This salon is very clean and welcoming. The owners are very kind and attentive. The end result of my service was great. However, as someone who regularly gets service at a number of places in and out of state - $57 for a gel manicure is not reasonable in my opinion. When I made the appointment I was asked- "what's on your nails now?"- which would have been the perfect opportunity to explain their very unusual approach to pricing. They charge $15 to remove existing polish, and $42 for new gel polish. I requested a manicure but really all I got was removal of my existing gel polish, and reapplication of new gel polish. Came here with my friend prior to her wedding to get our nails done. We got matching pedicures and gel manicures. When we arrived, the Element nail technicians helped us pick out colors and set us up in the massage chairs for pedicures. The chairs were really comfy, and had great settings. We were super relaxed! Then we moved to fingernails, and they did a great job of applying the gel and making our nails look great. Overall the service was pretty fast and high quality, and the place overall has good, mellow vibes. Everything looks so clean and well maintained here. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon! I just moved to Vermont and found this salon online. When I called to make an appointment, the man on the phone was incredibly rude to me and explained that they do not do any "art" on the nails even though the pictures on the website have nails with designs all over. I ended up still coming to the salon for an acrylic full set. The lady that did my nails did not do any cuticle care ! She paint over the cuticles and hang mail that I had. Whilst doing my nails another party arrived and she seemed to be so distracted with finishing my nails so she could assist the other party. My nails came out terrible, so thick and already peeling off after only a couple days having acrylics. They look absolutely awful. I will not go here again and neither should you! In addition to the comment the business owner made below...My name is Claudia I am using my boyfriends yelp as I do not have an account. This was absolutely the correct place...when I talked to the man on the phone he said "I know there is art on the website, but this takes hours to do and we don't actually offer it." Again when talked on the phone the man referred as a "full set" without any specifics. Again there was no cuticle/nail care and I paid $75 (not including tip), you'd think for that price you'd have a better experience. Came here for a facial and a regular mani-pedi. Facial was good, but what made it good was that Michelle is an excellent masseuse and instead of leaving you by yourself, she massages you while the facial sets in. Wow, she is an excellent masseuse. The facial I paid for was the hibiscus clarifying facial and she did not do any extractions, which I thought was weird. The mani pedi was done by Cassidy, and while the pedi was fine, the mani was great. I told her I really wanted her to focus on my hands and she did a great job. I would say that the owners could stand to let us decide was is best for us, instead of telling us--I definitely felt patronized a bit by being told what I needed and what I should get, but I am reviewing the services, not the owners. My pedi could have been a bit more thorough, a bit more cuticle maintenance and the color could have been better but I told her I was more interested in my hands, and she did do that well. I think I would come here for a massage and maybe one of the powder or gel nail services, as the regular nail polish services were very expensive. read more

Paid $105 for a gel pedi and just a manicure and left totally dissatisfied. She was very rough when removing my old polish and irritated my skin with nail file which caused my skin to burn. She needs more training with cuticle removing because I had a lot left after my mani. She also Was not very friendly from the get go. I don't mind paying for good service but it was not received. My experienced was a mixed one with elements nail salon. I am newer to Vermont, and have been searching for a nail spa. Reviews led me a try elements and I scheduled for a paradise pedicure. The technician was kind and warm and definitely gave a very nice leg/foot massage, but the treatment was quite fast. in the past when I've upgraded my pedicure service, it's taken close to if not 60 minutes, paradise pedicure was completed in about 30 minutes which seems to be about the average length for a standard pedicure. I noticed the technician did not spend much time on nail care, and my cuticles as well callus removal. Though it was a warm environment where people were very friendly and eager to help, I will be exploring other salons, and may consider returning for one more try with a different technician. read more

I absolutely loved my Element Nail Salon experience --Michelle the owner was so welcoming and willing to talk about what I was hoping to have done when I arrived. The space was bright, inviting, and most importantly *clean*! I enjoyed a delightful foot bath (they adjusted the temperature just right), hot stone massage, and pedicure -- which to my surprise lasted over 2 weeks. It was a absolute delight to be pampered, and yes, it is BYOB with glasses provided, so it's an excellent spa day option. They also have hot tea available as well if you're looking for a non-alcoholic way to relax. While the salon itself can be a little out of the way, you can absolutely make a day trip out of it and sample some delightful fare at the Hinesburg Public House which is less than a mile away! read more

