Wow what can I say about this place? I know I am always the kind of person that expects customer…read moreservice to be at least half way decent however my expectations for an auto parts place? Yeah, little to no expectations. I called ahead of time to see if they had a battery for my SUV and they said they only had one on stock, Rachel was polite enough to place it on hold until I arrived, she instructed me that she would give me an $18 credit if I gave them my old battery back and then I still asked if I could use a coupon that I printed online and she said that it was no problem. I arrived hours later and Alejandro was the fist one to greet my children and I. I told him I called earlier and placed a battery on hold and he remembered that Rachel had placed it on hold for someone and he assumed it was me (and it was). He rang me up on my purchase and applied the $18 credit plus my coupon that I printed online. I did let him know ahead of time that this was the first time I ever had an issue on my brand new vehicle and I was not sure how to remove all the excess parts to get to the battery plus I didn't have the tools since I urgently needed my new battery places to get home. Alejandro politely helped me out, grabbed his tools and began teaching me what needs to be removed for future reference. What surprised me the most is during 6:30 p.m. in 103 degrees Fahrenheit he managed to still be polite despite the heat and after changing many batteries that day. He even went to the extent as far as also making small talk to my children as he was doing me the favor of changing the battery. At the end, after his entire t-shirt was soaked with sweat I offered a tip for going out of his way to help me out, he gladly accepted it and thank me for it but I thank him for not only being kind throughtout the experience but also having to put up with the intense heat. No small job goes unnoticed, to me it meant a lot since I took the risk of possibly not making it home with my old battery.

When I came to talk to them, the tested it and told me my battery was fine and tried to sell me a portable jump started as they said the warranty doesn't apply since the battery works. So they just expect customer to deal with faulty parts.

My brakes sounded horribleeee and it even got to the point where I did not feel safe making my daily commute into Houston. Luckily, I called them Wednesday and they were able to get me in that Saturday morning. Isaac at the front was incredibly nice and explained to me how they will look at it, send me an email with what they found and a break down. Then they would call me to confirm pricing before they start. I got my final pricing for brakes and ac to be fixed in the future. They told me what was priority that day and what could wait! It was more than I expected because of the parts I needed but honestly, they were quick, nice and had tons of cars they were currently working on it (from it looked like). Yeah, I could have looked up the parts and bought them myself etc. but I rather save time and pay a professional. The best part was when I picked up my girl, they had washed her inside and outside and she looked amazing! She drives like she's brand new and I can't explain how happy I am with the service! They are known in the community so I would highly recommend them!

We head here when we can't do the work ourselves. It's clean,on the inside & the servicing area, the restroom are as well. The service tech really impressed us when he had to remove a rusted bolt that required a hell of a lot of torque,Thomas is the man!!! Elgin was great at helping us at the counter & remembered us when we returned & treated us very well. I appreciate a business that doesn't try to overcharge for something you don't need. They let you know if they see something that might need attention in the future but don't hassle you to get it done. It's refreshing to leave an auto care servicing center without feeling like you got taken to the cleaners.

It looked like he checked the tire pressures and then disappeared. We waited in the car for about 30 mins before we were able to catch someone else to ask what was going on. He looked at us confused and said we needed to go inside to get this service. ???? Then once we went inside, he said it would take about 15-30 mins to get the service completed. We waited another 45 mins. Wasted so much time and was disappointed by such poor communication. I would not come back here again.

They provide loaners for long repairs. They have a courtesy shuttle for yoy to not lose work time. So they really give a great name to Mechanic work!!! Kudos to Tod and his team! I love them a lot. Special shoutout to Jim who I love talking to everything w he drops me off and picks me up. Special shoutout to Armando who is so precise about his knowledge on most issues that need immediate attention. Special shoutout to Kerry who always has a smile and a joke to share. It's like a family and nothing less. Icing on the cake, they help with identifying any recalls or manufacturer related issues and therefore the life of your car is ensured. Strongly recommend them. We took my Chevy Traverse to Space Center Auto on a Friday because the A/C was blowing warm. My…read morehusband chose them instead of our usual shop because they offered a shuttle, which we needed that day. They came back with a long list of issues. First, they said the A/C compressor was broken and would need to be replaced -- along with multiple tests, flushes, and additional parts -- for about $2,700. Then they claimed the water pump was failing and needed to be replaced immediately to avoid overheating ($1,600). They also quoted us for: Rear main oil seal replacement: $2,854 Front crankshaft seal: $447 Front brake job: $726 The total came to $10,391. For a vehicle that's less than five years old... what?! We declined everything and decided to take the car to our trusted shop, AutoCheck. Unfortunately, Space Center Auto never mentioned that they're closed on Saturdays. They gave us the quote late Friday and didn't hear back from us, so our car sat there all weekend. We couldn't retrieve it until Monday -- and had to pay $311 just to get it released. AutoCheck inspected the car and immediately found the real issue: the A/C compressor. They quoted $1,700 to fix it. When we asked about all the other problems Space Center listed, they were shocked. They told us the water pump was fine, the seals were fine, and nothing else was wrong. Yes, the front brakes will need to be done eventually -- but not urgently. AutoCheck had no incentive to downplay repairs; they're a business, too. If something needed fixing, they would have told us. The contrast between the two shops was staggering. Based on our experience, I would avoid Space Center Auto at all costs.
