I like this spa. It's very professional and the environment is very chill, a real effort is made to help you feel relaxed and getting away from it all. I've been here several times for massages and have always had a great massage, and so have the family members who have had the service too. I've also had a pedicure and manicure here and that was great too. The staff is very skilled nice and the front office staff nice and goes out of there way to be helpful. You do need to book in advance as they book right up. The prices are not the cheapest, but they are also not the most expensive, and I think they offer a good value. This place is truly an Oasis. Tucked in a plaza/strip mall, it looks unassuming and small. Once you step in, it is as though you have been transported to a different world. I had a fabulous facial with Aida, as did "S," and it was easy to doze off. My massage with D did not feel good. It felt clumsy, and I could not relax. "S" loved the masseuse and said the 90min session was well worth it. We had booked a half-day session which included: facials, massages, a Mani/Pedi, and lunch. Interestingly, even though the online system allows you to pick a day, it is best to call to confirm because we couldn't get the package we wanted. The receptionist did work with us to see what services would be available on the day we wanted, and everything but the man/Pedi was accommodated. My first experience at this spa was phenomenal , so I used it again for a waxing. The technician who waxed my bikini line was awful. She pulled against and not in the direction the hair was growing. The first strip was horizontal across my pubic area. I brought this to her attention and she told me that was how it was done. She didn't wax it entirely. It was a god awful experience, and I will never use this spa again. I spent $175 on a partial wax and now will have to shave the patch work she left behind. She tried to tell me that you let it grow for a month prior to your appointment, implying the hairs were too short. It was not too short. She pulled against the hair growth causing breakage instead of removing it from the root. She simply did not want to do it. She went over the same bare areas over and over again. You can only point at your pubic area so much before you give up. I wouldn't recommend this service. read more

today, I went to get a moms day out package , I was welcomed by friendly faces, and was took upstairs to get changed into a robe, when it came to my massage, A sweet soul came to me, Gill. He welcomed me with open arms and a calm presence . explained everything he did and relaxed me to a level I had yet to be before. I haven't trusted a man to touch me so gently , so calmly in a long time. His presence was amazing, afterwards I met with a Woman, Jessica, when I say, phenomenal , I truly mean it!!! she was so welcoming and heart warming, to say the least, I cannot ! This was my first visit to Oasis Day Spa and my first ever spa experience. I have never had a professional massage/spa day before so I have nothing to compare it to. My boyfriend purchased this for me for Valentines day for over $200. The least I was hoping for was that when I left my visit I would feel relaxed and at ease. During the massage the therapist proceeded to discuss the events that have been occurring in Downtown Burlington over the year, telling me her frustrations with the Black Lives Matter protests downtown and the homeless issues on Church Street. I was hoping to have a quiet massage experience but I did not want to be rude so I continued to converse with the massage therapist. I was hoping to at least discuss something not as political and sensitive during what I wanted to be a relaxing day. These issues are important and I think it is great to hear others perspectives, but there is a more appropriate time and place. I actually work in a Med Spa and it is made clear to employees that it is not okay to bring up social/political issues during services. I received a pedicure as well with my package. The woman who completed my pedicure was very friendly but when she finished I was only given 10/15 minutes to dry may nails. I was sad that when I got home my pedicure was completely smudged. She asked once she finished if I was ready to go and drive home in the flip flops they gave me and I said no. I honestly thought she was joking at first but the more I think about it I do not think she was. I have never been rushed out of a nail appointment so quickly. I would say that it was not worth $70. Unfortunately, I do not see myself coming back here. I hope that the owners are able to at least hear this feedback and move forward so other clients can have better experiences in the future. read more

Had the best cupping, massage and facial by Lindsay! I was a bit nervous after learning what cupping consists of but it was wonderful and my back certainly felt like jelly after. Since they're paid by the hour and each appointment is an hour (or 1.5 hr) there is no need for her to rush and she checked in frequently about pressure etc and if I was comfortable ! Can't wait till the next one I highly recommend this place and her I won't go elsewhere! Place was clean and staff was polite! read more

