I was unfortunately disappointed with my experience for my wedding day hair. During my trial, I loved the style we created and felt confident going into my wedding day. However, the final result looked quite different from the trial and ended up feeling rushed and subpar, especially for such an important occasion. What was most disappointing was the response when I expressed that I wasn't happy with my hair. Instead of feeling heard, I felt that the owner became defensive rather than trying to understand my concerns or work toward a solution. As a bride, you hope to feel supported and confident on your wedding day, and unfortunately, that wasn't my experience. I do want to mention that the makeup artists were absolutely amazing. They were professional, kind, and did a beautiful job with everyone's makeup, which I truly appreciated. I don't leave negative reviews lightly, but I think it's important for future brides to know that while the makeup team was wonderful, my experience with the wedding hair services and customer service fell short of expectations. read more

Absolutely the BEST service for my elopement. My mother in law and my best friend and I went there to get ready. I wasn't feeling great that day and Nadya and her team were a dream. She was incredible and calm. Helped me get the best hair and my make up. Even got me a bagel sandwich. This shop is amazing. They have a little area with drinks and a bar counter looking out the garden that was peaceful to sip my tea and wait for my hair to set and they worked on my friend and MIL hair. The products they use smelled and felt AMAZING!!! They are a one stop shop and you won't be disappointed coming here to get ready with your group. I am so glad we decided to come here instead of hire people to come to the air bnb. We all felt pampered and stylish. Their prices were unbelievably amazing too! So I was in Stowe for a few weeks and needed a partial highlight. Called this place and was able to get in that day if I canceled on getting a hair cut or blow dry. A little bummed because we all love a good blowout. Anyway, my stylist thought I just needed a root touch up. I was ok with that. Well I have very blonde highlights and asked that my touch up only be a shade or two darker. Well immediately I realized this was way too dark. She and others kept saying it will lighten. It's just wet right now. Well this was horrible. It was so dark and the front desk assistant said. I can tell you are getting worried! I said, yes I am. This is way to dark and this is way more than a touch up. My blonde hair had strikes off dark running sideways - the roots where so dark and awful. One worker said to me - well it matches your eyebrows. But don't worry give it a few washings. Then said come back if you would like highlights. Are you F'in kidding me. Weather changed my plans from doing my own hair for a wedding to needing a professional to get involved. I made a (very) last minute appointment at Salon Salon and got matched up with Sage. Not only was everyone super sweet and accommodating with my schedule, but my hair looks fabulous! (IMO) Sage got my hair in an updo with a braid and all sorts of curls super quick and I can tell- not a piece of hair is going to move today. On another note, a young lady came in to fix some color issues (that seemed complicated). I didn't see her final result, but I did see the teamwork that went in to coming up with a solution to make her comfortable with her hair again. 5/5 y'all! read more

I am visiting the area and wanted to get a relaxing pedicure before heading for 2 more weeks of driving and camping. I chose this salon because my salon at home is an Aveda salon and I assumed this salon, also being an Aveda salon, would provide the same high-quality experience that I'm used to from my salon; however, I was wrong in my assumption. The woman who did my pedicure was really sweet but my entire 'spa pedicure' took 25 minutes and most of that time was spent on polishing. She barely clipped my toe nails and didn't even file all of them. Although most of the time was spent on polishing my nails, some of the nails are missing polish on the sides. What's more, she did a hair consultation while she was doing my pedicure. This pedicure was not worth the $55 I paid! read more

I went here just to have a blow out because I was attending a wedding in the area. I called just the day before and yet they were kind enough to give me an appointment the next day. I had a simple shampoo and blow out which was very quick and they put the most fragrant product in my hair. I am regretting that I didn't find out what it was because it smelled so good and fresh. Thank GOD or whatever deity that may or may not exist, that I found this salon. When I first moved to Vermont 4 years ago, I'd had a hair-raising experience at a Salon in Montpelier. Went to another after that in Burlington, but the stylist I had there left. So, I found Salon Salon I think about two years ago and am so happy. It is family owned and the talent is tremendous. First appointment ever I had Jen, who is a dynamo in personality and talent. Second time I ended up sitting with her daughter Sage, who is equally as talented! Sage is intuitive with both color and cuts, and gets what I want when I fumble with communicating what look I'm going for. I've had several appointments and 2 facials with her and I've always left the salon feeling like a million bucks. It's money so well spent and goes a long way. Plus somehow she's a wizard with time. Sage seriously knows her way around my head of hair ( I have a lot), and gives me a fantastic cut in 30 minutes. It doesn't hurt I always laugh heartily when I go there as all of the staff are friendly and hilarious. It's a great vibe, very relaxed but with seriously talented stylists. I cannot speak to the hair services, my review is regarding the nail services. We are in the area on a ski trip. My daughter is not a skier so on our off day I thought it would be nice to get pedicures together. I have to agree with the other reviews that this was the quickest and worst pedicure I have ever received. I believe from start to finish was 20 min or less. We spent a longer time waiting for our nails to dry-then mine smudged anyway. Sounds like they do hair right but would suggest you go somewhere else for your nails. read more

I used to go to this salon quite often. The last time I went I found my usual stylist was no longer there so someone else was going to do my hair. That was fine with me. The new stylist took so long and when it came time to pay, the manager or owner(not sure) told her to charge me more because it took so long to do my hair. Are you kidding me?? It doesn't work that way. Not to mention this manager also sat and gossiped the whole time my hair was being done and was tlking about people I actually knew.
