Y'all. We know that having car issues is never fun. But Carlos and Patty at OCC made the entire process manageable and pleasant. I had to get a tire, strut, and suspension replaced, and Patty did a fantastic job walking me through the entire process and keeping me updated via phone. Patty made it her priority to make sure I knew what was going on with my car, and she was so approachable. I felt like she really looked out for me. Carlos was out of the office, but I ended up meeting him since my situation took ~3 weeks. Their business is family-run/owned and they're local residents of Oakland too! Their body shop is legit, hooked up with security cameras and on the corner of 10th/5th, so you can't miss it! On the day I picked up my car, there was a hiccup where I they forgot to do a final diagnostic run. But no sweat! Carlos hooked me up, ordered the remaining parts that were necessary, and got my car fully fixed up in 4 hours! SAME DAY! He even dropped me and picked me up from my place so I didn't have to wait in the shop (although that couch they have is pretty comfy). Carlos, thanks for also cleaning up my engine...that was totally out of the goodness of his heart. I believe they also buffed my car and washed it up because when it was sitting in the tow yard, it did not look that shiny and clean. Patty and Carlos are transparent and genuine Oaktown folks. Had the pleasure of working with Carlos and his sister recently. Someone tried to unsuccessfully steal my car and destroyed the ignition/door handle in the process. I actually was going to go to tow to a different place but the AAA tow driver recommended Carlos. Carlos gave me a great deal and walked me through all the parts and work needed to fix it. In addition to fixing what I paid for, he fixed a couple cosmetic things and my steering wheel lock which I would have never fixed on my own, but that I really appreciated. The owner was on vacation but answered my call and had his brother meet us and open the shop although they were closed. They were very responsive, professional and accommodating. They began the estimate process but late Monday my insurance company wanted the car towed to So Cal where we live. I would have felt very confident in their ability to repair our vehicle, and only moved the car due to insurance. The shop is clean, safe and secure. They were so kind and understanding, which was great because I was shaken and had not filled a claim or been in an accident in decades. They work quickly and are extremely professional. Your friendly neighborhood auto shop! This place had wonderful service. They accept all insurances and have great deals. I found this place through my dad and it's nearby a good quiet neighborhood. The owner and workers are super friendly and respectful. (I'd like to note that I do think this is a family owned business, so support your local neighborhood businesses). They are always responsive. Always calling me with updates on my car. He did a lot of talking to the insurance for me and got back to me right away. Communication is key to great customer service and they definitely have that here. They did a great job fixing my car. It looks good as new and it looked like they gave it a wash too, which is plus. Carlos, one of the owners of the family-owned business, was accommodating in providing me with a reasonable estimate since I didn't use my insurance to cover dents to my car doors when I ran into a metal gate. He dropped me off at Bart after I dropped off my car. I dropped off my car on a Monday and it was ready on Thursday. The repairs were superiorly made. When I went to retrieve the car, I was pleasantly surprised to find my car washed, vaccummed inside, dashboard wiped down including the interior of the windows. I have never been able to clean the inside of the windows without leaving any streaks, etc. but the worker found a solution! My tires were checked and inflated appropriately.
