I hired Statewide Remodeling through Home Depot, thinking the association would mean quality…read moreservice and professionalism. I was quoted over $12,000 for a very basic shower remodel, and while this was steep, I went forward assuming I'd be taken care of due to the Home Depot connection. The remodel was completed in July 2024, but within two months, the top hinge on the shower door failed, causing it to come off and rest dangerously on the floor. It took ten days of calling and messaging multiple contacts with no central point of communication before a technician finally arrived. The technician was shocked it took so long, calling it a major safety hazard. The real nightmare began in October when, less than a month after the first repair, the door started loosening again. After sending messages on Thursday and Friday with no response, the door shattered Saturday night while I was in the bathroom, leaving me with cuts on my legs. I sent photos to Statewide Remodeling with no immediate reply, and despite the injury and scattered glass, there was still no urgent response. By Monday, the same contact who had been unresponsive offered to replace the door "at no cost." Given that I had just had this remodel done, this response was insulting and inadequate. To make matters worse, glass was spread all over my bathroom in fine, hazardous shards. My daughter, who I asked to bring me shoes to leave the bathroom safely, was also cut. Who is responsible for the clean up of dangerous powder-like glass, there was no assistance offered, leaving us to manage this on our own. I went and met with a store manager manager at the Home Depot where I first met Statewide Remodeling, she asked me to send a detailed email with pictures etc, which I promptly sent, 4 days later no response from her or Home Depot. Despite my repeated calls, texts, and even multiple emails to the CEO, I've had no response. I do not trust the same people to come and put a new shower door up. This is a safety issue. This experience has been beyond frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider hiring Statewide Remodeling; my experience has shown they're unresponsive, unprofessional, and unsafe.

I am the Victim of a Wild Hair Project my Wife threw me at full speed this last week…read more We began with swapping the bathtubs for shower basins, compete with tiled walls, magnetic shower-head and glass doors. We also added in new cabinets. Cabinets To Go was recommended by a friend that has several rental properties and uses them exclusively. Ida welcomed us, sat us down and listened to what we were envisioning. The showroom had a modern style of quality cabinets in colors we had a hard time deciding upon. Annapolis Blue and A slate gray were our choices for both baths. Turn around on ordering the cabinets and receiving them was under two weeks and installation took about a day. Bennie, Seth and John were smooth, competent and a heck of a lot quieter than I thought they would be. They even packed out the cardboard the cabinets were shipped on. These cabinets look great. Word of caution. The faces of the drawers and doors are not drilled out and are not ready for pulls and handles. I am doing this task myself, but Bennie does offer that service at a separate fee per drill hole. Fit and finish are right up there with custom on-site manufacture cabinet shops at a reasonable price. I am going to use them when I get ready to update my kitchen. Ciao, Darrell

WARNING My countertop purchase was horrible....I checked…read morethe box to view slab before fabrication and they failed to call me. They cut it then called me and told me it was ready. When I told them I had checked the box to see the slab first and even had the sales person make a notation in the computer, they more or less said too bad. I then asked them to send pictures of the cut slab. When they did, It had a large gray vain running through it and it looked nothing like the picture of the slab that I ordered from. The picture I ordered from was cream colored with light soft gold veining. I had multiple conversations with Sherry Pennier and she was not the nicest person to deal with. She told me that I would have to buy another slab and have it redone. When I asked her for the number of her supervisor she refused to give it to me. After arguing she finally said she would have the next person up give me a call. Sean Demory was no better. When I asked him for the next person up he said he was it. He refused to give me an email or number of anyone else I could talk to. When I asked him what happened to customers were always right he said no they were not. We started with an 1870something house, with a 1940something kitchen with breaking-down cabinets…read moreand a mish-mash of wood tones, low soffits and a very dated space, plus a pretty unusable bathroom space. We now have a FUNCTIONAL, BEAUTIFUL kitchen AND TWO bathrooms. The design help we got was so creative and enabled us to use some old wood for open shelving to keep some of the antique house vibe, but the white cabinets give the spaces a clean, fresh feel without feeling modern. The drawers open ALL the way, the cabinets don't slam shut, the trim is LOVELY...DO spring for the crown. It makes a WORLD of difference. (They have a ton of colors...I just liked the white.) BTW, this is not my first experience with Premier Cabinets....My daughter's house flooded in Harvey, and she got replacement cabinets from Premier. That was the first. Then they remodeled their 1960s house and got their cabinets again from Premier. That's why I went with them. The cabinet quality is really nice, the drawers are good quality, the trim looks amazing, the color and style choices are myriad... Plus, they're nice people to work with! They were SO patient with me when we ended up with structural issues and had to wait a LONG time for installation. When Victor and his buddy came to install, they were SUCH a pleasure to work with. They pointed out one drawer that had gotten damaged, and had a replacement before I knew it. They set up their cutting space outside, so didn't fill my house with sawdust. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure EVERYTHING was in perfect order! It all ended up SO nice! I'll add pictures once my old-wood shelving is installed.

Funny thing, i found my design drawings from years ago....and i remember changing my layout after looking at the design for a day or two. I am glad i did. From top to bottom, these guys are amazing…read more I'd received a pretty obnoxious quote for a covered patio and kitchen so did a little bit of price shopping. Of the 6 quotes I got, Jacob at Your Texas Patio blew them all away (he beat the obnoxious one by nearly $50,000 for basically the exact same project). I generally don't go for the cheapest option, but after the initial conversations he had me convinced that he knew what he was doing. So, I dove right in. As soon as they had the go ahead, work was underway. Angel led the way on the construction end and was out there every day (often including the weekends) doing everything from tearing out the side of the house to connect the structure, putting down posts, framing the roof, painting, etc. A real construction stud. In no time the project was complete and I'm extremely happy with the finished project (which beat our target date by about 2 weeks). Sure, there were some snags along the way. I had some plumbing issues that needed to be addressed (1960s house with original sewage lines), a sprinkler than was inadvertently damaged and the need to run a gas line from the other side of the house. Jacob fixed anything that needed to be fixed immediately, and if there was something outside the scope of the project he had someone out there for me to consult with on the same day (I couldn't even get my longtime plumber or audio guys out within two weeks). If I had a tweak to design or a minor addition, it was done. If I had questions on the project at 11pm after a few whiskeys or on a weekend at 7am on my way to a soccer game, it was answered. Sure, he looks like a kid, but he knows what he's doing. I'll be using them on my next projects and you probably should, too.

They stated that they had to go out of town and I would get the bid when they returned. So I received the bid 7 days after my appointment and 5 days after all the other bids. The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.
