His second appointment he had his expander placed and it went great until it was time to make his next appointment. He was supposed to turn for 21 days and come back in 3 weeks for braces and chains, the earliest appointment they had was 7 weeks away! His contract was 18months, at this rate it would take 2.5-3years. So I immediately began looking for another orthodontist to transfer his care. I found another orthodontist around the corner and couldn't be more happy. Turns out he doesn't need braces or chains, he did need a lot more turns than the original 21, and his appliance was loose and was unwinding itself so it is now glued. I cancelled with this office and transferred care, his plan was decreased $2800 and the new office is only going to charge $500 for a retainer at a later point. However when I cancelled no one cared to ask why I had chosen to change care so soon after starting, the office really doesn't care about the patients. I spent the next few weeks trying to get an itemized bill for what they charged me for...turns out there isn't one, they gave me a paper that shows original contract price $4000, discounted to $1200, then a list of all of my payments! No list of ortho's fee, no list price for appliance fee. But when I began looking into bill their 0% interest payment plan ISN'T 0%, they told me my son's care would be $4000 but it was actually $3800 if paid in cash because they have a cash pay discount and then charge 2.87% on the $3800. I would NEVER recommend this practice to anyone!

These people made it easy and comfortable for my kiddos. They are very attentive and sensitive to the fears and trepidation that comes with little ones going to the dentist. They quickly develop a plan and help you and your kids see it through. Dr. Saucier is knowledgeable, quick, and compassionate. Her attention and ability to adjust on the fly is impressive. The people at the front desk, from reception to appointments and payments are professional, friendly and courteous. Bar none. Every one of them has a great personality and are ready to help you with anything. This is difficult to find at a dentist office. At least the hygienist would be a grump, right? Wrong. They have multiple hygienists and all are delicate and very helpful with your children. If you care about your kids' dental health, and want a guilt-free place to bring them for their oral care, where they will care for your kids as much as you do, bring them to LSPD. Do we not realize, these people are key to making kissing our lovers more palatable (bonus if you caught the play on words)? Considering I what I just wrote, I've pondered this dilemma many times. So in essence I'm more apt to cut some slack in these regards. Naturally I had an issue where my crown that I just got a year ago popped off. I called Ideal Dental as they're in network for me and they scheduled me within two days, which made me happy. Next all paperwork was done from my house which made the visit even quicker. Walking in the facility is clean and as welcoming as a dentist office can be. The staff is nice and everyone seems knowledgeable of their jobs. I was naive enough to believe they could just pop my crown back on however Ideal was very diplomatic and caring in letting me know the issues that they found with my tooth. The only qualms I had is I had to watch Golden Girls while they played in my mouth. Luckily they let me change the channel so I asked if they had the playboy channel, joking of course. They were extremely thorough with saving my tooth however the whole ordeal took 3 hours. While I'm not an expert in teeth I thought the appointment ran long and I left feeling like I got punched in the face by a midget in a "tapout" shirt. Overall, the process was detailed and their work which included numerous xrays remedied my situation. The price was disappointing however that was more due to my crown coming off and having to get another one as I was in Kansas City when I got the last one so the warranty didn't roll over. I believe you can have faith in this practice that they have your health in mind when taking care of you. While I hate going back, I trust them.
