I stopped in to Oasis for lunch after a morning stroll on the boardwalk on a Sunday. I was welcomed in. Staff was friendly. The restaurant's location is a couple of blocks from the Beach 90st subway stop and a couple blocks to Rockaway Beach. I got the shrimp tempura appetizer and the cold kale ramen noodles. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. read more

My goodness the food was amazing I had rice and chicken and a roman and chicken two drinks for under $30 the best food I've had all year i downloaded yelp app just to leave this review the world need to know about this place read more

The place is kind of cozy if you score the corner spot with benches. The rest of the place has you sitting on a metal stool. I don't love that. We got food to eat in, but everything was served in to-go containers. I really do not like that. I ordered my 83 year old Mother This rice dish. It had thinly sliced beef. The beef was not edible. It was so hard it resembled beef jerky. The waiter is a sweet young guy. I told him to taste the beef and he did. He agreed it was hard. He offered to give me something else, but i was not interested. The Shoyu ramen was good, but the monster ramen tasted weird. It almost tasted like paprika. Not at all what we remembered from when we were here a while ago. The appetizers (pork dumplings and lollipop shrimp) were good. I'm pretty sure I will not be coming back here. read more

Oasis Ramen House - Love it - Ramen Near Me - Queens, New York

3.5 stars for this ramen spot overall. My Yelp bestie Jo and I arrived 30 minutes before closing so this was not going to be a leisure dining experience. Management was quick to mention it but hunger wins. We ordered quickly and ate quickly. (They were cleaning and packing up the items in the kitchen but never rushed us). Our ramen was quite flavorful and the broth was quite good. Seems during the pandemic, they are serving things in plastic containers and so the full ramen bowl experience was not there...that or it was because they were closing. LOL I'm not sure now. The overall menu looked promising and I saw a few delivery app mentions on their door so I'm guessing that they get good foot traffic when it's a normal business day. The decor was simple and meant for a fast dining experience. Now remember, this is the Rockaways so the ramen game here is not like in Manhattan. Sounds like there are very few spots even offering. I enjoyed my ramen but sad we couldn't get the full experience. Not their fault ... Pandemic restrictions. So if you're in town, it's worth a taste. read more

The ramen falls flat on flavor and ingredients aren't the best quality. I ordered the miso ramen and the chicken was boiled and bland. When they first opened their food was delicious, I'm not sure what has changed. read more

Did an online order and they didn't disappoint. Food was super hot and tasty. It's small and quiet inside but the employees were friendly. The pork bun was out of this world... super flavorful and fresh! Only wish I had more! The ramen was tasty and a little different than I'm used to but not in a bad way. The beef was delicious and the broth was soothing. The prices are also good for how much food you get. I would totally come back! read more

Was it the best ramen I've ever had? No but it was delicious and was quick. Just an FYI it was a Togo order, so I can't speak on service but it was a relatively small space that wasn't too busy when I picked up the order. It definitely hit the spot for the ramen craving I was having though read more

No frills ramen shop. Came here about 30 mins before closing and they kindly accommodated us. When our order was brought to us, everything was served on disposable plastic ware. Not sure if it was the norm or if it was because it was close closing time. That being said, though, the food itself was good. For $13, I had the basic tonkatsu ramen bowl, and opted for extra bamboo shoots at $1. I initially thought it was a little small as far as portion size, but the ingedients were good quality. The pork belly was a good combo of lean & fat, ramen was a perfect chewy al dente, the soup was hot & savory umami, and the ramen accouterments were fresh. I rarely go to Far Rockaway, but I'd consider returning here for a quick bite if I'm ever in the nabe again. read more

Great little spot but pricey for the small serving size, just call me a fatty I guess. Love the interior decorations especially the fixtures on the ceiling. We all ordered the ramen, miso and tonkotsu broth were ordered. Both broths are perfectly salted, but did not possess that hearty and robust pork or miso flavor. As I stated earlier the portion sizes were on the smaller side and that goes for the protein, ramen and vegetables. I only saw one cook and server and they were all hard at work taking and preparing our orders. I would have gave them a 3 star rating but they deserve the extra star for working so hard. We also had the takoyaki Octopus balls and they were gooey delicious with a generous topping of Bonito flakes and mayo. I've only tried the chicken karage and the rock shrimp but both are exceptional! Always picked up to go and always ready and hot!

