Dr. Polivka called me and talked for a very long time, re: game plan, talked with our dentist, figured out a two step plan to minimize time in braces, and fill in gaps as we progressed. My initial service was in 2005-2007. Well, about 10 years ago, the permanent retainer on my upper teeth broke off on the right side, and slowly my teeth shifted to the point that I was unhappy with my smile. We met with Tracy for a tour of their beautiful clinic and then a patient education session regarding the types of treatments offered and the process of the consultation. My son then got a X-ray. Then we met with Dr. Jim Nudera for the examination -very comprehensive- and learned that my son doesn't require intervention after all! Dr. Nudera explained everything in great detail and showed both my son and I the reason for the dentist's concern and how the issue doesn't require orthodontics. What a relief! Oh, and the whole consultation- including the X-ray- was FREE!! Tracy said she'll send a note to my son's dentist and even gave us a copy of the X-ray. I'm 66 years old and take meds (water pill)for HBP, so that wasn't fun. I was embarrassed and kept apologizing for the inconvenience. I got up from the chair about 5 times within 2 hours. The Doctor and his assistant were understanding but the time it took was too many teeth for one visit. I felt miserable. The local anesthesia administration was painless. The chair was inverted and my feet were higher than my head which made for a very uncomfortable visit to say the least. The kindness of the staff is on point, but after this visit It took me several hours to recover. 5th Appointment (2024) - Which was going to be a 1 hour visit and because of my Spinal Stenosis which flared up after cutting the grass, I decided to reschedule. I was then told via test message that basically I have breached the cancellation policy and to find another dentist. The exact message is shown below: "We need 48 hour notice." "We have inactivated you from our office please look for another dentist. We only allow 3 cancelled appt." As a side note, I was told that the reason for the cancellation fee is because the Dentist in only in the office once a week. Wow!! It makes me wonder why so many visits were done before any real work was done. All and all, not a bad experience, just not a great fit for me. I guess I'll have to find an office that wont invert me in the chair and not charge me so much for cancellations.

When I attempted to protect my PII and asked the office to use the insurance phone number to verify benefits, they suggested I pay out of pocket and submit a reimbursement claim to my insurance.
