I needed a second opinion in regards to a impacted wisdom tooth, made an appointment with the oral surgeon, however was not informed that it could be a 2-3 hour wait. I sat in the extremely cold lobby for one hour. I started sneezing I started coughing and I said oh no, I can't do this. It actually took me a month to get this appointment and because of my personal circumstances I could not wait. I recall back in the 80s and early 90s waiting to see a doctor 2 to 3 hours but no I'm not gonna do that. There are too many oral surgeons out here that can see you within a 20 to 30 minute window. I left feeling horrible after my appointment. I left with feeling as if I had the worst teeth in my mouth. I was told I needed all this work amounting up to almost $8k. I also didn't get my teeth cleaned by them and I don't know why. I left there and felt so bad. I set another immediate appointment with another office. I went in and received testing and cleaning and received totally different results. These people will scan you for cavities and crowns to make money off of you. I will NOT return. I went in for a tooth implant procedure today. Dr. Bruce Murphy did such a great job I did not feel a thing! His assistant Evelyn made me feel welcomed and was able to answer my questions. Dr. Bruce Murphy numbed my tooth but it was just enough where my mouth did not feel droopy at all and I was even able to eat after. Not a good dentist office to go to. First, I had the same service done 4-5 times. It seems as if they don't really know what they're doing. My most recent issue with this dental office is they charged me for radiology films but won't give them to me. They say they "don't have the technology" to give me a copy which doesn't make any sense. I need the records for another dentist to review and they won't even send the records to the new dentist either. They charged me for them, so legally I have a right to a copy of my records. Then they told the new dentist I never took radiology so they have nothing to send. I've had to go as far as file a legal suit to get them to give me my records. This office is a lie and a scam in my opinion. This is honestly the worst dental office I've ever dealt with and wouldnt recommend them to anyone. read more

On June 19th, 2023, I went into Oak Park Dental Group with pain and was told that I had a cavity on one of my supporting teeth from my existing bridge. They suggested repairing the cavity and reinstalling the existing bridge. That was unsuccessful and I was told they needed to make a new bridge which they took multiple impressions. A temporary bridge was installed. During that time, I had to go in four times due to the temporary bridge falling off and to have it reinstalled. I received a call that the new bridge was ready. I went in to get it installed, and that's when they realized that the bridge was made wrong. They took multiple impressions and realized that I needed one of the supporting teeth built up to be able to grab the bridge. They referred me to a specialist with the Camilo Dental Specialist office. Camilo Dental specialist office did the tooth build-up. They referred me back to Oak Park Dental Group. I had new impressions made again for the new bridge and they installed a new temporary bridge. This temporary bridge also continued to fall off and I had to have it reinstalled again 3 times. At that point, they realized that the built-up tooth would not work to support the new bridge. They referred me once again to Camilo Dental Specialist to get a stud installed. The specialist installed the stud, and I was referred to Oak Park Dental Group to complete the work. Oak Park Dental Group attempted to make new impressions, during the process of removing the temporary bridge, they removed the stud that was just installed by the specialist. Where the stud was removed, they temporarily filled the root canal. They also placed a temporary cap on the other supporting tooth for the bridge. I still have discomfort in both teeth. At this time, I was told that they would have an action plan put together after they meet with the board members to find a resolution and they would get back to me in a couple of days. This was 2 months ago. During that time, I have personally left messages and have spoken to the office manager multiple times and the regional manager, and they continue to brush me off. They continue to say I will call you back tomorrow with an answer, which has not happened. I also stopped by the office and was told the same thing. Thirteen visits later, I am back to where I started with no stud and no bridge. I have had many visits that caused much frustration and disappointment with false promises. This has taken much of my valuable time as well as my money for payments, Plus insurance coverage. After four months with so many assumptions on how to complete the work accurately and with so many issues, I prefer going to get the work done elsewhere. I would not use this dental organization. I cannot believe that they send bills older than 2 years! This has happened for three consecutive years. If you can't send a bill within 30 days of service then you have bad business acumen. This is disturbing to me as I feel like billing me between $20-40 every year for a two year old service is a scam. Do they do this to all of their customers? Can you imagine how much money they collect from this scam? How am I supposed to remember this service and where have the monthly bills been? I have lived at the same location for over 15 years so they can't use the "wrong address" excuse. I have other issues with this dentist office but I moved my business away so no need to cry over spilled milk, but this billing scam is just that, a scam. Great Dentist Office!! I don't know anybody who just gets all giddy and filled with joy when it's time to go to the dentist and I am one of those people. I HATE it! Especially when I know I haven't been taking care of my teeth as I should (flossing, brushing twice a day) but man I swear the dentists and hygienist here are great. They clean the hell out of your teeth! I had Allie who is one of the hygienist and she was great! My teeth feel so good. Nice and smooth. I also found out I have a cavity and will be coming back after the holidays to get that addressed as well. The dentist came in to speak with me about that and they are so informative and high tech. They pull your teeth X-rays up on this television monitor in the room to show you exactly how your teeth look and your problem areas. I just love how modern they are with teeth care. The office is super clean, bright, and warm. Oh, and they give you a little goodie bag after they're done. A toothbrush, floss and toothpaste. I love it! Now I know how my daughter feel whenever she gets a goodie bag...lol! I've found a new Dental home and have already made my next appointment. read more

