Figured the eucalyptus would be fine semi seasoned since this wood is so flammable. They delivered in the rain per my request! Wood still came pretty dry and they were able to back up my steeper driveway and have their dump truck dump at the top. Wood has been great quality and burns hotttt and pretty long in the wood stove. The front office was very accommodating and nice. They included some wood to go since we had mentioned we were completely out. Was a good idea anyway to try it out and see if we liked the wood. Also gave us a couple of freebie fire starters which is paraffin wax and cedar shavings. Those start a fire quickly but was $1.25 each. Even cutting them in quarters I don't think it's worth the price over fat wood or other starters such as that. Either way-- highly recommend checking it out for firewood. They also sell Christmas trees here and looked to be of high quality and not any more than Home Depot or other places with cut trees in town.

I tell her that's crazy talk. I ask her if she asked if the wood is dry. He told her yes. Next day the delivery happens when no one is home. Totally wet uncured wood. It will barely light. Bottom line is we had to go buy another cord of wood from a reputable dealer that will actually burn. Avoid these people.

Bahara's seemed like the best choice and was local so I called last Friday. On Tuesday Juan showed up on schedule and dropped a honest 1/2 cord of all oak at the house. Nice and dry with about 70% of it being clean grained and easy to spit for the smoker. The pieces with knots and crotches make great wood for the fireplace of the beach. The one thing they focused on -- scraping the driveway -- was communicated as an extra cost, but they never told me how much it would be. I didn't find out until after the fact that it ate up nearly my entire budget. I already had quotes from other companies for a fraction of what they charged. The results were just as bad. I had taken my own before-and-after photos, and they clearly showed benches knocked over, trash left behind, and areas that looked worse than before. The company didn't provide any proof of work themselves -- just told me it was done and expected me to believe it, even though my pictures showed otherwise. My realtor confirmed it didn't look like much had been done. In the end, I had to spend another $3,000 to hire someone else to finish the work they were supposed to do. On top of that, the owner repeatedly called and threatened to put a lien on my property instead of working with me to resolve things fairly. If you're considering this company, beware: they underdelivered, overcharged without being upfront, and left my property in worse shape than before.
