I've used this cleaner twice. The first time a lovely older lady with a British accent assisted me. At the time I needed several items pressed and cleaned, and the hem of a pant leg repaired. The hem was the main reason I was here. The lady said she could fix the hem in a day. In a couple days I picked up my items and all was well. It was a bit more expensive than my normal cleaners but due to the hem being fixed so quickly I decided I'd return with more business.
Fast forward a couple weeks. On Thursday, July 12th I brought in several items to be cleaned and pressed and I also brought in two pair of slacks that needed stitching repaired on the hem (one pant leg each). The young lady at the counter took my payment, gave me my ticket and said "it probably won't be ready until Monday". I said, no problem and I left. Monday afternoon my girlfriend stopped in to pick up my clothing. They said that it wasn't ready and that I dropped off the items too late on Thursday for it to be ready on Monday. No big deal, it happens. I showed up on Wednesday to pick up my items. I asked the same young lady if the hems had been repaired and she said yes. I quickly checked one of the pant legs and it seemed that she was correct. I did not check thoroughly enough. As it turned out when I got home I discovered the hems on both pants were not repaired. They were simply folded in and pressed.
I brought the pants back in on Thursday and asked the young lady, the same young lady that had helped me both times previously, why they were not fixed. Her response was, " I thought you checked them yesterday" as if it was my responsibility. She then got on the phone and called who I assume was the store owner. She came back to me and said it would be $13 for each hem repair. I asked her why it wasn't done in the first place and was I charged? She said "I don't know, I wrote it down but I didn't charge you for it."
She did apologize but I won't be back. There are 4 cleaners closer to my home that I can try. Plus the parking situation is horrible. read more
