A classic diner with all the right vibes and food. The menu wasn't a novel, so it was nice to see a diner stick to the classics, with maybe some Asian influences. The smash burger was great, not too greasy, and you should definitely splurge on the tater tots. They were crisp to perfection. For breakfast, you can't go wrong with the two eggs and a side. Hard to mess up but Oakhurst diner does it very well. Have it with a mimosa or two. The staff was very friendly and everything came out quick. This place is very chill and people tend to stay after their meal. So if you go and ask "how long is the wait", understand that when you get a seat, no one is going to be rushing you. Wait time was not long at all so just enjoy the town and surrounding antique shops.

Avocado toast, veggies & hashbrowns, pancakes

Sydney was the absolute best server. Was a bit busy Sunday around 11am, but there was a booth free and the host put a chair on the end to accommodate our group of 5. Unlimited drip coffee refills, cheap dishes, quick service. I'm vegan and Sydney helped direct me to my options and what could be modified. Ended up going with the avocado toast without egg and a breakfast scramble dish with sautéed veggies and hashbrowns (removing the cheese and eggs) to split between me and the other vegan in the group. They also had oat milk for coffee/tea drinks, so I got a delicious iced chai. Even though it was busy, service was super quick! They also have a delicious hot sauce made in town and you can buy bottles of it (we got two). Other folks in my group got the veggie omelet (vegetarian, huge portion for $10), eggs Benedict, side of pancakes, and corned beef hash (which they said was one of the best they've had). I'd definitely come back here! As a vegan, I rarely find diners I can eat at, but this was great. Sydney said there are even more veg options on the non-brunch menu.

So called seasoned fries

I haven't had this bad if experience in a long time. Ordered some so called seasoned to enjoy outside. We waited forever at a dirty table getting ride looks from staff. Fries never came. I finally went inside and my fries are cold just sitting there. When i opened my fries they were not seasoned. Went in and ask for me fries and all the did was sprits some nasty source on my child fries. Save yourself from this diner. There are way better options in this main St

The Oakhurst Diner is the consummate "don't judge a book by its cover." It looks like an old-school diner, both outside and in. Don't get me wrong, I love an old-school diner. What Oakhurst offers is your favorite things to get at a typical diner, only the ingredients are super fresh and locally-sourced. The folks who work there are nice and helpful; even when it's busy (which is always), the food comes out quickly, is consistently delicious. And we're never rushed through a meal. I had a grilled chicken sandwich (avec bacon), and my friend had eggs, bacon and french toast. When the food arrived, there was far less conversation at our table! Definitely plan to go back any time I'm up in Millerton.

A good old nostalgic local diner with tasty food, a warm ambiance and friendly service. It really felt like I stepped back into time, loved the vibe. The way it was, is and always should be!

Oakhurst has an ambitious menu for a place in the middle of a tiny town. We stumbled in at 4PM when they were no longer supposed to be offering breakfast. Our server told us not to worry if we still wanted breakfast. Nice touch. Our order was all over the place. My wife got two eggs over easy with fries in place of home fries which they were out of. Not a big deal but the fries seemed to have a ton of pepper on them. My daughter got Huevos Rancherors which though tasty, didn't look like they were supposed to. My meatloaf entree tasted a bit more like sirloin steak pre-made but the mashed potatoes and broccoli were tasty. My son got a Caesar salad and tater tots as a side. The side of tots could have fed an army and were a bit over fried to the point of just being sharp potato fragments. Really friendly service here and fast service. Food isn't where it needs to be but this place has promise.