My daughter gave me a "Champagne and Roses" full body treatment for a Christmas gift. We just came home and I have never felt so fantastic! I've loved getting massages here over the past ten years, but sadly today was my last as I experienced the most unaccommodating customer service. I received a gift card (125.00) from my husband for graduation and I must admit that I misplaced it. These things happen. I arrived early to let them know that I couldn't find the card and see what we could do. The receptionists were friendly, but let me know that they would need the original card. I assumed this meant that they needed the original card that it was purchased with since I was very clear that I couldn't find the gift card. My husband was driving by to drop off our kids at school and he swung in to give them his credit card that he used to pay for the gift card in May. They told him that he needed to give the original gift card and they couldn't retrieve the information from his credit card purchase. I'm very confused why they thought he could magically make the gift card appear! Also, I'm still wondering how they have no record of his purchase nor did they attempt to find it. I could've provided them with the bank statement and card number on the spot. I asked to speak to the owner and he told me to just, "go and enjoy my massage" and we'd "make it better" when I was done. Well, the massage was lovely, but when I returned to the counter they handed me a reimbursement form and said that "if and when" I found the card they would be happy to reimburse me. Then I was charged the full price of the massage without another word. (120.00) Translation, "thanks for paying 250.00 for that massage. Have a nice day!" That is certainly not my idea of making it better. I wouldn't have had the massage if I knew that they would be completely dismissive. I take full responsibility for losing the card (which I just found and will be returning promptly to collect my reimbursement!), but it was the lack of accommodation and general shadiness that really irritates me. I would estimate that over the past decade I have spent over 2,000 dollars in that salon and I obviously wasn't trying to pull a fast one one them. I seriously suggest modifying your computer system and rethinking your policy. You have just lost a customer. read more

We went here to get our nails done prior to my friend's wedding. They would only accept us in sets of 2, so that two people could get a manicure while 2 people got pedicures. The manicures and pedicures are done in different rooms, which is weird. We had to wait around FOREVER to get our pedicures and we're not really sure why. We waited easily for 45 minutes without any reasoning why. I've absolutely had better manicures than this one. I'm not sure why it wasn't going on flat, but it was weird. Staff was mostly friendly and engaging. This place is absolutely overpriced. For the 4 of us to get this mani/pedi package was over $400 combined. That's crap. We returned the next day to have our hair done for the wedding. They did a much better job styling our hair than painting our nails... read more

Loved my spa day today. Annie gave me a facial and a salt glow. Both treatments were great. She really made the day feel like it was all about you. My skin and body feel amazing. The only thing is that I wish she extracted a little more during the facial. I still see a couple of blackheads, but definitely nothing serious. Still loved it. Someone had mentioned the wait area was really small. Not sure how much bigger you are looking for because it was definitely cozy, and not as cold as mentioned. Let' start with the receptionist- No matter who greets you in person or on the phone they are impatient and rude at times. Many times when calling to make an appointment they leave you on hold for up to 5 minutes! Next- when you make an appointment they spend more time on the details of how they won't be giving all of your money back if you cancel than asking you any pertinent questions like preference for technician or masseuse. Lastly- tried to get the the owner to respond by both phone ( 3 calls) and an email.... no response. I consider unprofessional and it shows who's educated the staff. Summary: Absolutely the worst customer service. You actually feel uncomfortable, almost like they are irritated that they have to interact with you. The silver lining: The masseuses are the exception. read more

My sister and I had the Mom's Day Out package which included a one hour massage, spa pedicure and paraffin hand treatment plus a lunch from Chef's Corner. The services were good, the spa was clean, and the food (chicken Caesar salad) was great. They use a less toxic line of nail polish which is nice. If we could have had our services side by side, it would have made it more enjoyable, but overall a nice atmosphere and experience. Complimentary coffee and tea, ample free parking, and convenient to Taft Corners. Very reasonable package prices, but be prepared to pay tip in cash. read more

