The owners found a 70s-80s fabulous property and are making it something. The hotel is retro but the rooms are modern. There is a common ares facing all rooms and that is what makes this place great. Our visit, people staying were a tiny community. Having fun, sharing and enjoying the setting. The hotel second floor has peek-a-boo views of the bay and a gorgeous view of the lake. A private and public dock are on or adjacent to property. The owners are gracious with amenities and gave up a personal grill to a client during our stay so they could have dinner. What makes this place stand out is service. The staff was amazing and kind. Towels, no problem. Pillows- have more. This is what an independent property should feel like. If you're looking for on the waves beach, this isn't your property. If you're looking for close to the jetty which isn't as populated, and willing to drive to restaurants- book here. It was worth the distance to have a lovely experience where everyone was genuinely having fun.

They have remodeled the insides of the rooms beautifully, it really feels cozy like your at home. The staff/ owners are warm, welcoming and friendly people. Even their kids were more than happy to help me out when I needed a few things. Very well behaved and adorable :) The price was more than reasonable and the location was great! First time staying at an Inn/AirBNB type place. At first, it felt strange to let ourselves into this big beautiful house and to be the only ones there. But the better half grew up going to Inns and Bed and Breakfast type places and she was all in. NICE. That is the main word I would use to sum up The Collins. Especially with how well they took care of us for our anniversary. Every little detail was thought out and taken care of. The lady who was working there while we were there could not have been better. Super nice and attentive. WE LOVED THE COLLINS. I have been going to Ocean Shores my entire life but always stayed on the main hotel strip. The Collins is on the backside of Ocean Shores and very secluded from the tourist-y parts of the town. The house is gorgeous. A huge house with so many different things in it to do right across the street from the beach. The Collins has that beautiful, awesome Ocean Shores beach aesthetic while also being a very upscale, beautiful inn. My favorite thing about The Collins [aside from the hot tub] is just how well thought out everything is. From the all day snacks and breakfast. To every little touch they add. The people who created and run The Collins are obviously big fans of this type of Inn and really worked hard to create their ultimate image of it. And you can feel that in every little detail of The Collins experience. We also liked the french toast, Starbucks egg bites and all of the things they give you for breakfast here. The pastries were my favorite but we liked everything. We were also incredibly impressed at our room fridge having some nice juice and snacky type options. The better half and I loved this experience. We had such a nice time here. The hot tub, the wine, the chocolates, the kick ass shower, the nice breakfast and snacks. If you're looking for a great experience with your special person, it's hard to think of a better option than The Collins. I've stayed in pretty much every hotel in Ocean Shores and The Collins is definitely at the top of the list if you want a nice, beautiful, relaxing, memorable experience for you and your special person.

Recently restored building on the town's Main Street, it's the cutest place. I've spent many weekends on the Pacific side of the State this year and have tried area vacation rentals, none as satisfying as this. Yes, there is more space in home rentals, but if you're a party of one or two, I think you'll enjoy the in-room amenities here including mini kitchen, large bath, cable and comfortable bed. Watch for the future wine bar under construction on first floor. The barber shop is already up and running too. Splurging here means $100 a night. There are other rooms for less. I have a huge desire for two strips of beachfront here and if you're smart about it, you'll start visiting Pacific Beach now. This previously neglected community is about to take an upswing. It's Washington State's Cuba. :)

We stayed in the cabin room and it had a fireplace and a partial view of the ocean. But the best part was the restaurant. The food, wine and service was amazing! We tried the flight of red wine and found one we really liked so we got a bottle. The menu changes with the season and what we had was so good. I highly recommend a stay here. Next time I'll stay on the top floor of the resort.

The only thing I don't care for is there are no hooks of any sort to hang your clothes on in the whole room. Especially, in the bathroom where personally an under the sink cubbie for the hotel robe doesn't cut it. The only 2 rods to hang things on are the towel rack in with the tub & toilet area, and the closet out in the main room. Very inconvenient. The outer portion of bathroom where the sink is, only has the cubbie. Initially that is filled with towels & bathrobes. The lack of a towel rack near the sink seems to be a growing trend at motels. What's with that? Otherwise, so far I've enjoy the in room Keurig coffee service and I'm impressed by the room's addition of wine glasses to the clear coffee cups & water glasses. The downside is the cups are a small 8 oz and I had to cycle twice for a decent amount of coffee. View great! Not sure the rest is worth it.

