You can tell how much the owners care about each person's stay by the attention to those fine details such as the high-tech dog wash, excellent bathhouse, the flowers, the bird feeders, and houses throughout. The camp hosts are all wonderful you can tell they want each person to enjoy their stay and go above and beyond.

We could cook, walk 10 minutes to the boardwalk, walk 2 minutes to sit on the rocks and smoke a cigar and even step outside and watch the marina. I loved staying here and will be back again. After driving 3 plus hrs, when we tried to check in we were informed by their off site management company, By the Sea, that regardless of our written confirmation we had no reservation or room. Furthermore, Laura, told us, tho off season mid week, and no cars in the parking lot there were no other rooms available. I have never met a more abrasive, unhelpful, hostile person as Laura who hung up on me when I told her that our credit card had been charged for the 3 night stay. With no recourse and no one on site with whom we could talk with to straighten out this mess we had no alternative but to leave. Fortunately a brilliant motel, Moonstone Beach motel was a few blocks away, had an incredibly a helpful front desk clerk, Kate, who wiped my tears and checked us into a beautiful room with similar amenities for less money. My advice, beware of "By the Sea" management company, as it appears our situation is not unique and has had happened multiple times. So forget staying at High Tide and stop a few blocks earlier and stay at the Moonstone Beach Motel. They have wonderful on site management team. The atmosphere had a subtle coziness, but the Airbnb photos made it look much more updated, renovated, and inviting than it actually was. When we arrived, it was clear the chalet was dated. For the price per night, we expected more. Right away we noticed cobwebs on the walls and ceilings, heavy dust throughout, and even dust bunnies under the main bed. The fridge was also incredibly loud--sounding like a jet engine switching on and off all night. Other issues stood out: * Towels were limited, and the ones provided had hair in them. * The bathroom faucet's water pressure sprayed everywhere, forcing us to use our already-limited towels just to clean up. * The blinds couldn't be pulled open because of old, crusted bird droppings on the outside. We understand this is the ocean, but these clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. * The mattresses were by far the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on--making it difficult to get any real rest. What made things more frustrating was their very strict check-in and check-out policy, which they explained was due to their cleaning crew's schedule. Normally, that would make sense, but given the lack of cleanliness we experienced, it made their "no exceptions" stance confusing. That being said, I did appreciate a few things. They were upfront in the listing about the steps leading up to the second floor, and they weren't exaggerating--they really are steep, so it was good to know ahead of time. I also appreciated some of the amenities inside the chalet, which made parts of the stay more comfortable. The chalet itself has good bones and could be a great place with better upkeep--thorough cleaning, fresher linens, updated mattresses, and a little extra care inside and out. As it stands, though, it doesn't live up to its price point. I'd be hesitant to recommend this spot without those updates and at this point would suggest checking out other options in Ocean Shores first.

There offer many homes to rent out as well! Our house was had a beach theme and we couldn't be more happy. There were three rooms ( king, queen, and four bunk beds), hot tub, and fire pit! The house was fully furnished for every use. We loved having the option to cool or dine. I love how quiet the neighborhood was. No one bothered us... we bothered no one. It was GREAT. Only downfall was that we showed up to the house with bags of trash that seem to have been forgotten and raccoons got to it. But josh who was on night duty helped us clean it out. He was very nice. Check in and checking out was easy. We didn't have to talk or see no one because a code to the door was provided. Instructions for the home was sent couple days prior to arrival. As much as I love this place I wouldn't be able to stay here as often as we'd like due to the fact that it's very expensive to stay here. So this is a treat if we ever get to do this again. I recommend trying this place out if you haven't already. Even if you just come down for a day trip. It is on the way towards ocean shore so if you can't find anything to do in town you can always head down that way.

I specifically used Seabrook's website filters to search for homes that were available on our dates and included a hot tub. When we checked in today, we were surprised to find there wasn't one. I immediately called Guest Services, expecting they would help resolve what appeared to be a booking or website error. Instead, I was essentially blamed for the mistake. I explained exactly how I had searched for the property, but the representative, who identified himself as Tylor, said that without proof there was nothing he could do. I work in marketing and sales, so I understand that websites and booking systems can occasionally have errors. What disappointed me most wasn't the mistake--it was the complete lack of effort to make it right. When guests are paying premium prices, customer service should focus on finding a solution, not assigning blame. To make matters worse, Tylor told me there were no other homes available with hot tubs, so moving us wasn't an option. Out of curiosity, I checked Seabrook's website myself while on the phone and found several available homes that listed hot tubs. Whether that was another website error or inaccurate information from Guest Services, I don't know. Either way, it only added to the frustration. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that Tylor was the supervisor. We've always enjoyed Seabrook, but this experience completely changed our perception. Mistakes happen. Great customer service is measured by how a company responds when they do. Unfortunately, Seabrook failed us on both the booking experience and the customer service, and they've lost our family's business.

Everything in Ocean Shores is. The price was right for a huge condo, so we went for it. The condo featured a big kitchen that I was able to cook a full dinner in, a large living room with a television, and a huge wrap around deck with views of the water. We also had a bathroom with a full tub and a bedroom with two queen beds. The hotel also has a hot tub and pool. The pool isn't huge but the kids had a great time. They have a movie library where you can check out movies for your room which was appreciated since we couldn't figure out the cable whatsoever. Minor complaints: the cable as mentioned, the beds weren't super comfy, and the kitchen equipment was not in the best condition. That said, we made it all work. We'll definitely return!

There are 8 of them in the lot but each one is its own entity. I stayed at one of them for 3 days and 2 nights and had a really good time! The place is clean and spacious with high ceilings and can comfortably house a couple + pets. There is a pet fee and no smoking is allowed on the premises. The place had all the amenities you could need for a little getaway including a: WiFi, decently stocked kitchen, fridge, stove, oven, cable/smart TV, board games, small washer, little private patio, and one parking spot. You can easily move things around the place, I did a ton of yoga in the living room. I loved that I didn't really need to drive anywhere and could just walk everywhere. Check in is super easy and there is a lockbox for you to access your keys. As mentioned in other reviews, the stairs here are super steep and you have to use them to get to the bed. Definitely a hazard if you're not careful and trip. Overall I really enjoyed this little cottage and would recommend it for a couples getaway or a solo retreat!
