This is a privately owned beach hotel so don't expect more than that. However, it is the cleanest one in town. I've stayed at them all. I also have never stayed here that I wasn't greeted with a smile and been treated like a king. All rooms have a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee service, generous cable TV, and Wi-Fi service. There is no air conditioning, but I've never needed it. It's a very short walk to the beach and near the center of town. It's definitely my first choice when visiting Ocean Shores. read more

Before I had to start a month of having to work on Sundays, JP and I decided to escape to the Washington Coast for a final weekend hurrah. And the gods were smiling benevolently, treating us to summertime sunshine and warmth even though the calendar claimed it was October. We paid $79 plus tax for our room at Oasis Motel, which we found on Yelp. Compared to other lodging in Ocean Shores, this is a very reasonable rate. Also, Oasis Motel is located conveniently within walking distance to shops and restaurants in very tiny Ocean Shores. It looks like this is a family-owned business and we could see them all bustin' their butts working around the property. Our room was clean, comfortable and roomy. It had a microwave and fridge. The TV had oodles of channels. The TV remote worked fine, that is, until Sunday morning when it ceased operation. We were going grrr dang it, but then realized the problem was that JP had draped a hoodie over the modem next to the TV, so the signal was not penetrating to the modem. When the hoodie was properly placed on a hanger, the TV worked fine once again. Oh, there is free Wi-Fi too. The colorful full-sized mural depicting a rustic Italian villa and courtyard was very cool. I do have to say the room did have a pungent musty scent when we first walked in. The motel was apparently aware of this and had stuck one of those Glade plug-ins into an outlet in the bathroom. I don't spend much time by the ocean (though I wish I did), but suspect mustiness is endemic to coastal buildings, because of the salt air and humidity. In any case, we quickly got used to the smell, and after a time, no longer noticed it. We bought a couple candles at the nearby grocery store to freshen the room, but that was really unnecessary. But to be clear, the musty scent is not a show-stopper and we would stay here again. You get a lot of value for your money at Oasis Motel. Check out is at 11:00, but the front desk was copacetic with extending our checkout time to noon. read more

Last night I stayed at the Oasis Motel in the hopes of missing the rain (I'd been camping for a week straight and camping in the rain didn't sound appealing... and it never ended up raining). I searched hotels in the Tacoma area as well as along the coastline, including Aberdeen. I was amazed to find this one for $69 a night--the cheapest amongst all the towns I searched. There was another one in Ocean Shores for $41, but the reviews steered me clear of that place. Checked out the reviews for Oasis on Yelp and Hotels.com and they were mostly amazing (with a few random complaints that seemed silly). When I showed up, I couldn't believe how close it was to the beach/the central hub of town. I checked in quickly and was set up in a queen room (#4) on the first floor. The doorknob was rusty and I started to get nervous. Then I opened up into the room. Wow. There's no way you could ever accuse the decor of being subpar here! The pirate mural on the wall takes hotel art to a whole new level. There's a massive amount of space in the room (especially for just one person) with a comfortable leather couch to lounge on and a wide coffee table (which held all my stuff as I organized it into boxes for the fam!). Plenty of lighting throughout the room, and everything was spotless. The TV is huge and comes with cable; the WiFi is quick. I had a great night sleep. It's a spring mattress, which I'm usually not a huge fan of, but it was firm without being uncomfortable, and I was happy to sprawl out. Only thing that bugged me was the fridge seems possessed -- it was making weird sounds (not normal fridge noises) throughout the night. Maybe it was the baseboard heat? I don't know - but at 3 a.m. there was a lot of noise coming from that area and it actually woke me up. Walls are not super thin-- I was able to hear some doors closing from down the way, but overall didn't have trouble with that (no conversations or the like). Water pressure in the shower was awesome, and the hot water lasted the entire length of my very long shower (it's been a minute since I had one and I was starting to smell like straight backwoods!). Parking is somewhat limited, but I only had my car (if everyone staying here had 2 cars, it'd be really tight) and it was a Monday night, so I didn't have to compete for a space directly in front of my room. I am honestly still so excited I got to sleep next to a pirate ship haha. If it was $10 cheaper (like I read it used to be), I'd be over the mooooon with this place. read more

Doesn't get any better than this for $69/night. Our room was bigger than we anticipated, with an amazing couch and the highest ceiling I've ever seen in a motel room. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. We arrived unexpectedly late the night we stayed and the staff were very accommodating and made sure we received our key and got into our room, even staying extra late for us. My only regret is that I wish we could have stayed longer. We would come back in a heartbeat! (we could have also used some more pillows but that is a minor complaint) read more