I had a massage there a few years ago and I was using a gift card. I asked if my lower back could be worked on more and the massage therapist took that as me requesting a deep tissue. She then proceeded to tell me that deep tissue is more expensive and that i should pay more and I told her I just wanted more time on my back but she kept going on about how she shouldnt do it but will, as a favor to me, like she was doing a favor. She then lectured me a little more on how deep tissue is more. Now years later, Im looking to get a regular massage and trying out a few places. I decided a good amount of time had past and as long as I thoroughly explain what I wanted Id be fine. I could also make sure it is not the same therapist. So I called to make an appt and asked for anything open that same day, she gave me an appt time about 2 hours from the call so I agreed. She then wanted credit card information so that if I cancelled they could charge me HALF the amount of money it costs for the massage. I told her I was driving and could not give that information and she said she would need it within a half hour. Then when I said I couldnt, she put the desk manager on and she explained to me that since I used a gift card last time, she would need the credit card information for the 48 hours cancellation policy. I was driving, then into a meeting and then Id be driving again, so I didnt have time to call back. I insisted Id be there in a couple hours. I also had awful service at this location meeting and she still insisted. When I asked if I would be charged half if I cancelled, she said she would let it slide this time. I didnt plan on cancelling, but its silly that they would charge me half if I had only made the appt 2 hours prior. They are also in customer service!!! Cancellations happen! They should not be charging credit cards if people cant make it. Things happen...its not personal and I know you are trying to run a business but who is just making lots of appts and then not showing up?? They said it was a strict 48 hour notice policy but I was making the same day appt. It would have been similar to a walk in. Id pay when I get there. Im happy to pay somewhere else that will let me make a last minute appt and not try to charge if I had to cancel and understand that Im driving or that Im busy and cant get them credit card info. They just lost out on a possible regular customer that tips well. read more

Went in to get an updo for a wedding with all the girls from the wedding party. Told her I wanted curls and a crown braid. She informed me that she "doesn't do braids" but another stylist could do it. She curled my hair in MASSIVE chunks ensuring they wouldnt hold and then proceeded to braid my hair (poorly) one on each side making it look like I was getting my hair done for my kindergarten school picture. Incidentally, the two flower girls had the same style. I told her I had wanted a crown braid from one side to the other and she just took one side out and left the hair messy instead of recurling it. At that point I knew there was no way she would be able to save the style in enough time so I decided to leave. By the time I got home to Essex Center, the elastics had slipped (not broke) out of the remaining braid and caused that braid to fall out. My curls had fallen and my hair looked like it may have been professionally done a week ago and then I had slept in a tent and not showered or looked in a mirror. The WHOLE wedding party had the same complaints. We all ended up redoing our hair ourselves and wishing we hadn't wasted the exorbitant amount of money we were charged. I would NEVER go back here again! It was a huge waste of time, money and stress the day of the wedding. read more

