My wife expects 5 star resorts and she said this place exceeded the typical 5 star experience. The bedding, linens, amenities were awesome. They had live music and great food and drink options at the head cabin. Every cabin felt private and unique and the babbling creek and ponds along the Creekside were so relaxing to sit by with lots of Adirondack chairs overlooking the creek and rocking chairs on the cabin porches. We also chose this place because they allowed my Australian Shepard to come (only some cabins). The whole experience was amazing and only a 5 minute drive to the main strip. Don't miss a tour of Signor Vineyards, a 10 minute drive West. The most beautiful vineyard and cool experience!

After finding a couple of places closed, we called Barons Creekside. Best thing we ever did! We spoke to Lasca, who was actually out with her family for dinner Despite this, she got us set up in the cutest farmhouse, gave us directions and instructions to get in, and after her dinner was over, she stopped by to check if we needed anything. The excellent service did did not stop there. We were treated like family, and we really enjoyed walking the beautiful, scenic grounds and hanging out at "The Club" on property! Next time we go to Fredericksburg, we know where we will stay - at Barons Creekside!

We loved that they have fully equipped cabins: a frying pan, pot, and pan with which to cook; necessary cooking utensils; salt and pepper; microwave; coffee pot, and more! Fans make for quiet rooms. We enjoyed the clubhouse with the many rooms and kitchen, which can accommodate multiple groups of guests. Far enough from technology to focus on being with ourselves. And so happily, we could finally see stars. It's amazing how peaceful and recharging this place is. I highly recommend coming here and resting your soul.

The cabin had everything we needed including river access (Nol has given public access to the river as part of a lease agreement with TPWD). I didn't get to meet her but Mark says she's the best. Nol has 2 cabins for rent that are a stone's throw from the river (30-second walk). They are attractive, clean, well-furnished and they are both newly built. As someone who likes to kayak Central Texas' rivers I've had the opportunity to stay at numerous different riverfront cabins and I have to admit that Nol's are the best by a long shot. Sadly, I can be overly critical at times but these accommodations were excellent. The bed (queen-size) was plush and comfortable, the AC was frosty cold and her riverbank is private, quiet and beautiful. She even has one of the best swimming holes that I've experienced on the South Llano. The 100-year old pecan trees that line her stretch of the river provided us a comfortable respite from the hot July sun. If you like to fish and run the rapids like I do Nol's property sits on an ideal location on the river to float into or float out of when making kayak trips. Pro Tip #1: When you make your morning cup of coffee go sit down on river's edge upon her rock steps. It's quiet, relaxing and you'll have the whole river to yourself. Pro Tip #2: After your dinner meal go sit out on the porch and watch the wild turkeys, white-tailed deer and axis deer come out to feed. We saw more wild game and birds than you'd see at the zoo.
