Same happens every couple of visits -which is not consistent to me. The lady who worked on me this past week did a poor job of an uneven cut to the toenails and so disappointed in the polish job she did! It's coming off, chipping etc. never, ever happened elsewhere or on other visits. I believe it was done purposely bc I asked her to cut them a bit shorter. Should it be a mistake to not return? Yes. I have been living in Friendswood for 25 years. I've gone to this salon on many occasions. It's all good until you want them to do something in a certain way! Never again will I spend $130 plus a month. Word of advice to the owner. Ask your workers to do as they were asked and to not be upset. The client just wants something done for their own reasons - not to be punished with bad service by them. Unbelievable. You lost a good client! read more

I've been here before but I had to Yelp our experience today. My mom and I took my daughter for a girls day out for pedicures. I would give five stars except for my Mom's experience which was leas than stellar. But the ladies who took care of my daughter and I were fabulous. The business is nice and well organized. The ambience was relaxing - with pop music being played a la classical style. Everything looked clean and hygienic. We simply walked in and were seated together in the back area. My mom and I got standard 45 minute pedicures with massage, cuticle and callus treatments, warm towels, warm oil, as well as a neck, shoulder, and arm massage. My mom and I had completely different experiences. Mine was wonderful, and hers was mediocre at best. The lady who did her pedi skipped the double color coat and oil treatments, and did a half way massage. My mom is usually a big tipper and she was upset at the lady's evident lack of attention. I was lucky enough to get CiCi who did an AMAZING job. She was super sweet and very professional. Her leg massage almost put me to sleep. She did a wonderful job with my gel nail polish. And I must say, I do not like massages but her ministrations to my neck, shoulders and arms were phenomenal. I am not typically a big tipper but she deserved every penny of the 28% I gave her, as well as the major kudos for a job well done. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Zero Stars. Do not go here! I never leave a review but if it saves someone else from my experience, then it's worth it. I got a pedicure and dip manicure. The massage rollers gave me horrible bruises all up and down my back. It hurt so bad, I could barely move for 3 days. My thumb on my right cracked in 4 places. My middle finger on my left chipped. I relectantly went back for repairs today. However, they would not fix it because I couldn't remember her name. There was a separate manicurist that did my feet and nails. The one that did my nails never gave me her name. The pedicure person did, Kristine. All of that cost me $190, for it to last 3 days. Again, don't go here, the worse experience of my life. Cons: The shop is not the most aesthetically pleasing. I don't think it was dirty, just in need of an update. For the way the salon looked, I thought the price was high. $50 for a refill and shellac. But, I am very pleased with the quality, meh . . . You can not use cards for your tip, you can for the service, just not the tip. There is also a cash discount, I never have cash. Been here twice. First experience was fine. The lady who did my bails was nice and did exactly what I asked her to. This time that was not the case. The lady today was rather rude and did not do what I asked her to. All I asked for was white nails with a simple leaf on one finger. It took an hour + 20 min to just do the white base. And when she got to do the leaf, another client came in who wanted this lady to do her nails. The lady working on me rushed through the leaves so she could be done. They looked awful so I asked her to take them off and just leave the nails white. She also kept hitting my cuticles with the sander which hurt a lot and also when she was cleaning up on the under side of the nail dug into my nail bed! The skin on the end of my finger and under my nail is still sore. Left annoyed that I paid $55 for a bad job (that took and hour and a half start to finish) and hurting hands. It was a bit after 6pm when I arrived and I was warmly greeted and serviced no waiting. I got a shellac polish and overlay on my nails and the tech was attentive but failed to ask me what shape I wanted and that's the only reason 1 subtracted a star. I'm sure I would come again because it's a large salon several techs all friendly staff and pricing is cool with 5% cash back if paying in cash also they are opened until 8pm that's rare unless you go to the mall. read more