Beware, .This is a dishonest dental practice. To be fully explained, and not just by the billing department. The dental care also. I certainly need procedures to be done by the Dentist and not his very young Dental Hygienist . The practice employs highly questionable (bordering on unethical) business practices and does not provide full disclosure to patients about options. In particular, the approach to billing for new patient evaluations and communication between office staff and new patients is intentionally misleading. We are former patients and have transitioned to other dental care providers. Be very careful and ask lots of questions!. Beware of their shady business practices... This office is worth the drive. I have butter for teeth. Oak Park Dental is the amalgam of what you hope to find when you need dental care. General dentistry, ortho, periodontal, hygene etc in one office and with my chart there. I'm grateful for their assistance. This office is not the mothball smelling dental office of nightmares. The Dr.'s I have seen are precise, thoughtful, professional and personable. Dr. Yue: 2 years and my braces are off! Dr. Yue ensured my teeth are healthy and look great! My goal was to keep my natural teeth, for life. The results were ideal--no protruding buck teeth or gaps. (This has happened to a few of my friends with adult braces.) My process was one with: gum surgery to make sure my lower teeth could handle the braces and an extraction. I smile so much more. My appointments were on time and easily scheduled. It's my daughter's turn and I'll drive the 25minutes for the precision and treatment Dr.Yue and his assistants provide. There was one assistant that seemed to lack confidence and was dropping utensils in my mouth. I requested she stop and Dr. Yue came in immediately. No drama. Just took care of it. What I wish I would have done differently: Get the metal on the top and bottom. The ceramic didn't make that big of a difference. I wish I wouldn't have gotten dates for removal into my mind. It went longer for me. It might for you, too. Wear the bloody rubber bands all the time. Yes, they give you headaches. Your teeth are moving. That's epic considering where they are. Dr. Szrom-Gavin: Who can make two root canals in an hour a hiccup and not a punch to the face? She did. It's not magic. You have have to get the bacteria out. It can hurt. She made it hurt less and made sure they were done properly. While having work done while I was expecting and nursing, Dr. Szrom provided excellent care and options for my pain management that was safer for my baby. Connie: I'm sorry. I brush. I floss. It's genetic. I swear it is. It is, right? They didn't even have fruit snacks when I was a child. You grin and dig in. My teeth look and feel great when you've finished. Assistants: You're nimble, patient and kind. I stress patient and kind. Thank you so much. If you were gorillas with pliers this office would be empty. Thankfully, you are fabulous. Dr Roshan and his staff are wonderful! They are all about making the best experience for their patients. Dr. Roshan has such a uplifting personality that leaves you feeling you are in very good hands. I could've fell asleep in the chair I was so comfortable durning my fillings. They even give me shots to numb my gums for my cleanings because of my sensitive receding gum line. I've never had a billing issue at this office. The front desk staff is always extremely accommodating and helpful. I don't know what other yelpers are complaining about. I know this office used to be owned by a different dentist so maybe that's why others had problems. All in all I love this dental office and will continue to be a loyal customer! read more

