It's not the first time we called L&H--we've used them before when we had issues with our furnace (our furnace is 27 years old but in excellent shape because we keep it well maintained.) We received a call back and were told that they couldn't find parts for a furnace that old and we would need to replace the entire furnace for approximately $5500. That was for a single stage Armstrong furnace. It would be more if we wanted to put in a two-stage furnace like the one we currently have. We called another shop for a second opinion and they came out and found some heater vents that were blocked, pushed a button to reset a circuit breaker on a blower fan (that we bought from L&H about 5 years ago!) and the problem was fixed. Total cost $80. The second repairman recommended we replace a flame sensor because it was slightly loose, but that wasn't a critical problem. He also said parts are readily available and ordered it for us to replace later. This is one of the parts L & H said was no longer available. We received a bill for about $200 from L & H. I called and spoke with them about what had transpired hoping they would (obviously!) waive the bill they sent us. They said they would take $50.00 off the bill and could not explain why they wanted to sell us a $5500 furnace instead of just pushing the circuit breaker button on the blower motor they sold us about 5 years ago. Even more amazing? L&H denied trying to sell us a new furnace. I repeated back the quote they gave us along with the brand name (Armstrong) and they STILL denied ever telling us we needed a new furnace. So, my experience with L & H was they tried to charge us $5500 while their competition charged $80 for the repair. Obviously we don't recommend them and have taken them off our preferred vendor list. Caveat Emptor!

    Stay away from this business! My entire cooling and heating system was left in an inoperable state…read more I called for a diagnostic of the air conditioner today because cool air isn't coming from the vents. I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!

My husband & I have better things to do than having an "agenda" as Harmonic accused. My husband was on a business trip. 3. I never called for an emergency repair. I did not switch from repair to cleaning & maintenance. I asked A. if C & M was possible afterward, unaware of 2 more with no heat. Harmonic called me "selfish" for this. 4. Any possibility A. and K. have unconscious biases towards people like me? They accused us of "manipulating" what? To save a few hundred bucks, while we spent in the tens of thousands at Harmonic's better former (aquired) company) you imagined up? 5. How could Harmonic accuse me of lying about my pain. Because I was able to and had to carry my 10 lb dog for a short moment because of her barkin? Why do I even have to explain my chronic severe back pain and mostly failed back surgeries and weak immune system? 6. I had no "agenda," but getting my heate fixed. I am not playing any "game" as accused. I am standing up for myself. 7. K.'s statistics on the number of my Goole reviews are false. 8. A. & K. are the ones who were "aggressive, harsh, unethical, disrespectful, and manipulative." Stop projecting and gaslighting. I wish I would remember to record conversations when I am alone with a person like A. Why did K pull down his absurd replies on Google?

    Wait until they discover their two-stage furnace was never installed correctly and that it's been…read morerunning on single stage for years. This was a serious oversight. If a two-stage furnace was wired or set up incorrectly and only ever ran in single-stage mode, the homeowner probably missed out on: Comfort benefits - two-stage furnaces are designed to run on low most of the time, giving more even heating and fewer temperature swings. Efficiency - the furnace likely used more gas and electricity than necessary. Longevity - constant high-stage operation puts more wear on components than normal two-stage cycling. It would worth having a qualified HVAC tech inspect the wiring, thermostat settings, and control board configuration.

We are both doing well, but the bill was a little bit painful for my wallet. (But very fair) Full Name: Lennox ML180UHE (Leni) Weight: 127lbs Height: 33" He is warm and already quite a comfort. I know we will enjoy years of happiness with Leni. The whole experience with Illiana HVAC was easy and professionally well done. My old furnace had a great life but reached the end of its service. Illiana understood my needs and got the install done in a few hours. Adam and Vaughan were fantastic with the installation. They were very professional, respectful and talked me through the whole process. I will use Illiana for all my HVAC needs.