After being stuck in quarantine for months I wanted to treat myself. I had only been to the salon once before and did not have a good experience. There was paint all over my finger nails, the technician was rude and didn't want to fix her mistakes. I hadn't gone back until today because my usual nail place was closed. I paid 90 dollars for a gel manicure and pedicure...which is outrageous. The massage sucks, no hot towels, it seemed like the technician couldn't wait to get me out of the chair even though I was the only customer. I still have calluses and my cuticles look the exact same. After leaving bummed about the way my nails turned out not even 2 hours later my entire pinky toes nail polish fell off. I called to be talk to rudely by the male owner. I would NOT recommend this nail salon to anyone!!!! read more

The place was clean and the people were nice, but the paint job was sloppy and the nail shape was bumpy and very uneven. All I got were short white nails with glitter on the ring finger and the price was $68. That's double what it should be. I've gotten more detailed nails than this and it was still cheaper. I thought they looked good at first so I told myself I'd trust the process, but once the lady started to paint my nails I could see how bad the shape was. Not to mention she was struggling to get the last little bit of nail polish left in the container so I got light coats. Very disappointing. read more

Michelle, the owner, is the sister of the owner of Jennie's Nail Salon in the Burlington Mall. She is very friendly and accommodating. I got a gel manicure and eyebrow waxing. Both were great. Michelle is very patient and fun to talk to. She made sure I received exactly what I wanted on both. The music and atmosphere here are both super relaxing. Also, check in for a complementary beverage and BYOB. They have wine glasses for you to use. I am always so pleased with my experience at Element Nail Salon. They are doing an amazing job with all the new safety procedures that salons need to have in place. I always feel welcome and cared for by the owners and the staff here. I've lived in Vermont for 3 years and my mom came up to visit early on. I was learning about the area and we came in to have our nails done. Michelle asks after my mom all the time. I don't come in every week, sometimes I can't get here for months because work is busy and life doesn't give me time to get my nails done... but Michelle remembers to ask me about my mom and that's uncanny to me. As I walked out today I said "How does she do that? Remember guests this way?" It's incredible. It's amazing customer service overall at Element Nail Salon. Professional, personal, clean environment, lovely people, and a relaxing experience. I'd give more stars if I could. Highly recommend! I wanted to like this salon after getting a fill because they were kind and helpful and I enjoyed my appointment. However the next after my nail fill nails started to break off. After paying (in my mind highly overpriced) $69 for ONLY a fill its a bit discouraging to break nails after one day!! Since then I have continued to lose atleast one or more nails a day without even doing a thing just simple everyday tasks. I have emailed back and fourth, they answered twice and wanted me to come in to have nails "fixed" however that's not plausible side I'd have to go in everyday! I tried to work out something fair (a discount for a new set that I offered to pay for just asked for some money off) to have a new set put on that would hopefully not fall off but they have not answered me back at all. I had a terrible experience at this nail salon. I arrived early to check in and was greeted by a yell from the technician who was across the salon to pick my color. No one came over to greet me, check me in for the reservation I'd made or bothered to ask my name. The polish on one of my toenails is smooshed completely, and another has large bubbles under. The skin next to my nails also has polish on it which is the reason I don't paint my nails myself. After my pedicure, my technician moved on to another client. I sat there for 25 minutes. I finally asked if my nails were done drying and she abruptly grabbed my foot, asked me which sandal was mine, and put my sandal back on. Poor quality and poor service. This would have been a 2 or 3 star review, but... Three days after my pedicure, I found a black hair nearly an inch long under the skin on the bottom of my foot. The hair was under a layer or two of my skin parallel to the bottom of my foot. I do not have black hair and I have no hair growing on the bottom of my foot. My guess is that the tools, water bath, etc were not clean. This was absolutely disgusting to discover and it was difficult to remove the hair from underneath my skin. I am not a squeamish person or a germs phone, but I am never going back to this salon and recommend that others concerned with hygiene do the same. read more

The 5-star treatment I got from Michelle merits a 5-star rating! This is the most personal attention I've ever received during a pedicure. After a series of thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing treatments, Michelle carefully applied a basecoat and two coats of polish. Before applying the topcoat, she looked up at me and said "You don't like the color, do you?" In fact, I didn't, but I wasn't going to say anything...after all, I'd chosen it. She went and got two different polishes (different shades of the color I'd chosen), let me select a much better choice, and applied the new color and top coat with the same care as the first color. Wow! In order to offer such personal attention, appointments are highly recommended. Because Michelle and her co-worker give every customer their full attention, if you're a walk-in they won't just squeeze you in, you'll really need to wait until they're free. I much prefer this.