We ordered dinner through one of the delivery apps. They did a great job of packing the food so that it traveled well and was way to assemble. Sometimes that could be a bit challenging with ramen and other soups. I had the monster ramen and we shared sides of pork dumplings and fried chicken bits. Everything was good. My wife had the Gyu ramen. I preferred her broth to mine. read more

I've never had fresh Ramen before only the fried stuff from the grocery store. But I'm pleasantly surprised by how delicious the Ramen is at this restaurant. We had the Pork Gyoza appetizers which were very tender and delicious with a flavorful dipping sauce. I had the Tonkotsu Ramen which was absolutely scrumptious. The pork belly was tender, delightfully crisp, and yet succulently tender. The broth was delicious and the ramen noodles were tender. There was thinly sliced ginger, bamboo shoots, bok choy and thinly sliced black fungus (mushrooms). I was surprised at how good the boiled egg was with the ramen. My daughter got the Miso Ramen, which was equally delicious but with a more robust flavor. The pork belly was delicious along with scallions, bok choy, ginger ribbons and black fungus. My daughter gave me the tender delicious boiled eggs. We will definitely be going back to sample the rest of the delicious items on the menu. I can't wait to try the edamame, pork belly bun, vegetable gyoza, spring roll, seaweed salad and the rest of the appetizers. I especially can't wait to try the Champon Ramen, Vegetable Ramen, Monster Ramen, , Gyu Men, Gyu Don and tge Cold Kale Noodles. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone /everyone........even if you don't like the store bought ramen noodles. This will completely change your mind about fresh ramen read more

Came here before going to the beach it was a pick up order, food came in a plastic bag w/ a brown bag inside napkins, chop sticks & spoons were included. This spot is right next to beach so we stopped to eat on the board walk. And the food was hitting! I tell you. The pork buns and edamame complimented each other well then I followed that up with the fried ice cream ‍. Had my Raman like a hour later while chilling on the beach bad idea but I still liked it even though it was cold. =( Definitely recommend!! read more

Hmmm not too sure what I want to give this place but I guess 3.75 sounds about right. Relatively standard fare for a ramen place; we had the tonkatsu ramen, and the spring rolls and all of it was solid but definitely nothing special about it nor a strong depth of flavor. I suppose if I were in the rockaways often this is bound to be the go to ramen spot but for the rest of nyc there are definitely better options to consider. Still the staff was nice, it was clean and not too crowded i.e. parking was ok. read more

I ordered the karaage chicken, monster ramen, and a ramune soda for delivery. The karaage didn't have much flavor. The monster ramen was not spicy at all. I added more pepper to it. The only Ramen restaurant in the rockaways!!! What a hidden gem! We decided to try it out and oh boy oh boy, just so heart warming ramen soup. Used to love coming here. Food used to always be good, Restaurant clean and nice ambience. Won't be eating in anymore as they serve everything in to go containers and cups.Boxes stacked up and stuff just left opened. Not sure if ownership changed but quality is definitely down on everything . Won't be coming back unfortunately. Why would we eat out to eat from to go containers on sub par food. Really unfortunate :( ***As we are leaving the cook took lunch and served it to himself in a nice glass dish. Ridiculous lol! The to go containers are also much smaller than what the normal service used to be and broth was served on the side. So smart for them but not worth it to eat in. Get it to go if you can deal with it knows it's not as clean as it used to be. read more

