So first of all , they changed our rooms 3 different fxcking times , 1st room was not the correct room we reserved ... second room had pee stains and other stains on bed sheets . And also did not have the pull out couch we requested.. we were hoping 3rd times a charm but we showed up to the third room ... the deadbolt WOULD NOT LOCK THE WAS A GAP IN THE DOOR AND YOU COULD SEE THE HALLWAY LIGHTS THROUGH THE DOOR , the fridge was on but not working and overheating creating aFIRE HAZARD. Which I mean is not surprising as they had a fire earlier this year. Not to mention the pull out for my children had a two by two foot pee stay and a big blood stain up by the head part their accommodation was to give us an extra sheet and blanket to cover it . !!! Pool was murky and looked like it had not been cleaned for awhile !!! Upon check out we expressed our concerns and were met with the "manager" telling us pretty much to fuck off and they were NOT GOING TO DO A DAMN THING ABOUT IT !!! WE WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD ! Room numbers are 116, 208 , and the last with nasty ass mattress and fire hazard fridge and non working lock was 218 for confirmation!

They have a full breakfast with a decent selection. The coffee is not good, but there are quite a few decent drive through coffee stands that are very close by. We stayed in 3 different rooms. We reserved a junior suite. It had bedbug markings (I did not see the actual bugs) & the room was dirty. They moved us to the king suite, which was very nice of them. It was HUGE! It was dusty and had blood stains on the shower curtain and bathroom walls. The toilet had rust by the pipe and it was definitely worn out. We could only stay one night in this room because we only paid for the junior suite, so that's what they moved us back to. The junior suite had 2 queen beds. No bugs, just hair in between the sheets and the mattresses were very stained. The walls had finger prints and door knobs were sticky. The heater/air conditioner did not work. We stayed 2 nights in this room. They are in the process of remodeling the entire building. The areas that have been remodeled looks amazing! I'm hopeful that this remodel is what they need to make this hotel a clean & comfortable place to stay.

For the price, this hotel is a perfect family spot for enjoying ocean shores and also a fun hotel with indoor pool for the kiddos. Came here with my family and a bunch of nephews. Booked a junior suite and a double queen room to accommodate everyone. The suites are spacious and rooms are clean. The pools was open till 11 and lots of fun for kids. Easy walk to ocean and right across street from pizza place for added convenience. Where these folks excel is in their amazing complimentary breakfast buffet and their super friendly/accommodating staff. Hot breakfast including all the hotel favorites (waffle, eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels, toast, English muffins, fruit, yogurt, hot & cold cereal juice and of course coffee). Kids can go crazy here and the staff even helped us clean up a little accident in the dining area. They gave us late checkout for both rooms. We will definitely come back here next time we're in ocean shores.

We have stayed here a few times. The remodel is very nice! The lobby looks great. The elevator needs some fixing its a bit wonky. Rooms are nice, its nice that they have ac. But a fan would of been nice aswell. We had a beautiful view of the beach but the windows are so dirty w bird poop you didnt have a clear view. And the windows dont have screens, pretty alarming if you are hot in the room & have children. The jetted tub was nice but the towels are awful. Very rough, thin and so small. There was also sugar ants in the kitchen area. All in all its a nice place!

This is the armoire! You see it's broken & not to mention the tv inside doesn't work it stays on no signal.

When I tell you how highly DISAPPOINTED I am in this place, that's an understatement! These pics are from room 320 the Deluxe Suite with Ocean View, this is a serious joke I promise you I'm not exaggerating. The presentation from the entrance is nice and once you get to your room it's like entering The Twilight Zone! These are pics I took on 05.21.2021 as you can see. I DON'T recommend anyone waste their money in booking room 320, you will not be satisfied. How dare they even charge the rates they do for this room. I wish I could of gave it no stars! For $245 a night WHAT A DAMN JOKE!! This place need a major overhaul!!

    No bath towel!!

