It had been a while since I last took anything in for dry cleaning, especially after my previous…read morecleaner suddenly disappeared. I decided to try Jack Brown Cleaners, and I liked that it is conveniently located in the HEB plaza. I brought in three men's long‑sleeve shirts, two white and one print. My husband always prefers extra starch. When I asked about having the collars treated, the response was surprisingly indifferent. The counter person said, "They will do what they do." I learned the items are sent offsite to San Antonio, so I was not sure what to expect. To my surprise, the shirts were ready the next day. They were cleaned and starched. When I asked again about the collar treatment, the counter person mentioned he was the one who sprays the treatment and that I could look at the shirts, but it is what it is. Aside from the strange interaction and the unclear approach to collar care, the speed, price, and location make this a cleaner I would return to.

Do Not Bring Your Dry Cleaning Here! I thought, what can they do to a white cotton women's shirt…read more Answer, plenty. The collar was ironed flat and there was a stain by the collar. I paid the $10 and said this needs to be redone. They took it back, I received a text from the manager thanking me for my business. I replied with what happened. No response from him. Two days later I was texted my shirt was ready. NOTHING was done! The stain still there, the collar still flat. What they did successfully was make me mad enough to share a review and never go back.

It seems that some internal miscommunication was the underlying reason for their previous non-reply. At this time I have no negative issues with the company, it's staff, or the quality of their work. Moreover, I now (without hesitation) strongly recommend Comet Cleaners of NB, TX. for your laundry and dry cleaning needs.

Been coming here for 2+ years now. Never had an issue until today and over a misunderstanding…read more Clothes have a barcode on them so it's easy on the people working there and the customer. Pants are always heavy starched for work. picked them up and they were pressed only. Not a big deal. Called comet to explain and asked if I could bring them back so they can be heavy starched. The lady insisted that's how my wife told them to do it. My wife said that wasn't the case but regardless of the misunderstanding I wanted to bring them back so they could be done how the notes are on file. Got a call back minute later by a different lady and she was upset and being confrontational about that's what your wife said to do. It got to a point quickly I asked if it's that big of a deal should I just go somewhere else and she said yes that be best. It's obvious she is having a bad day I get it but hope she reads this and provides better service going forward. Don't think what I was asking was unreasonable and people do have misunderstandings but she wouldn't let it go. First comment I've ever left so that should say something to you if you read it.

BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE!…read more I have never written a review of any kind in the 10+ years of using Yelp. Thank you Cleaners on the Loop for making me do this... I took a few pairs of pants and dress shirts in for dry cleaning. They returned all but one of my clothing items in ok condition (didn't get out a few easy to clean stains on two shirts). However, I noticed a pair of pants was missing and, at the same time, another pair that wasn't mine. What I think happened is either they lost my pair and accidentally gave me someone else's pants, or they ruined my pair so bad that they were unrecognizable. When I addressed this with the owner (after almost a month of back and forth), he said he would 'have to take out a loan with the bank to pay me what the pants cost, $98). I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic, but he went on to say he wouldn't pay me the full cost but a depreciated value. What a joke - this is the worst cleaners I've ever been to. BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE!

I've used this cleaner twice. The first time a lovely older lady with a British accent assisted me…read more At the time I needed several items pressed and cleaned, and the hem of a pant leg repaired. The hem was the main reason I was here. The lady said she could fix the hem in a day. In a couple days I picked up my items and all was well. It was a bit more expensive than my normal cleaners but due to the hem being fixed so quickly I decided I'd return with more business. Fast forward a couple weeks. On Thursday, July 12th I brought in several items to be cleaned and pressed and I also brought in two pair of slacks that needed stitching repaired on the hem (one pant leg each). The young lady at the counter took my payment, gave me my ticket and said "it probably won't be ready until Monday". I said, no problem and I left. Monday afternoon my girlfriend stopped in to pick up my clothing. They said that it wasn't ready and that I dropped off the items too late on Thursday for it to be ready on Monday. No big deal, it happens. I showed up on Wednesday to pick up my items. I asked the same young lady if the hems had been repaired and she said yes. I quickly checked one of the pant legs and it seemed that she was correct. I did not check thoroughly enough. As it turned out when I got home I discovered the hems on both pants were not repaired. They were simply folded in and pressed. I brought the pants back in on Thursday and asked the young lady, the same young lady that had helped me both times previously, why they were not fixed. Her response was, " I thought you checked them yesterday" as if it was my responsibility. She then got on the phone and called who I assume was the store owner. She came back to me and said it would be $13 for each hem repair. I asked her why it wasn't done in the first place and was I charged? She said "I don't know, I wrote it down but I didn't charge you for it." She did apologize but I won't be back. There are 4 cleaners closer to my home that I can try. Plus the parking situation is horrible.