The tv isn't very good quality the colors were very saturated but we were grateful for a clean room and tv. The people at the front aren't there at check out for some reason so we couldn't turn our keys in person. But other than that it was pretty nice. I appreciate the cleanliness. They have wood floors, NOT carpet!! I wish all hotels and inns would change to wood floors! They have bagged their box spring but ours was ripped and torn so I hope they change that out! Room #12. I love the oasis. Every room is different. The fine line between elegance and obsessive desert-themed Eurokitsch is explored here. This is a hotel for adults...no pool, maybe no breakfast, I don't remember. Staff has always been cordial, rooms are clean. It is not adjacent the ocean but a great home base just across the street from the Oceanside strip. Rates are reasonable. Nice family run small place. Good vibes. The back rooms overlook the golf course, which I have found quite peaceful. A welcome low key boutique change-up from the dominant vapid commerciality in Ocean Shores. I have probably stayed there about 4 or 5 times. In general, my go-to in Shores. read more

This place after being here for 10 minutes immediately became our place mine and my young families this was our six-year-old son's first real vacation we were driving through Ocean Shores just trying to find an affordable motel when we decided to pop in here expecting it to be outside of our price range we were pleasantly surprised with incredibly low rates. Our room we entered room number 11 to a long Corredor leading into our room with a beautiful ocean Miral on the wall huge flatscreen TV I lovely leather couch kitchenette area hardwood floors the bathroom has been so beautifully restored with incredible attention to detail with lovely marble and granite tiles good water pressure blow dryer everything you need and that's just nothing in compared to the rest of the room the feng shui is so warm and welcoming black out curtains allow you to get a peaceful restIt's incredibly quiet no loud neighbors no stamping just perfect serenity. When you take that in with the fact that the owners are just the warmest and sweetest people you can tell that they have taken pride in creating a beautiful little "oasis" at an affordable price on the ocean gift shops and super yummy pizza right next-door. ( shout out to dugans pizza "best since 1982" right next door w arcade and the most incredible pizza we've ever had!)....The owners are so friendly and so kind we just can't imagine ever staying anywhere else ever even if weWanted to stay in a five-star hotel we just can't resist our personal oasis. The best part there is a red light panel stretching across the ceiling over the Miral leaving the room with a sexy red glow that immediately relaxes you. We're here with her son this week but me and my husband can't wait to come back for a Mommy daddy weekend. My husband is a very big critic when it comes to pests and filth.He came in and looked around and immediately gave it his approval. Which is so hard to get, but he was completely satisfied w how clean it was. The mattresses are brand new and I don't imagine the couch is very old either so clearly they circulate new furniture often. They take pride in this hotel and treat it as if it was their home it's so obvious that they want you to have the most warm and welcoming experience and you really really do. And one last thing their mascot the cutest little baby kitten that they were kind enough to share with us and let us snuggle as we were missing our for babies. Clean and comfy, very good price. I'd definitely stay here again. Found this place thanks to fellow Yelpers. No carpeting, and it had a pleather loveseat, making the room easier on my dust allergies than many places. Super clean, no offensive or distracting odors. Heat worked great in the chilly morning. It had a fridge, microwave and a little coffee maker in the room. It was pretty quiet, but I was here on a Monday, so probably to be expected. I had room 11, which had a window facing a field in the back. Nice sunrise streaming in. It's an older building, with some old fixtures (pink sink, toilet and tub!), but it's been updated and it's cute. The wall mural in my room was a nice lighthouse scene. There was a pirate statue and a baby grand piano in the lobby, kind of fun. No pets allowed; I think other places said it was pet-friendly, so be aware. read more

Great for the price!! This is a nice little mom and pop motel. About a block from the beach. It's clean, quiet, and friendly. There are nice touches in the room, including a loveseat, a "stone" wall in bathroom, microwave, fridge. They have different types of rooms, and when I called to ask about the room, they were more than happy to answer my questions. The motel is better than the pictures on their website! The owners are polite and helpful. IT IS PET FRIENDLY! There is also a great open field right behind the motel, so it's easy to take the dog out. read more

This is an extremely comfortable well kept up little motel. It's walking distance to everything. While it's not on the beach it's priced at about half the cost. It's not a resort or hotel but it is very clean and comfortable. The only negatives were that the front desk seemed bothered by me asking questions about the area (I'd never been to ocean shores) and the couch in the room was pretty worn out. Never ever ever stay here hotel staff are very unprofessional. We paid an extra one hundred dollers for two rooms to have a late check out. They kicked us out at eleven in the morning and as we were leaving the staff called us some very rude names that I can not post on here. We paid a lot of money for our wedding party to stay here and we were treated like dogs. If what your looking for is bad service this place is for you. read more

