I am not normally one to write poor reviews, but I believe that this is warranted for everyone wanting to know about this business. I made multiple attempts to buy two lab puppies from him. We were in contact on instagram, and everytime I asked him questions about certain details (payment, litter date availability, picking from the litter, etc) he would be very vague and not answer my questions directly. I am usually patient and try to work with people and understand people aren't perfect. However the only interaction he would have with me is trying to sell his current inventory of dogs, when I would repeatedly tell him I wanted to wait for future litters. He then finally gets back to me about making a down payment for a reservation. He offered me a discounted rate of $1500 for each lab puppy, when the normal rate is $1800. He even said in his own words that the down payment would be $100 for each puppy. Fast forward to today, he then changed the down payment to $400. I then asked him if the deal he previously mentioned still stands, and then he said "ok". I then send him $200 for the down payment, and then I ask him if I'm allowed to pick from the litter once the puppies are available. It was a simple yes-no question to clarify. He then gets upset at me for even asking the question, and then sends my down payment back. He then cites to blame me for requesting a cheaper down payment price, and overall discount when HE was the one that offered it to begin with. I am beyond frustrated with the way he conducts business, and I've been more than patient with him and accommodating. Hopefully other people have better experiences but all I ever wanted to do was buy a couple of puppies. Please look at the photos of the conversation between myself and business owner. I am really unsatisfied with his response to the public. Please read this interaction I had with him. Please don't pretend to put a facade onto the public that I am somehow the one at fault. Sunday Nov.26th: We talked to Howard on Friday and set up a meet and greet with him and his family and the "runt" and last Maltese puppy of his new litter this Saturday. First impression, Howard is a tattoo'd and burly looking guy but talk to him for two minutes and you find out he's a friendly, local and he loves what they do! Howard and his wife Lana graciously invited my wife, my 12 yr. old daughter and myself into their home and immediately let us meet the last puppy of the litter. I purposely asked my daughter to go into the house first. I wanted to see the puppy's reaction to her since this was going to be her first doggy and a little reward for all the things she's done in school and volleyball! My wife and I truly thought of this as a meet and greet ONLY and since the puppy was the "runt" of the litter along with being the last sibling to be sold, we prepared our daughter, we were just going to meet Howard and "see" how the dog is. Howard took the puppy out of his crib and taught my daughter the proper way to hold him and gently informed her of the do's and don'ts of caring for a 9 week old. Howard was so loving and understanding of my daughter's newness to a puppy, she immediately felt comfortable with the pup. Before you knew it, my daughter and the pup were like two peas in a pod and playing and following each other around his house. My wife and I both observed what was occurring and quickly realized, this may not be a simple meet and greet. My wife especially, had her eye keenly on the health of the pup and I tried to be the most Taisho dad I could be toward the dog. After he warmed up to my wife and broke my "Taisho- ness" to bits by laying with his belly up for me to scratch, I looked at my wife and daughter and told Howard and Lana, "The three of us needed to have a walk and talk down his street". My daughter and I immediately voiced the chemistry between my daughter and the pup. My wife on the other hand, was still concerned about he being the runt of the litter and the health of this pup down the road. (as we found out later, the runt is usually not unhealthy, they just get pushed around a lot and are usually last to eat) The three of us understood her concern and also knew there were no guarantees on animals and anything is possible. I told them both, I would bring up our health concerns as he was the "runt" (the pup did not look like a "runt" to me) as I wanted us to be honest with Howard and Lana. They both understood our concerns and let us know everything they have done for the pup with all current paperwork and medication and even assured us if the vet found an issue, they would do everything in their power to make it financially right. (I'm almost positive this is something they do not offer everyone but I think they saw the concern my wife had and were fully confident in the quality of animals they raise) We were sold! Little Mochi- Ball is my daughter's first doggy and the newest member of our small, little fam-bam! We made our next vet appointment for this week Wednesday for a check up but this little doggy has been the best and most loving pup my wife and I have had in a long time and we both agree "Moch" is absolutely perfect for our daughter! This is my side of the situation. My son is a first time dog owner who was asking questions regarding preparation for the puppy. The only questions that he asked were about the price (which you agreed to), when and what time the dog will be available for pickup (which you actually did not update us that the time was rescheduled), what type of food the puppies were being fed so he could buy the same product, how old the dogs were and when their first vaccine was so he could start scheduling the next shot. These all seem like valid questions, in addition to the fact that a 3200 purchase is very serious (especially for a kid). He obviously cares about the puppy and wanted to make sure that everything was right and that he was prepared for it. As we both know, it is a big deal to add a dog to the family. He had no intention of "testing you," but he just wanted to make sure everything was okay and that he was prepared. If were upset about the price, we wish that you told us from the beginning that the price is firm. Maybe he asked to many questions, but we thought that you would be a little more understanding given that, again, he is a first time owner.