The historic "colonial revival" home was built in 1905 and it was a delight to stay here. This inn is the only Bed & Breakfast on Washington's central coast area. Nice to see that the inn survived the pandemic.

I was pleasantly surprised to have found this B&B and quickly booked the Canterbury room. It was clean, cozy and spacious. The bathroom was large and it had a lot of counter space for makeup and toiletries. The Aberdeen weather in March is pretty cold, but it was nice to return to a nice cozy and warm room in the evenings after spending the day with family. Breakfast was amazing! Billy, Cindy's son, is a great cook and very hospitable just like her. I returned to Las Vegas and missed eating my breakfasts overlooking the harbor and the beautiful Broadway Hill neighborhood. We also enjoyed great conversations a couple of days with a Doctor whom we met there. It was a great visit/vacation to my husband's hometown. Thank you Cindy and Billy for your hospitality! We had the Hawaiian Villa, which was cute. It does come with cute decor and almost everything you would need (dishes, cups, utensils, cooking gear, towels, even body wash and shampoo). My only real complaint was a funky, smoky smell that I could not get rid of, I tried febreeze, opening windows, nothing worked. The units are non-smoking, so I don't know if it was from nearby fire pits or what. Also, the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan (again, older building, probably a good 50-60 years old) and it is downstairs. So, if you are vacationing with several other people, leaving the bathroom door open isn't probably an option. But, considering you can hear the ocean from your unit, and are literally walking distance to the beach ( and we scheduled this trip, in July, two weeks prior to going, and usually you have to book a year in advance for Ocean Shores) and the price was VERY reasonable, and their customer service was great to deal with, those few issues were minor. So, for the price and location, yes I recommend. It's not a 5 star resort, but a cozy little retreat for a beach get away.

In any way, this is still a great visit imo. My Titas drive up here to let us experience flying kites before summer ends in PNW. We didn't really stroll or checked that heart of its town as we drive directly to their infamous beach where you can drive on the sand. It's like a free way with no specific policy on what direction you gonna drive. Came here around lunch time and here I am having so much fun with family and bandit flying kites. It's been a while since I last time do this activity. It's nice that even when I am an adult I am still able to have time to do this activity. As I aforementioned I have mixed emotion because people just wanna have fun chillin' but not totally defining its definition as a lot of people are zooming around with their truck, bikes and jeep. It's a bit scary but no law doesn't allowed you to drive on the shore. The environmental impact is high and I think they should limit the time to get there driving around. Even if the sun is shining bright above, it's still chilly and will give you colds. It's smart to bring jacket with you if you plan to stay here longer for picnic. The saltwater is cold and nobody wants to dive to swim here. Plus the water is rough and several accidents happened here coz they were caught in the riptide. Be extra cautious! You can drive on the beach! We car camped overnight, I'm…read morenot sure if you're allowed to, but I camped here in a tent a few years back when everyone does it for 4th of July so I came back. Everything went fine! There's ample space but people will totally park near you and the beach gets pretty busy in the day time anyway so expect visitors. We stayed here two days and the first day was a little overcsast but it's beautiful. Second day it was sunny with a nice breeze and a group set up multiple large kites. I don't know if this is a club or something but sign me up! They had impressive kites, and their skills were pretty cool. Scuba divers, butterflies, hearts, squid and so many more. We also brought along our two dogs and a sign in front says dogs must be on leash. People still let their friendly dogs off leash around their cars and around them when exploring around the water. We did watch an eagle successfully hunting other birds, definitely like a scene out of animal planet and after that we kept our mini poodle close! For the most part walking around everyone respects leash and scooping rules. I will say though people need to do better at cleaning up their trash. There is a lot of trash being buried around the beach and the back grassy hill is used as a bathroom so there's lots of toilet paper making it a landmine of grossness.