Had a haircut with the owner, Jeff, last night. Really nice guy! I never blow dry my hair, so unfortunately by the time I got home and it had fully air dried, I realized it was not exactly what I wanted. Called back his morning and was able to be seen by him again 9:30, and he basically gave me a second haircut free of charge. Admitted that he wanted to play it safe and keep it longer, as you can "always go shorter" (this was a multi-inch haircut so playing it safe is great). I spent an amazingly relaxing four hours here this morning! The staff was professional, friendly and so helpful. They have a great team and offer a large variety of services. Even when I was done, the woman doing my facial knew I was having a day away from my kids and suggested I hang out and have a cup of tea to keep relaxing. I was in VT a few weeks ago and had the pleasure of spending a few hours at Oasis Day Spa AND I LOVED IT. I had a 60 minute massage with Donita and a 60 minute facial with Annie... both were wonderful and sent me straight to my zen place! Let's start with the massage... Donita listened to my issues with my back and neck and knew exactly how to work them out. It was a perfect deep-tissue, knot-defying massage that left me feeling like a bobblehead. As for my facial...Annie was amazing. Massages are part of my well-being routine but facials are a treat. And this was certainly a treat. She took her time accessing my skin's needs, and throughout the facial she would give me tips on what to do after the facial to keep my skin healthy. She recommended some products that they sell but never in an aggressive way which I appreciated. For both treatments, the rooms and beds were cozy, the music and temperature just right. And lastly but certainly not less important, the people really make this place. Customer service and comfort seem to be their top priorities. The owners, Jeff and Stephanie, could not be more lovely and gracious. During my visit they were walking around and making sure their customers were satisfied and comfortable. If you are looking for waterfalls and steam rooms, you won't find them here. With that said, you aren't going to pay those kinds of spa prices either. Both treatments were incredibly reasonable - $80 for deep tissue and $70 for facial... can't beat that! The waiting area is comfortable and has a great selection of tea and coffee, and lemon water which I love. And another perk are the comfy robes, which a spa just isn't a spa without those. The spa itself is quite nice, clean. My services were even good, however, the front desk girl failed to let me know that i could not put a tip onto my credit card at the time i made my reservation so when i was paying via CC i had no cash with which to tip the staff. When i asked where the ATM was she stated that there wasn't one in the immediate area but i could go over to Rite Aid and get cash back.....um....what?!? Why am I doing all this extra work to tip their staff? I asked her about the policy and she stated that it is just the owners policy. I mentioned that it would have been nice to know that in advance and got no response from either girl sitting there. I did end up walking to Rite Aid and getting cash back because i believe in tipping for good service but i definitely will not be recommending this spa to anyone nor will i be back. I should not have to run around after a spa service to find cash to tip the staff. read more

I was given a spa day here as a Christmas gift and it was divine. Started with a hydromassage, then a one hour full-body massage, followed by a really excellent mani-pedi. If you go to Oasis, make sure you get Juliet. I am sure everyone else is great too, but I have NEVER had so much fun getting the best cut I have ever had. She is so warm and welcoming and I would go so far as to say that she is a true artist. I have very difficult hair to cut. I am 46 years old and have never found anyone who intuitively knew what to do. She took her time, made me laugh and really cared about my past hair woes. I got a root touch up this past weekend, and the lady who did my hair wasn't rude but not overly friendly either. She touched up my roots, and left me there for 50 minutes. When the dye washed out, she mentioned that it looked a bit bronzy or orange, so she put in a toner free of charge, which was nice. After blowing out my hair, you could see that it looked bronzy, orange, and yellow. At the time, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but it really didn't look good. A gave it a couple of days, and decided after the 2nd or 3rd day that I really didn't like it, and it really looked awful. It looked like a bad dye job, like I could have maybe done a better job myself. Well, I called a receptionist, who has been there for years, who I really like. She mentioned I could come later in the week to have it fixed, as I probably just needed a toner, and she also mentioned that it would be no charge, which was a definite question I had regarding getting it done. When I got to the salon today to have it fixed by the same lady, which is normally not a big issue, but I guess it was in my case. I waited 20 minutes, and she came out. She confronted to almost immediately about why I didn't like the color, and that it looked great, and that my hair was "orange" when I came in, and she "fixed" it. OK, first off, saying someone's hair is "orange" is unprofessional, and my was absolutely not. She then told me that she would have to charge me for product to fix my hair. I then informed her that I had spoken with the receptionist earlier in the week, and she mentioned I could come in to have my hair fixed, and there would be no charge, and that is why I was there. She then went off about how if she doesn't charge me it comes out of her pocket, and she has family and kids to support. First off, a salon shouldn't charge their staff for products used on clients, ever, unless they steal or use and excessive amount. To fix a unsatisfied customer's hair, that should have been fixed before I even left the the salon the first time, should be absolutely fine, and its good customer service. Plus, we all have families and kids, and our own lives to support. That information was unnecessary and unprofessional. Before she even went off, and should have gotten the owner or manager to talk further about the situation at hand, instead of telling me I had to pay or else it would come out of her pocket. Eventually, she said, I could get the owner if you wanted, and yes, I would like to talk to her. She then rudely corrected me that it was a he, and in fact, I knew that there are two owners, husband and wife, and I was assuming I would be conversing with the wife. The owner came out and tried to tell me that my hair looked great, and how it looked so much better than it had when I came in. OK, first off. He didn't see me when I came in, nor did I interact with him at all, I NEVER saw him at my visit. So that was a lie. Then, I explained to him the situation, and he recognized that there was miscommunication, and that the receptionist shouldn't never said they could fix it for now cost. Again, what kind of salon is this? Normally, a salon with attempt to fix their mistakes, and make a customer's hair satisfactory if they are unhappy, its just good customer service, and if there are charges, which normally there are not, then you would tell the customer. Eventually, I just got fed and with being bombarded by the hairdresser and owner, in the middle of the salon floor, and I started crying. What a great place, with great owners and employees, huh? They are so rude and not understanding that they make a customer, who has been going there, spending lots of money of services, for over 7 years, cry because they couldn't even help fix a hair color mistake that was the hairdressers fault in the first place. Nice. Eventually when I started crying, the their attitudes completely changed, and were trying to be nice to be all of sudden, and now they would allow my hair to be fixed with products, with no charge. But that didn't stop the owner to try to sell me hair products that they just get in, called "unwashed" shampoo. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? Both of the owner and hairdresser should have actually stopped, paid attention to the customer, me, and help with fixing my hair. Instead, of the owner trying to sell me products. The hairdresser tried to start small talk with me, like I ever want to talk with her again, seriously. As mentioned before, other salons, such as Stephen and Burns, Orbit, and Indigo, would absolutely fix color if a customer was unhappy with the job done, and most likely free of charge, as it would be the hair artist's doing in the beginning. Plus, if charges were to needed to be applied, they certainly would never treat the situation like I experienced. The salon at Oasis day spa is unprofessional, and their quality of cut and color in inconceivable to the end hair styles and color they produce. Stay away!!! read more

