As someone with a not so great history with dentists, I am sighing with relief that I have now found a permanent dentist. Dr. Ross is genuinely so kind and caring, the hygienist, and all the techs are just so wonderful. Dr. Ross does a DAMN good job. When I went for my 1st appt about a month ago I had something wrong with almost every tooth. I just had my third appointment today, and I am actually smiling again because I have gained my confidence back. We still have work to be done, but instead of dreading it I am looking forward to it! Their pricing is super fair, I have been ripped off in the past. The receptionist is so sweet, their entire office staff are top notch! I will now be bringing my 13 year old here and recommending them to anyone who will listen! They also got me in RIGHT away, never a wait time. Dr. Ross is quick yet very efficient, got some extra work done because he had time, he is so so caring, his work is impeccable, and I still have temporary crowns! My mom went to the Dental Studio after I recommended them to her. But I regret it now! The receptionist was so rude to her after she came from another doctors appointment and told them she could not stay for her second appointment . This receptionist had no empathy and threaten to charge her $50 for cancelling her second appointment that was right after her first. After the fact they had to reschedule her the day prior because they did not have a hygienist (saying she had to leave due to an emergency). But they had no sympathy for my mom and made her feel bad. Not to mention they waited until after she had shown up for her appointment to tell her they didn't have a hygienist the previous day. Never has anyone been so rude. She cried the whole time she was getting her teeth cleaned bc of how the receptionist treated her. Never going back!!!! read more

Dr. Koeppen and his staff are awesome! They're very informative about what is being done and they're gentle too. They are all extremely nice! I had brought my baby in with me and she started fussing during my procedure, so the staff offered to watch my baby and play with her! Do to having so many bad dental providers, I've developed a fear in dental care. Ended up thousands of dollars in debt and still resulting in losing half of my teeth. This is the best dentist experience I have ever had. Everyone on staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. I've had three different appointments and each was a good experience. I felt like I was given all the information I needed to make good decisions regarding some dental issues that I had. I never felt pressured to make a decision one way or the other. The dentist was very forthright and trustworthy. They have very up-to-date technology and I think I had the fasted dental cleaning of my life! I also enjoy being able to watch tv while having the work done. Dr. Koeppen and his staff are amazing! We just changed dental offices due to new insurance, and I couldn't be happier. We were able to print out the new patient paperwork at home and bring it in with us. I brought my kids in for routine cleanings, and my baby's first visit. They were all so great with the kids, explaining what they needed to improve on and why, but also telling them what they were doing good, and what to be ready for. I disagree with many of the reviews here, first of all they don't do root canals so I don't understand some reviews here. I must say I am very happy with this place, we have always been treated with respect. Dr. Ross has always been so helpful, & very professional. My husband was recently there because he needed a root canal he was refereed to another place but the staff made the appointment for him, that very same day by 3 pm my husband was already home, root canal done. The staff and Dr. Ross have always been respectful and helpful, I have sent anyone that has needed a Dentist to Dental Studio because they are not going to empty your pockets. Before even meeting the Dr. Used the online scheduling tool and thought I had an appt scheduled, no biggie right. Sent in my paperwork and insurance card and received a call from a woman in the office, wish I would have gotten her name now but I missed that as she was so rude and attacking. Instead of saying something like I think we had a misunderstanding I was attacked and spoken to as if I had no brain. Letting me know that the appt was indeed NOT scheduled. I am disappointed not to try and use a more local Dr but your staff should be better with customer service if you intend to bring in new patients and retain them. I won't be going back. I was quoted one figure for a root canal and crown, but ended up paying double that amount. I was told by their accounts person, halfway through the whole procedure (the root canal part had been done and I had the temporary crown, in that week or so waiting for the permanent to arrive) that my insurance wasn't going to pay for the crown after all. I would like to have had that information before embarking on a lengthy, uncomfortable procedure. This came at a very bad time for me, financially. I had been getting heat and cold sensitivity, but I would just have lived with it if I'd known it was going to cost me $1000. read more

The worst office ever. Only giving them a 1 because they got us in the same day. Husband has a exposed root and in so much pain. They wouldn't give any pain meds. Went back in to complain and they finally agreed to call something in. After waiting over an hour at heb...heb told us they cancelled the pain meds. These people suck. Just what I look for in a dentist! I have to admit, I dread the dentist with all my heart, so finding one that makes the trip as painless as possible is a true treasure for me. The staff and Dr. Koeppen are really friendy, but more importantly, they make you feel comfortable and relaxed (a MUST for a visit to the dentist). They have flat screen TVs with huge selection of channels so you can be distracted from actually being in a dentist chair. Another huge plus is the location - HEB, Walmart, Walgreens, etc. right near by so I could get some errands done in one trip! 5 stars and definitely recommend to anyone! read more

