Decent. Not great, but definitely not bad. Food is good, nothing spectacular. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The handful of times I've been here, the service was attentive and friendly. Just FYI- my group is giving me crap for rating this 3, they all think it should be 4 stars. Overall, I recommend this place as a late night spot that isn't fast food. Otherwise, there are much better places in this neighborhood.
I've only been here around 11pm for late dinner/drinks. They offer your standard selection of tapas. The wine pours are generous- and most importantly the red wine is not cold! I don't understand why some bars in Spain serve freezing cold wine...
For tapas, I've tried the chipirones (fried baby squids), calamares romana (fried large rings of calamari), patatas bravas, pan con tomate, croquetas de pollo, and croquetas de jamon y queso.
The chipirones were a bit tough, clearly fried too long. The croquetas were standard. Pan con tomate wasn't very garlicky at all but still enjoyable with the other tapas. Patatas bravas were simply done but executed well- crispy exterior, fluffy potato, topped with tasty sauces. I enjoyed the calamares romana. Normally I find them too heavy, too thick and too tough. These were tender and the batter was light and crisp.
On the green review site, people complain about the service when directed toward English speaking people. My group of 6 was half English speaking and we continued to speak in mostly English at our table. The service was more than adequate. We had a dog with us and they let us inside since they were closing up outside. The servers were kind and attentive.
All in all, if you're in the area late night looking for a simple place to grab a bite/drink, I recommend this place. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go out of their way to try it. read more
