First: Absolutely gorgeous lake view from our porch! To continue.... We loved that they have fully equipped cabins: a frying pan, pot, and pan with which to cook; necessary cooking utensils; salt and pepper; microwave; coffee pot, and more! Fans make for quiet rooms. And the heating and cooling work very well. The windows in our cabin were able to provide ample natural light. The quilts make a lovely, homey touch. All the beds were comfortable to sleep upon. We enjoyed the clubhouse with the many rooms and kitchen, which can accommodate multiple groups of guests. Far enough from technology to focus on being with ourselves. And so happily, we could finally see stars. It's amazing how peaceful and recharging this place is. I highly recommend coming here and resting your soul. read more

Love this place. This is our 3rd time at Willow Point Resort and we absolutely love it. The owners are the nicest people and make sure you have everything you need. The cabins are right on the beach and the area in front of your cabin becomes your private area/beach. Everyone are staying to themselves and social distance. If sitting on the beach and swimming in the water is not enough, then you can rent kayaks, canoes, paddle board, jet ski or pontoon boat. It's well worth it coming here every time. read more

I loved this place! The view is just beautiful!! The cabins are clean and really nice. They have a nice club house to go to, stocked with popcorn, games, and movies. They have several fire rings in the common area for s'mores or whatever. They have basketball and several outdoor games in this area as well. All the cabins are on the water and your view from the porch is the beautiful water. Each cabin also has a bbq pit, picnic table, and two lawn chairs. They also rent jet skis and all that for a really good price. I just wish there was an option for an extended stay. We went Mother's Day weekend and it was pretty chilly until the day we were checking out. The staff is really nice and I will definitely be coming back! read more

My wife and I went out yesterday with some friends and spent lots of time at Willow Point Resort. The scenery was great and staff is friendly. I can't wait to get a chance to rent one of the cabins they have available. Each cabin has its own personal little beachfront spot. They also have paddle boards and jet skis on site for rent which we went out on as well. THEY HAVE SOOOOO MUCH to do here. Pool, volleyball, fire pits, ladder golf, indoor amenities. We have visited this place 2 other times before this 3rd time and I have to say I will no longer come back. We had booked 2 cabins, 1 cabin for my family and 2nd cabin for my daughter and her husband. I say this to explain that this resort collected 2 cabin fees. My daughter was expecting which I explained to check-in owners. We checked in on a Saturday with a check out on a Monday. Saturday went without a hitch, on Sunday morning my pregnant daughter did not feel good she text her doctor who informed her to go in to ER so she suddenly left before the office was open. Later that day I went into the office to explain that my daughter had to leave at 10am that morning and if there was anything they can do to her account to provide a credit or future discount that would be much appreciated. I was informed by the wife she would find out. We get the call that my daughter was in fact in labor we all needed to get to the hospital ASAP. It's now at 4pm and I head to the office to inform that we are needed to check out as well and again I ask is there anything we can do in this situation. I was not looking for a refund I was looking for perhaps a discount for the next reservation considering the circumstances. The wife informed me that she would email me since she knew we had visited twice before. Till this day, Aug. 23, 2022 we have not received an email back. The booking was July 30, 2022, I have emailed, called and no one has bother to say anything. If they could not provide a future discount then all they had to do was say something. But we have gotten nothing. I am shocked from lack of empathy from these owners. I thought this was a place my family would visit annually but because how they have handled this situation I will no longer be coming to this resort. Instead I will go on all social media platforms and continue to discourage people from booking this resort. This incident with my daughter was something that we did not plan for, she ended up losing her baby and it was NOT due to this resort it was something completely different but even after explaining our horrific ordeal we got nothing in return. Not I am sorry for your loss, NOTHING. There are other choices to stay in this area and I would highly suggest you rethink on staying here. read more

Had a wedding at the lake house this weekend. The house is beautiful. Enough room for 25 up to 27 ppl. Sleep wise. A cover porch,patio, a balcony. Walk down to the beach n water. Shade tree on the property. A very wholesome property. Plenty places to set,eat big kitchen. Roomy bathrooms which 4 of them. 5 bedrooms. One bedroom with two full size bed n full bathroom up stairs. No tv inside cabin/cottage but there's a club house where wifi and tv with dvd's and some games for the kids. We stayed at the Reunion Cabins and were disappointed. They are in need of some serious upgrading. Oven didn't work. Fridge didn't have a real freezer. Bathroom was tiny. Never got fresh towels in 3 nights. The website says there are canoes available for use, but they don't allow guests at the Reunion Cabins use them. That really made us feel like we were 2nd class citizens. I don't think we'll go back. read more