Personally I really liked the broth in the Tonkotsu ramen. I love broth and I tend to judge ramen by it. The broth felt more chicken based and gingery. I loved it. Very pure and super tasty. The chicken Karaage was good because of its spicy ketchup mayo thing! (i love spicy mayo). Dont get me wrong, the fried chicken itself was good topped w sweet sauce and more green powder. The homemade pork dumplings were good too. The steamed pork buns were good too.The pork was less of the fatties and more meaty. The pork slice was chunky so a little tough to bite off the easy steamed bun but, tasty. Everything was good. read more

This was my first time ordering from Oasis and my family absolutely loved it. It was their first time trying Ramen and they are fans. We ordered the Vegetable dumplings which were flavorful. The food at this restaurant was perfectly edible but the environmental practices are horrendous. They serve everything in plastic containers that are immediately thrown away following each and every use. They clearly have room for a dishwasher in the back but instead choose to contribute to ruining the environment by using only single use disposable dishes, containers, cutlery, and glasses. I will absolutely never eat here again. read more

Don't be deceived by appearances this is a superb casual ramen spot! Soup base is complex and delicious with well cooked noodles. Best ramen place in Rockaway. I had the Tonkotsu Ramen. The flavors are great and is hot even after taking it home. I usually order out for this place, but I dined in once. It was packed with limited seating, but the waiters were fast. When I got my ramen, the beef was missing. They quickly cooked beef on the side and gave it to me. They don't slack off when cooking, and have fast service. Great place for food, and so delicious! read more

For the Rockaways this place is heaven sent. It is very exciting to add to the small variety of Japanese restaurants that RB has. And yes! There is something other than sushi! Woot woot! Anyway, its on restaurant row, so parking is a little tight but there is some residential blocks so now horrible. The inside is small but cozy. They have these steel stools which I'm not the biggest fan of because you can't hang a jacket or a purse but it does take up little space. As far as those stools there is not much going on with the decor however the food here is what does the talking. The menu is small but I don't care because everything I have had this far has been great. The servings are plentiful and they don't skimp out on veggies or meats. I like the rice bowl which is an option if you don't want ramen. There is also a handful of appetizers. I like the calamari sticks, it is so crunchy and seasoned well. Also! I recommend that you try the chili sauce made in house by whom I assume is the owner. I have a high tolerance for spicy so I pretty much use half a jar of that stuff on my food. Overall? Thank you for adding the diversity to RB Ramen House! I will definitely be back. Oh! And the service is great. Friendly people, very polite and know their locals. read more

I used to take the ferry to get my ramen fix. I used to wish and hope that I could get my ramen fix In my own neighborhood. My wish has been answered. O'Sake is the real deal; not a faux Ramen House that serves watered down broth. Danny Tung, the owner is passionate and does not cut corners. He cooks his broth 8 to 12 hours The proof is in the soup. The charred pork in the Ramen is the best I've had: charred, Smokey and not fatty. Suggestion: Try Danny's homemade oil based sauce as an additive to the soup. It looks very hot but is mildly spiced. It really adds depth to the ramen. read more

I swear, I was walking past this location last month and said out loud "What Rockaway needs is a Ramen shop!"....and a couple of weeks later my wish came true! I'm obsess with ramen! My usual favorite is Tan Tan Ramen but they didn't have it on their menu. Hopefully that changes soon! My son chose the Shoyu ramen which was good. A bit one note for me but he enjoyed it a whole lot. I had the Gyu Ramen with black garlic oil. It was good!! The broth was light, clean and beefy. The black garlic oil gave it a smoky flavor I enjoy a lot. At one point a lady offered me the chili oil. Didn't know it then but I kinda needed it. It was garlicky, not hot, and super tasty. The ramen was curly and firm. The thin beef was good and plentiful. Egg was a perfect soft boil. (Although I wish it were a Shoyu Tamago-soy sauce marinated egg.) Overall a 4 out of 5. We also had the Takoyaki and they were really really nice. Crisp and browned on the outside and gooey inside. That was a 5 out of 5! Gyoza were good too. The service was great. A lot of attention and timely appetizers. Overall super happy about this shop and it's off to a great start! Get me Tan Tan Ramen, and you have me for life! read more