They told me my insurance would be covering my fillings but at the end of the day I still ended up with an unexpected bill of almost $400. Also they recommended removal of my wisdom teeth but after receiving a 2nd opinion from an oral surgeon I was told there wasn't any immediate reason they needed to be removed. I agree with Shannon that the office is worth the drive. Their costs are reasonable and the staff is great! They always have a smile and willing to answer any questions that I may have. Since I was a child I despised going to the dentist office. I tend to have a gag reflex and need the suction often. But the staff here understood and always had it ready. They even offered me tinted glasses so that the bright light didn't bother me and I thought that was genius! A few months back I had a dental emergency for a filling and I was able to be squeezed into an appointment almost immediately when I called to see what I could get. The Dr's understood I needed to have that done asap because it was a filling for a tooth that was front and center and affected my smile and I was really self-conscious of the placement of it. I was in and out in under an hour and was still able to make it to work without having to take a half day. I am really grateful to have finally found a Dentist office I actually look forward to going to now, especially since I wasn't a fan going to one when I was younger. A couple of added bonus's: Free internet and coffee in the waiting room. Also each dental room has its own TV, so you can watch what you want but also helpful when the Dr. is trying to show the x-rays or explain something. I need to circle back after a bad customer service experience AND say how Oak Park Dental Group made it RIGHT! First the business owner responded promptly by emailing me. The office manager left me a voicemail promptly, listened to what occurred and attempted to identify the core of the issue for future resolution. My insurance was verified and my I was able to pay my co-pay (not the entire cost). It was explained why the insurance I had on file was not referred to during my initial visit. I have my temporary crown - perfect fit, no pain even after the meds wore off. All is good and I am grateful that this group of dentists exist. I have been going to this dental office for over 12 years and I will not be returning. The service has gone down the drain. The office was bought approximately 3 years ago and they have hired several young, silly and unprofessional staff to take over. The first encounter is with the receptionist who is not versed in insurance plans, she spends her time texting on her cell phone instead of learning her job. Dental Hygienist Connie was the last of the last and the only reason I continued to keep my services at this clinic, she is leaving, so there is no reason for me to continue services at this unprofessional establishment. read more

Let me start off by saying that Dr Kheiri and the hygienist I've seen are excellent. I would give them 5 stars and I am disappointed that I will now need to find a new dentist. This review is for the practice in general and two recent negative experiences. The first was a billing issue in which I was offered a free consultation for Invisalign by their financial coordinator. When my statement arrived in the mail I realized they had billed my insurance company for it anyways. I spoke with the office about it and was assured that these charges would be refunded. I can understand a billing mistake but 2 months later this has still gone unresolved. The second involves my recent appointment. I arrived at 11am for an 11:15 appt. At 12:20 I was called on and taken to an exam room. After a few moments on the computer the assistant informs me she will have to take X-rays again because the computer is "acting screwy" and will not allow her to pull up my records. At that same time another assistant comes in and says she'll have to actually send me back out to the lobby because she needs the room for someone else. We do xrays and instead I'm taken to another exam room, seated and dressed with the splash napkin. This is at 12:35. I sit there for an additional 2 hours only to be checked in on a few times and told sorry should only be a few more minutes. Finally at 2:25pm a Dr walks in and introduces himself by saying "you here for a consultation?". Seeing the Dr for the first time 3 hours after a scheduled appointment is unacceptable, 3 hours late and questioning why I'm even there is unreasonable. I was there for an extraction. I had to get up and walk out. I should have walked out during the first hour after witnessing 2 other patients complain about time. I lost an entire afternoon and half days work so that is on me. Unfortunately what is also on me is to now go out and find a new dental practice. I would also like to add that at no point did they ever mention that there would be any type of excessive wait, any wait for that matter. When I did ask how much longer I was assured repeatedly that it would just be a few more minutes and that I should be next. I was eventually told that they were running behind because they had trouble waking a patient from anesthesia. 3 hours to wake a patient? When the office manager was asked why they would let a patient wait 3 hours in a chair before ever seeing the Dr she said that it was my choice to do so. If I had known that at check in I would have chose to reschedule. Extremely unprofessional response. It is also very clear to me that this surgeon and his staff over scheduled their day and then strung their patients along for an entire afternoon. $$$ read more