I went in for a pedicure with my daughter and sister-in-law. The nail technicians were very nice, although they did bring up a few topics that were somewhat inappropriate for a 13yr old. That aside, my bigger problem was with the front desk. The woman was rude and very terse from the start. Almost as if we were inconveniencing them by even being there. When you visit a spa, or any business that provides a service, you should feel welcomed from the moment you step in the door. We were both paying with gift cards. I made it clear that I was trying to use up my balance since I knew I wouldn't be coming back. She was clearly irritated that I kept adding product to get to the full amount of the card. Then, I received a phone call later that day saying that I owed them money because their computer had glitched. And while this is unfortunate for them, it is not my error. The customer should not be expected to pay for their computer issues. I was shocked that they would expect that in the first place. Needless to say, they've lost my business. read more

I had my hair cut/styled by Alexa (sp?) in August, and it has been the nicest haircut I've had in years. It looks good everyday, requires minimal styling and I receive lots of compliments. I only had one experience here, and I'm sorry to say, it will be my last. Although the staff and owner Jeff were very friendly and the salon appeared clean, this was, by far, the most painful and messy haircut I have ever received. Jeff cut my hair and got shampoo on my cheeks and in my ears while shampooing and really yanked on my hair the whole time he cut and styled. He also banged the round brush over and over and over on the back of my head while blow-drying, which made me want to scream, but it is partly my fault for not saying anything. Also, his finger went into my mouth twice while styling, leaving product and tiny bits of hair for me to munch on. Jeff was not able to translate what I told him about how I like to wear my hair into a style that I was comfortable even going to the convenience store with afterwards. I told Jeff that I like to wear my hair straight and sleek. After the cut, Jeff made me look like 1st season Rachael from Friends after a parasail. I my hair was stiff, knotted, and I could not run my hands through it if I tried. I waited until after I got home, showered, and styled it myself to make the final judgment on the cut itself. Jeff had cut hair around my bangs that I told him I was trying to grow out and he was apparently not able to use the photos I brought him of previous hair cuts I've had to give me a similar cut/style. Also, the cut was $5 more than quoted at the time I made the appointment and they were not able to put a tip on my credit card. Overall, my experience here was not pleasant, and the cut did not end up being that good. I wish I could give a better review because Jeff was very nice as was his staff. read more