Really nice, low-key place. The staff/owners were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean. Quiet too. I did not hear another person during our one-night stay, even though when checking out it was obvious people were on either side of us. Great for families. From the room types we chose a suite arrangement with a separate room for us and the kids each had their own bed in the other room. I really enjoyed the decor and agree with the other reviewer that it is better than the pictures on the website. In the morning I walked down the street and got scones for breakfast from the bakery. Great place, with only a few caveats. There was no liner in the shower, and the bathroom amenities were sparse, but other than that it was cool! Located right across the street from the beach, right next door to a nice breakfast place, this place is clean, and the staff is friendly. The red lights in the ceiling edge, and the sweet tropical beach wall picture surrounded by wood panel sealed the deal for me, and the comfortable bed and HBO suited the wife. Place is getting rundown and less hospitable. Room looked like it was falling apart the last time we went. Fridge barely worked, shower had no pressure, half a roll of tp.... Now they changed the policy where no dogs allowed as well. They will lose a ton a clientele with this new policy. Plus it had a couch, fridge and microwave. Cons- bathroom was really small and the shower was almost too small. And the room was stuffy. I was a little afraid of the low price when we first booked it because usually you get what you pay for, but the room was surprisingly nice. We lucked out and got one of the big gable roof rooms, which angle up to what seemed like almost twenty feet, with an enormous picture of a palm tree on the wall. A little surreal, but in a totally charming way. We also had a big comfy sectional leather couch, which was a bonus. Some of the small stuff is obviously cheap - the bar of soap in the shower immediately dwindled down to a scratchy sliver and the in-room coffee sort of sucked - but that's to be expected at places like this and doesn't really matter. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though like other reviews say they don't offer 24 hour service and do close at ten. Overall it was totally cute and nice, and we were kinda bummed that we'd only booked one night. read more

My wife and I just had the pleasure of staying at the Oasis Motel in Ocean Shores Washington. The room was great! Very comfortable and in great condition. The rates are very good and frankly for the cost of the room my expectations were not that high. Those expectations were far exceeded and I can't say enough good about this place. The staff ( I am assuming they were the owners ) were fantastic. It was a little warm in our upstairs room the first day so we went over to the hardware store and bought a very small fan. The little fan helped the next night but was not really big enough to conquer the heat entirely. When we came back to our room the third night the staff had placed a nice large fan in the room and had it running and the room was very cool and comfortable. I did not say anything to them about the heat but they must have noticed the small fan and place the large fan on their own. I know it is a small thing but it is those small things that make a nice stay a great stay. We will be back to the Oasis Motel! read more

My boyfriend and I found the Oasis Motel to the best motel in the area. Aside from it's awesome price, the room was cozy, well decorated and clean. They must also either have great soundproofing or our neighbors were super quiet. This is hands down the best motel in Ocean Shores. I am not going to bother looking for another motel on my next visit. These guys have already earned our loyalty. In case anybody was wondering, they do have a blow dryer and complimentary toiletries. There was also free coffee in the lobby and a coffee maker with single-use packs in the room. The price for this beautiful room was unbeatable, $49 a night! Exceeded our expectations by a long shot. I have easily paid $69+ for horrible chain and family owned motel rooms in the past, but this motel room was PERFECT. The room was well adorned with an awesome sea-inspired mural on the wall. The decor was charming and befitting (there was even a nice love-seat and a flatscreen TV with cable). I have seen reviewers from other sites call the rooms outdated in decor. I am not sure if it is fair to the owners for people to make fun of the decor as if it has anything to do with the practicality of the rooms themselves. If you don't like the murals and decor, get over it. It is not your house, and everybody's taste is different. It is a small price to pay for excellent service and a clean, well maintained room. I found the owners to be a quiet and accommodating couple. The only concern I had was that when I booked the room, I was under the impression that they had 24/7 service (because that's stated on their website). This was an important factor because we had to wait to get off of work and then proceed to drive from Seattle over to the coast, so we were planning on arriving there later into the evening. However, around 10pm we received a call from the motel asking if we were still coming, because they were planning on closing soon. I am perfectly OK with this, and they did stay up to wait us out. I just wanted to point out that the hours of operation may vary based on business and whatnot. All in all, I loved this place and the owners were great. 10 out of 10, we will be back again! I agree with Cindy!! Very CLEAN!!! I think it the best kept secret in the area. Rooms for under $50 all year around! It has everything most motels have at TWICE the cost. And there is a Subway Sandwich Shop, Pizza place and Burger shop right next door! Free Wi-Fi and the library is only a short walk with Internet computers for $1 for 2 hours for out of towners. I have stayed at Ocean Shores many times over the years. Usually, at our lot or the Canterbury Inn. This was the first time at the Oasis and certainly not the last. The price was right and the location was nice. The room was large and clean. As another poster mentioned I too was nervous due to the reasonable rate, but there was nothing to worry about - it was all good. This will be where I stay in the future for the up coming clam digs. I would go back just to hear the beautiful accent of the gal behind the desk. I assume it was the owners at the office who were both very nice. read more