Gotta' tell you the truth here: never been to a diner anything like the Oakhurst. And we mean that in the best possible way. Their menu offers up some classic diner fare: burgers, salads, soups, steak, etc. But how about Pho? Or a Thai Bahn Mi pork sandwich? Or Korean Kim chi? Won-ton soup? And to go with it, maybe some beer or a margarita or a Manhattan because, yes, they have a full bar going. Draft beer, cocktails, anything to go along with your chili. Like we said, we've never been to a diner quite like this one. And we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit the other day. We tried the pho -- tasty broth, yummy noodles and beef, very nice, and a side of Kim chi. For our Asian-inclined partner, it was a wonderful treat. For the rest of us a hamburger and a cheeseburger with a side of fries worked out just fine. Add a Coke and we had a fine midday visit. The staff is young and quick and friendly, and the surroundings are no less pleasing. We ate inside at socially distanced booths; there were plenty of obvious COVID-19 precautions which we appreciated. There's also a nice dining area outdoors, which filled up quickly as we dined indoors. The diner is located right in the middle of Millerton, a delightful small town close to the Connecticut state line which boasts some interesting shops including two -- count 'em -- two book stores. We'll be back for sure.

Macro Plate with grilled chicken on the side

My friend and I stopped for lunch. We felt warmly welcomed by the staff! Great recommendations! I had a chocolate shake, and it was DEVINE! Then my friend got the macro plate (which was beautiful!) and I got the spicy chicken tacos! Very good! Will go back to try more off the menu!

We wound up here after a day of hiking in Massachusetts. How does a little diner in the middle of nowhere have Vietnamese on the menu ? Well they do and that pork sandwich was absolutely amazing as was the Asian salad. Cucumbers avocado w a spicy Asian dressing, great taste to it! Wife had a burger and she said it was good as well. Staff friendly and nice clean environment...Well worth the stop glad we saw the bright red light because we were hungry !

Jamie w his entree. He drank my diet Coke.

This place has been on "my list" for awhile. It's an old diner in a small town in eastern NYS. After visiting Bash Bish Falls, the highest waterfall in Mass, two friends and I found ourselves only ten miles away. Outdoor seating was available, but no umbrella on our table. As it was 12:30, we grabbed it. Sienna brought our paper menu, which we shared. Paul and I ordered the "Banh Mi Roast Pork Sandwich" which came on a toasted baguette. Jamie ordered the "Double Header Cheesy Style". Drinks came quickly, as did the food. All of us enjoyed our selections. My sandwich was very tasty and interesting, with just the right amount of spiciness. In this age of Covid-19, it seemed that the menu choices were significantly fewer than pre-Covid. Understandable, when this diner is limited to outdoor seating. I hope to be back for breakfast some day as some of the selections looked interesting, if not eclectic. Oh, and getting back to Sienna....very efficient and personable.

Something from the menu. Mexican, with chili and avacado. Very happy, and hot suace!

Nice central location-but food is nothing special. Agree with the tasteless patty melt review-and pricey too.

Your food really sucks. It tastes like someone took a crap in it. You should know better than serve food like that.

We continued inside and found the bar area. We saw that there was a group at a table. So, we continued inside and sat down. The staff is very nice, but very slow. The menu is very interesting. We ordered the spicy sausage with fig appetizer (This was the star of the show! we got another order!) 2 orders of butternut squash soup and grilled octopus for apps to share. We also requested more bread and were served fresh baked rolls that were so good! We ordered the pistachio crusted pork chop and shrimp risotto for entrees. The 2 people that ordered butternut squash soup were a split decision on it. One loved it the other hated it. I tried it. I thought it tasted really good but i don't think i could eat a whole bowl of it. It was too sweet. The Octopus was excellent! The Spicy sausage with fig was amazing. This is a definite thing to order. The pistachio crusted pork chop was very good. I didn't love the risotto. If i'm ever in the area and have a lot of time to sit and eat, I would definitely come back.

The restaurant is not to be missed either--food is excellent, portions good especially for the price, and the service friendly and accomodating. It's cozy without being too dated or chintzy, a tricky balance for many inns. Every room has a fridge, which may not show up in the room descriptions online. Above all, it's the rare hotel where you really feel like the stay was a great value for your money. My only suggestions would be brighter lighting in the rooms, more varied coffees with breakfast (hard to suggest when Irving Farm is steps away, though!), and maybe extra blankets in each room during the colder months. Above all, it's a great place for people of all ages and needs to stay and enjoy the region!