We visited over the 4th of July weekend - our first time out at what was a surprisingly close destination. After a weekend of swimming, jet skis, canoe mishaps and more, being close definitely made a difference when we dragged our weary - but happy - bodies back home to Austin. This may seem like a backhand compliment, but it really isn't. Willow Point Resort felt very much like the '80's movie version of summer camp life - cabins, common area, club house, and a cast of characters all too ready to create wacky and/or zany situations. The location is beautiful. Perhaps it's partially due to the amount of water we've had filling the lakes back up, but whatever the case, the view was spectacular from the beach. The cabins themselves are well maintained, stocked with almost everything you'd need, and ready to go. With the exception of the occasional douchebag neighbor, it's a pretty idyllic spot. A brief moment to discuss douchebag neighbors - most of the other guests kept to themselves for the most part. We ended up next to a very large group who quickly decided that our willow tree on the stretch of the beach in front of our cabin was the ideal spot for their family reunion. Fortunately we didn't have to brawl - Gwen talked with them and the situation was quickly rectified and we were back to enjoying the scenery, the cool water and the smell of BBQ wafting throughout. I'm a little amazed that Gwen and Bryan are able to manage the giant space almost completely by themselves - the property is huge and there are a lot of moving pieces. But we had everything we needed whenever we needed it. We also very much enjoyed renting a jet ski and taking our children out (rented from the resort). The lake feels vast enough that you can really open it up and not feel as though you're going to careen into another person. They also have other watercraft available (including the "free for all" canoes). Definitely a spot I'll want to come back to sometime - possibly even next summer. Hopefully the lake doesn't dry up by then! read more

We recently had a wedding weekend at Willow Point Resort in Buchanan Dam, TX. Gwen and Bryan, the owners, went out of their way to make the weekend wonderful for everyone. While it rained for my reception, we still managed to have the ceremony out under the willow trees before the downpour came. But even then, there are indoor options for eating either in the Lake House or if you rent Crockett Hall. The rustic setting at the lake is beautiful and the facilities are so much fun for everyone to hang out, relax, and even participate in some of the outdoor activities. We rented a pontoon / jet ski from Splash Boat Rentals for 4 hours, and while the lake level is low, we were able to swim and enjoy to lake. There's lots of room in the Lake House kitchen and the bedroom sizes are outstanding! Our guests who stayed in the cabins thought they were great too! Where do I start with this amazing resort?? The cost for what you get is amazing! You're right on the lake's shore and can even dock your boat or wave runner in the water just outside your cabin! The grounds are well kept and clean. There are several activities to do there. They provide a canoe free of charge for each cabin. The shore alogn the lake is sand, so you feel transported. There are several small towns close by with a winery, county theatre and the best BBQ. The owners Gwen and Brian and very helpful and friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about Willow Point! I grew up in Houston and have lived all over, but when it came time to get married I knew I wanted to get hitched in the Hill Country. At first we were looking on Lake Travis and LBJ for ideal proximity to Austin, but most of the venues cost way more than our budget and yet wouldn't allow us the freedom we wanted. I had never even been to Lake Buchanan before finding Willow Point online. We wanted a place where (ideally) our whole guest list could stay the weekend, where WE could choose the other vendors (DJ, caterer, flowers, etc) and where we weren't going to be nickle-and-dimed for how many forks or wine glasses we used. As soon as we saw the resort and met Gwen and Bryan, we felt a "bingo!" I was a little worried about having our guests drive from Austin Bergstrom Airport out to Lake B (most of our guests flew in & it's about an hour and 20 minute drive), but they happily did and they all had an amazing time. Some even said our wedding was one of the best they've ever been to. The resort itself is clean, well-maintained, lake front (even when Lake Buchanan's water level is low) and super charming. But what put it over the top was the proprietors, Gwen and Bryan. They consistently went above and beyond for us, and are two of the most genuine, friendly people I've met. I didn't know the area at all, but Gwen had a list of vendors to help me get started. The Lake Buchanan / Inks Lake area also has a ton to do - wineries, state parks, river cruises, amazing BBQ (of course) and super sweet small towns with boutiques and eateries. You don't have to go all the way to Marble Falls for a good restaurant - Burnet, Llano and Kingsland all have good options... you just won't find a Chili's or Olive Garden in these little towns. (Thank God.) In concurrence with the reviews below, you *do* have to plan ahead and give your guests a heads-up about groceries. The nearest H.E.B. (major grocery chain) is exactly 7.7 miles away in Kingsland, so it can feel far, but with a little planning not a big deal. My fiance and I also put some hot dogs, buns, condiments, chips, and charcoal in each cabin so guests would have *something* if they got in late and didn't get to a supermarket before. Whether for family vacation or a big event, Willow Point is a great choice. read more

Invited the extended family to join us for long weekend here, we rented both the large lake house and 3 cottages. Great time was had by all. Facilities in great shape and clean, lots of lawn games for entertainment when not in the water. Staff attentive to all inquiries and requests. We've done long weekends down at the coast. I absolutely loved my visit! We were there Nov 12-14th for my birthday celebration - and had the best time! Gwen and Bryan are welcoming and hospitable, made our stay feel like we were right at home! The weather was perfect, the cabins are adorable, and it's literally 10 steps away from the lake! There's so much to do from the campfires, the canoes, all the games, and jet skis and boats - I can't forget the bbq! We will definitely try and make this an annual get away! Our new favorite Getaway....we stayed in the cabin closest to the water. This was a quick mini vacation (long weekend)...and the cabin is so sweet. From breakfast on our porch, sipping coffee and watching the water, to evenings in chairs on the sand...our feet in the water. We love this place! It's right on the water and has great views. The cabins are small, but always clean and sleep a family of 4 easily. My group of 8 had a great time in the spacious cabin #43. The facility was picturesque. The cabin was very clean and well maintained and the teenagers loved all of the activities available (pool table, foosball, volleyball, ping pong not to mention swimming in the lake).