I used to love this place that's why we come back every year. This year is different: got the room the bathroom have wet towels on the floor, no bath towels at all. Bed needs some support and I have to watch myself overnight not to hit the wood that is supporting the bed. I asked for bath towels and the front desk made excuses. She's alone and will be right with us right away. Then, I went down to get the batch towels. More excuses. Looks like to me the housekeeping people just got up and left. Then, I discovered we are not alone. The door next to me and across me the same thing. I went back to the room but I was irritated. Every is not right with the room and the lady at the front desk keeps making excuses. Went downstairs again but she's going up she said getting me the towels. But she gave the guy the pool towels the shut the door to me. I stood outside the door very irritated. Then the lady said get the towel from the pool. She's not getting you and bath towels. You can be there for awhile. I ran to the pool and grab 3 towels. Then, she gave out of the room very rudely gave me the towel. It's not my fault that she's alone and everybody needs bath towel. I wanted to leave but my other half said it's late and let's check out tomorrow. He will drive home. This is VACATION from hell.

    Signs, signs, everywhere are signs

The good: The Room had was quite large. It had 2 TV's, a mini bar with fridge. The linens were clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The bad: Signs, signs, everywhere are signs. Paper signs are in the elevator, walls, rooms, even in the shower! (see pics). The TV's only had 30 channels of non-HD quality stretched to fit the screen. The ugly: This is possibly the most run down hotel I've ever stayed at. Its literally being held together with tape. I saw electrical tape, scotch tape, masking tape, duct tape holding everything together. Even the wallpaper in my room was stuck on with masking tape. There were also stains on the sofa and the carpet. The pool was downright frightening. Part of the pool tile has been covered over with bathroom tile making it very slick. I watched 2 children slip and fall on this. Luckily there were no injuries. This is the only place I've ever seen that allows children in the hot tub. There was even a baby in it!

We loved this hotel and will be back for sure! The service was top notch, the room was immaculate, and the hot breakfast was plentiful and really good. The owners take special care of their guests, greeting each as if they have known you for years. They keep the hotel running smoothly, the prices were reasonable, and everything was as clean as could be. We had a room on the second floor, very quiet, comfortable beds (a bit too soft for my daughter but I loved it), linens were very nice and clean, we asked for extra towels, cups and soap and got plenty. We even had a slice of a view of the ocean. Parking was a little tight at night but plenty of space outside the hotel near the street. Very close to restaurants, gift shops and all Ocean Shores has to offer at half the price of the resort/casino with none of the smoke! Great stay!

Ocean view??? Both windows in room very dirty..
    Peggy L.

Nice staff, they were short staffed, check in was late, no big deal. The windows in the 3rd floor ocean view deluxe suite were filthy. So not a great ocean view. The old Morning glory signs just dumped behind hotel so nice view. Also only 1 exit weird. Not worth $300 a night. Won't be back.

Dirty furniture. Another chair was covered in crumbs.

And the gods were smiling benevolently, treating us to summertime sunshine and warmth even though the calendar claimed it was October. We paid $79 plus tax for our room at Oasis Motel, which we found on Yelp. Compared to other lodging in Ocean Shores, this is a very reasonable rate. Also, Oasis Motel is located conveniently within walking distance to shops and restaurants in very tiny Ocean Shores. It looks like this is a family-owned business and we could see them all bustin' their butts working around the property. Our room was clean, comfortable and roomy. It had a microwave and fridge. The TV had oodles of channels. The TV remote worked fine, that is, until Sunday morning when it ceased operation. We were going grrr dang it, but then realized the problem was that JP had draped a hoodie over the modem next to the TV, so the signal was not penetrating to the modem. When the hoodie was properly placed on a hanger, the TV worked fine once again. Oh, there is free Wi-Fi too. The colorful full-sized mural depicting a rustic Italian villa and courtyard was very cool. I do have to say the room did have a pungent musty scent when we first walked in. The motel was apparently aware of this and had stuck one of those Glade plug-ins into an outlet in the bathroom. I don't spend much time by the ocean (though I wish I did), but suspect mustiness is endemic to coastal buildings, because of the salt air and humidity. In any case, we quickly got used to the smell, and after a time, no longer noticed it. We bought a couple candles at the nearby grocery store to freshen the room, but that was really unnecessary. But to be clear, the musty scent is not a show-stopper and we would stay here again. You get a lot of value for your money at Oasis Motel. Check out is at 11:00, but the front desk was copacetic with extending our checkout time to noon.