The dental experience was good. They are quite slow but friendly. My problem with this dentist is the accounting work done by one of the dental staff. I had an error on my account and I had to make an appointment to talk about the errors and when I got there the dental assistant (also the accounting person?) was not willing to listen to what I had to say. She insisted that she was right even after I did my own reconciliation of the account and showed that I was due a refund. I found an error that they had made and submitted to the insurance company. Plus I had a procedure done which the insurance company didn't pay and she said that they would take it off my account. Her answer was to draw a line through the number on my statement and said see it is taken off. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that it wasn't taken off my account without reversing the entry. I just had to walk out without my refund before I blew a gasket. I will never use this dentist again. My money is important to me and should be to you too. If your account balance being incorrect isn't an issue with you then by all means go to this dental office. read more

I have actually never written a negative review on yelp but I want to make the public aware of the problems with this office. After seeing Dr. Koeppen I was told that I needed 11 teeth treated. 9 cavities filled or fillings replaced and two crowns. I have been going to the same dentist regularly for 20 years until our insurance forced me to change. I actually went back to that same dentist for a second opinion and he completely disagreed with Dr. Koeppen and only treated two of my teeth. As a side note, when asked to email my X-rays over to my old dentist, the office said they would send them and never did. They stopped responding to my requests and also gave the other dentists office the run around on the phone. Then I went to get my wisdom teeth out after Dr. Koeppens strong recommendation. The oral surgeon he referred me to said I shouldn't get them out--that getting them removed would cause more damage and come with much higher risks. The most frustrating thing is that the oral surgeon had to take all new X-rays because the Dental Studio supposedly 'lost' my X-rays that had been done 2 months prior. I continue to receive marketing materials in the mail from Dr. Koeppen and on email saying 'Don't forget to come in and get your 11 procedures done before the end of the year'....I think not. read more

It wasn't a horrible experience, I just feel that I have been to better dentists. The few times I have been here, they tend to take forever. The ladies in the front are nice but I wasn't too impressed with the place. During my cleaning, I had to sit while the dental hygienist cleaned my teeth as she was breathing in me with her breath smelling like her taco lunch. Not too appealing. Also, after my crown was out in, it wasn't properly placed so I had to go to another dentist to get it fixed. It wasn't horrible, but like I said, it could have been a lot better. read more

I was extremely happy with my experience! The entire staff is knowledgable and courteous. The office has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. There is even a separate play area for children. A few hours after my appointment Dr. Koeppen called me personally to see how I was feeling. I also take my son there. He gets very nervous at the dentist but is comfortable with Alex (dental assistant) and Dr. Koeppen. The exam rooms have televisions that distract him from what's going on. Alex took the extra time to explain each tool and what it does. My son was laughing most of the time. My family and I will happily continue to be patients here! Quality care at it's best!! read more

Absolutely would not recommend this dentist office to anyone! I had a root canal to be done and called them to see if they had any availability. First, the lady at the front desk (which is nice but very incompetent to do her job in my opinion), told me she needed to speak with her manager and get back with me. So I waited for her call. An hour later nothing, so I took the initiative to call her back only to find out that she had forgotten to ask. When she did get back with me she gave me a time which made me happy. I was working so I had to notify my manager. Then, she called back and changed the time. Well, I had to notify my manager once again and work it out with my other co-worker. The final call the front lady gave me was to notify me that their whole system was down and they weren't able to accept credit cards only cash. Since I was going to use my credit card for payment and didn't have the cash at the time, I asked if they could get a copy of my card/ or sign a waiver saying that I do have method of paying but since their system was down they have to collect it when it goes back up. Sounds fair enough right? I know that's not in their policy but since it was their system acting up couldn't they offer a waiver for that one day?! Anyways, I showed up with my fiance and told them myself that he was going to go get the money while I went through the lengthy procedure. NOBODY asked me to get the money ASAP or else they wouldn't be able to start the procedure. Well, my fiance goes and gets some food and returns with $300 (which he had cash) and tells the lady if he can eat and give part of the fee and go back to his bank for the rest while I was being worked on. The staff told him it was ok "no worries". So he assumed that they were working on my root canal already. The same lady that told him it was ok to pay the $300 that he had in his pocket and get the rest later before I left the building came to my room and said, "There has been a problem, so your boyfriend is eating in the lobby and he doesn't have the full amount. The doctor is running behind so he won't be able to see you." I told her that was ridiculous if that was the only reason why the dentist wouldn't start the procedure, I wasn't going to leave without paying them. So, I told my fiance to go get the money ASAP (which threw him off since they had just told him that it was "ok" to pay the rest before we left the clinic). My fiance is not one to keep quiet so he told the staff off. We didn't get any apologies, nothing. I understand if the doctor was running behind but then they should NOT have overbooked me, especially since I had explained to them that I was at work and I had to notify my manager to leave early. I work at a doctor's office so I understand that sometimes it gets kinda busy and people make mistakes. But our staff DOES value our patients and apologizes when something is not fully explained or clarified or if something is not working on our end then we make exceptions to deliver the best care possible. If it was all based on not having the full amount for the root canal at time of service, then they are reliable for not making it clear at the beginning when we first entered that office and sat down to fill out paperwork. They had plenty of time to let us know that the full amount was expected before they could even begin my root canal instead of them chatting away among each other. Anyways, I will never return to this place. They wasted my time and didn't show remorse at all. Plus, now I have to deal with this tooth pain because no one was open after I left. read more
