exist, but when a child is visibly disappointed (especially during what was supposed to be a special celebration), good businesses find ways to make things right. There were nine of us ordering, and yet they wouldn't accommodate a single scoop of ice cream to keep a young customer happy. It's not about the cost--it's about the principle. A little flexibility or kindness would've gone a long way. We won't be returning to that location at least, and I'd caution other families to manage their expectations when it comes to customer care here. In a side note their matcha is horrible. I ordered it during a previous visit but didn't complain and left, figured oh well I will deal with it. Different when ice cream means so much to a child though. --- This keeps your tone firm but fair, highlights the lack of empathy, and makes it clear how this affected your experience. You can adjust the wording to match your voice, but this should get the point across effectively!

Plus we are going international, this is stop number two of two. Atmosphere - Take a step into a Mexican restaurant. The colors pop in this frozen treat palace. Large display freezers line the south side of the place. Drooling over all the treats, labeled in Spanish with a smaller font in English. The font was still large enough for this old guy. Food - I have been wanting to try a Paletas for a long time. It was worth the wait and I will be trying more in my future. I had the gooseberry, I do love berries and this one did not disappoint. I did eat it a little to fast and caused a brain freeze to occur. Service - I was greeted in Spanish. I had no clue what she said, but I responded in English, and after that we were good. We were the only ones in the place that was speaking English. The staff was very patient with us, as it was the first time here and there are so many choices. Future - Everyone loved their treats. So I could see coming back here again.

Check your receipts and bank statements carefully before leaving this business!…read more I recently visited Neveria Chayos on Glendale &35th ave and noticed two major issues with how they calculate totals at checkout using their Clover system! #1 A Hidden Debit Card Fee: My printed receipt total was $44.25, but they manually inflated the checkout screen right before I swiped my debit card. My bank account was charged $45.25! Charging an un-itemized, hidden $1.00 fee on a debit card violates standard card network rules and federal regulations. #2 Inflated Sales Tax: They manually configured their register to charge a flat 10.0% sales tax on the receipt. In the City of Phoenix, the actual combined state, county, and city tax rate for restaurants/prepared food is 8.6%. They are artificially padding the tax line on every transaction. Watch the terminal screen closely when you pay here. I have already submitted formal compliance reports to the card networks and the Arizona Department of Revenue regarding these practices.

The owner assisted me, he also suggested I rinse out my jugs since they had a little water left in them. He took the time to explain that rinsing them out is better so that we can reduce the chance of bacteria. I keep my bottles in my carport so that is very helpful. Then, he explained what can happen to a bottle in the heat. I had one twist lid and one slide on lid bottle. I prefer the twist lids, but bottles aren't cheap so we've got to do what we can to re use them as long as we can. There have been updates inside.