Dr Yue is the most arrogant dentist in the whole building, actually everyone pretty much is. This business is money hungry. I had a perfect smile with a retainer on my bottom teeth, they removed my retainer and messed up all my teeth with braces and wouldn't do anything until I paid up and I was the age of a minor. The Oak Park Dental Group is hands down the best dentist office I've been to. The staff are all very friendly and thoughtful. If I have random questions about dental care, my teeth, or a procedure that I want, they're so patient with me and do not push any services that I don't absolutely need. Also, I never wait a long time to be called for my appointment (which I wouldn't mind because I like sipping tea while watching the Food Network in the waiting room) and they send you texts to remind you of your appointment. Because of their stellar service I decided to get braces through the Oak Park Dental Group. It is very convenient to have both my dentist and orthodontist under the same roof. When I had my expander installed, I went a little overboard on vacation and it became loose. I called them thinking I'd have to wait until Monday, but my orthodontist, Dr. Yue, met me within two hours on a Sunday to fix the issue. I felt so bad, but he reassured me thats why they're here and not to hesitate to call them if I have any problems. I never thought I'd have such a wonderful experience with dentists and dental hygienists and I'm normally not one to write reviews, but everyone in this office is great. Britney at the front desk also helped out and took her time in explaining everything my insurance covered very in detail. The price also seemed reasonable. I too received a quite large bill for services since February of 2016. When I called the office I was told I have to call the insurance. So, basically I had to figure out why they are so incompetent and can't keep their books straight. There are multiple issues with this bill. Starting with the fact that it just says "forward balance" in the invoice explanation. To make a long story short it has been 2 weeks since I placed my first call to them to figure this out, and I am still waiting for someone to call me back from their corporate office that apparently has no way of reaching them. (as in no phone number and no name). Complete incompetence, lack of customer service, and honestly... they have changed their doctors so many times in the last few years, that you can't even keep up. read more

This office is fantastic. The staff is very knowledgable and courteous, and they really go out of their way to ensure the patient's best interest and experience are always the top priority. I was incredibly impressed with their professionalism, and the level of technology in the office made for a very high quality, yet speedy, visit. I just was sent a bill from them for my regular check ups dating back to November of 2015. That is over 2.5 years ago. Every time I left the office i asked if I needed to make a payment and was told it was covered by insurance. Now, I call the office to dispute this very bad business practice, and I'm told that the corporate office has just taken over their billing department. Well no kidding! If they weren't billing people over the years, then how is this place in business? It shouldn't be. I agree this is a total SCAM. So unprofessional. I was told that my insurance wasn't in network...well, if I had been told that at the time of service, I would not have continued going here!! This place, it's CEO and its staff are heaven sent. They offered free cleanings as a Christmas event to those who couldn't afford it. They are the nicest people. They treated every person like family. They were genuinely concerned about everyone and those who had to wait outside in the cold because there were no more chairs inside. They offered free coffee. Very nice environment. I hope everyone sees what they're doing for people and that other businesses follow in their footsteps during these hard times. Nowadays dental care is treated like a luxury, rather than a standard health care service. Even if you have insurance, things like deep cleanings can cost $200 per each section of the mouth. This place recognizes the need and is addressing it as human beings. Hope they set a precedent. God bless them. read more

I had no problem with this office until recently! I was a patient of Dr. Vouziers and she replaced bonding on my front teeth with crowns before my wedding. She did a great job (so I thought), however, one of the crowns fell out recently. I called the office on a Saturday and the answering service stated the office was open. When I got to the office, no one was there! I spoke to the doctor on call, and he stated that I could make an appointment for the following week. When I called to speak to a manager or Dr. Vouziers, I couldn't get in touch with anyone. No one has ever called me back, even after me calling several times! One of the receptionists even laughed when I explained what happened. Of course, I had to find another dentist to fix my tooth and somehow I have received a bill for $111 when I haven't been to the office in almost a year! Horrible customer service! read more

Lets start off by saying that I HATE going to the dentist. Nothing against the workers but I have never liked going even as a kid. I ended up going for a cleaning last year and was very pleased at how nice everyone was there. I also went earlier this year and ended up needing some dental work-you could only imagine how nervous I was. After taking with Dr. Hart she assured me that I would be fine and made me less anxious about the procedure. Boy was she right. The procedure was painless and she and her assistant were always asking if I needed a break or felt any pain. After dealing with these people on and off for the last 3 months (due to follow up with my procedure) I can honestly say that my anxiety has definitely gone down.