The atmosphere had a subtle coziness, but the Airbnb photos made it look much more updated, renovated, and inviting than it actually was. When we arrived, it was clear the chalet was dated. For the price per night, we expected more. Right away we noticed cobwebs on the walls and ceilings, heavy dust throughout, and even dust bunnies under the main bed. The fridge was also incredibly loud--sounding like a jet engine switching on and off all night. Other issues stood out: * Towels were limited, and the ones provided had hair in them. * The bathroom faucet's water pressure sprayed everywhere, forcing us to use our already-limited towels just to clean up. * The blinds couldn't be pulled open because of old, crusted bird droppings on the outside. We understand this is the ocean, but these clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. * The mattresses were by far the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on--making it difficult to get any real rest. What made things more frustrating was their very strict check-in and check-out policy, which they explained was due to their cleaning crew's schedule. Normally, that would make sense, but given the lack of cleanliness we experienced, it made their "no exceptions" stance confusing. That being said, I did appreciate a few things. They were upfront in the listing about the steps leading up to the second floor, and they weren't exaggerating--they really are steep, so it was good to know ahead of time. I also appreciated some of the amenities inside the chalet, which made parts of the stay more comfortable. The chalet itself has good bones and could be a great place with better upkeep--thorough cleaning, fresher linens, updated mattresses, and a little extra care inside and out. As it stands, though, it doesn't live up to its price point. I'd be hesitant to recommend this spot without those updates and at this point would suggest checking out other options in Ocean Shores first.

Pacific Sunrise Inn & Suites seemed like a great spot and was offering a great deal for a weekend that worked for us. At the front desk, they do have some chocolate mints for humans and milk bone treats for pets to enjoy. They do have a pet fee per pet but it was fair pricing as they have a pretty simple pet policy. I also appreciate that they are a completely non-smoking spot. The staff there were very professional and pleasant to speak with and they were more than happy to ensure our stay went perfectly. As we entered our room, we were content with the cleanliness of our room and the different amenities. The TV was a little strange to use but after we figured it out, there was no issues. It's a known problem!" The jets on the hot tub also didn't work, so we were just sitting in a bath tub basically. There's a Keurig in the room, but you only get one coffee pod to share. I went to ask for another tiny bar of soap since we used ours up, but they were out. They were also out of shampoo, so we had to use the shower gel for everything. The shower curtain is hung so that it barely touches the top of the tub, so water runs all over the floor when you shower. You can tell this has been an ongoing problem because the door jam is completely rusted. When I went to ask for more towels do soak up all the water on the floor, there were two other guests complaining about the same issue in their rooms. Seems like that would be an easy enough fix that could save some major repairs later..... The cherry on top was finding someone's vape pen in my bed.!!!! Hoping it belonged to the housekeeper who changed my sheets?! It was between the comforter & the duvet so that's what I'm telling myself..... that was a first for me.

First time staying at an Inn/AirBNB type place. At first, it felt strange to let ourselves into this big beautiful house and to be the only ones there. Especially with how well they took care of us for our anniversary. Every little detail was thought out and taken care of. The lady who was working there while we were there could not have been better. Super nice and attentive. WE LOVED THE COLLINS. I have been going to Ocean Shores my entire life but always stayed on the main hotel strip. The Collins is on the backside of Ocean Shores and very secluded from the tourist-y parts of the town. The house is gorgeous. A huge house with so many different things in it to do right across the street from the beach. The Collins has that beautiful, awesome Ocean Shores beach aesthetic while also being a very upscale, beautiful inn. My favorite thing about The Collins [aside from the hot tub] is just how well thought out everything is. From the all day snacks and breakfast. To every little touch they add. The people who created and run The Collins are obviously big fans of this type of Inn and really worked hard to create their ultimate image of it. And you can feel that in every little detail of The Collins experience. We also liked the french toast, Starbucks egg bites and all of the things they give you for breakfast here. The pastries were my favorite but we liked everything. We were also incredibly impressed at our room fridge having some nice juice and snacky type options. The better half and I loved this experience. We had such a nice time here. The hot tub, the wine, the chocolates, the kick ass shower, the nice breakfast and snacks. If you're looking for a great experience with your special person, it's hard to think of a better option than The Collins. I've stayed in pretty much every hotel in Ocean Shores and The Collins is definitely at the top of the list if you want a nice, beautiful, relaxing, memorable experience for you and your special person.