First impression .. The place has that horrid " chemical " smell as soon as you walk in the door . I try to get over it and go to pick my color , their nail polish selection is awful ! Went in for the first time a week ago to get my nails done for a wedding. I had heard so many great things about this place and my boyfriends mom gave me a gift certificate for the salon so I was really excited to finally try it out. The ladies there are nice but the mani and pedi I get was absolutely horrible. I got regular polish and the lady that did my nails painted over my cuticles (didn't even try to cut them or push them back), painted on my skin and there were parts of the nail that weren't painted properly at all. There was another customer there who we were chatting with--she had an appointment at 6:00 and did not get helped until 6:50. That is unexcusable. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, but the lady who did my nails did a decent job. However, it's only four days since my appointment and my polish is already majorly chipping off. I would never suggest going here. My friend and I went there for my birthday, and we had the worst experience ever! It was supposed to be a time of fun and relaxation but the two ladies we got pedicures from were very rude!! Before going there, I called to see how much their services were and I was quoted a price. After going in, the lady handed my friend a paper with different types of pedicures and their prices. NONE of the prices showing were what the receptionist originally told me. Turns out, there was another set of prices (cheaper) that the pedicurist didn't tell us about! It was so shady!!! After we told them what we wanted (slightly cheaper pedicures) the ladies doing our pedicures were SO RUDE and you could tell they were talking bad about us. I decided to give Oasis nails a try because I needed a mani/pedi and this nail salon is very close by. The salon appeared clean and nice. It was somewhat crowded. I started off with a Tiki Pedicure which I enjoyed. The foot, arms and neck massage is amazing. Overall, I am satisfied with my pedicure. The pedicure came out nice. I moved on to get my manicure. I asked If the salon does the nail overlay or powder. The manicurist asked me if I wanted the overlay as short as my nails (which are short). I asked if she could extend the overlay out just a little bit to add some length to my nails. She started the pinky and stopped and asked me if I just wanted to add the nail tips and put the overlay over that because my nails are too short. I said no because I dislike gluing on the nail tips. What's the point of the overlay if you're using nail tips? She asked twice and I said no. I finally said can I just get a regular mani and a nail polish. She took the overlay off of my pinky and did my manicure and nail polish. I hardly ever complain about the work someone does because I have respect for all working people...but my manicure didn't come out great whatsoever. I loved the color and I like the large OPI selection that the salon has. The color was the only aspect that came out decent. It was the worst nail filing job I have ever had to say the least. All of my nails had jagged edges when I left the salon and I had to file them myself as soon as I got home. As I was filing my nails, I noticed that there was a lot of polish on my skin. I understand that time is money but I think that for what I paid my manicurist could've at least been considerate to file them correctly and at least double check and see if there's polish on my skin. I still tipped my manicurist and I will not give out names or throw anyone under the bus but I wouldn't recommend the manicurist with the name beginning with "K" to anybody. I am highly disappointed with the nail job that I received and will not corm back to this nail salon. The pedicure was decent but not the manicure. I love Oasis! I've been a customer there for approximately five years now. I had been going to a different salon close by for over seven years. One day I couldn't get into my regular salon, so I tried Oasis. That day, I made an appointment with Yen. I've never been back to my original nail salon again. Oasis may be a little more expensive, but they use quality product. My nails stay on a long time without lifting or breaking. Yen and Holly are both excellent! Scheduling is easy. I took my 3 year old for a pedicure and practically paid the same price ($22 I believe) as mine. They call it a Princess Pedicure and splash some water, light massage, some filing and of course the nail painting. The gal that was doing my nails quit half way because she had an appointment come in. The lady that picked up was not my cup of tea. She seemed annoyed. They do a fantastic job and the manicurists are really skilled - they also do great design work on nails. Everyone here is super nice. I've noticed other reviewers complaining about cash only policy. They have a NO FEE ATM. The credit card companies charge a lot more these days from vendors and I think it's great the salon reduces prices by 5%. Most places have increased their prices to cover the credit card costs. Like I said above I've been going for over two years and they did not increase their prices before offering the 5% discount. No, just no. I got acrylics a few days ago and they looked nice for a few days, when she was putting on the nails, they looked a little flimsy. So I figured that the acrylic gel stuff, or whatever the crap it is called, was going to make it thicker and help it stay a little bit longer. (And by the way, I went to a different salon to get acrylics one time in July, and they stayed for like a month) Anyways, I went to scratch my head and I felt my nail snap. I looked down at my nail and it broke off. And at Oasis nails, I paid about $45 dollars to get acrylic french tips (Super simple but whatever). At the other place I went to, it cost at the most, $30 dollars. But I paid around $25. They're nice people at Oasis nails, but the nails are crap. read more

I've been here a few times and up until today they've always been courteous. Today, they were neither courteous or gentle. First, I wasn't offered anything to drink, even though the Caucasian lady who walked in right after me was. I let this slide. Second, I left with a piece of missing skin to my right great toe from the tech scraping too hard! After I told her to stop, she wanted to keep going and I told her "NO!". She then went to put burning alcohol on it and I had to again tell her "to leave it be". Thirdly, upon doing my basic manicure, I told her I didn't need the hand and arm massage, and she rolled her eyes at me! wtf?! And lastly, I had to finally get my eyebrows waxed and she wasn't going to roll the protective paper that lays on the bed down. She wanted me to lay where there had been dirty foot prints and hair left from other patrons! She once again gave me a dirty look. She was very rough in adjusting my face and all she had to do was ask me to move my head in direction she needed. Oh yea, I forgot...after all of this she expected a tip!! wtf again?!
