I had NO oil leak when I brought my vehicle in, and after I got home, there was oil all over my garage. An actual mechanic shop told me what caused it... I contacted them repeatedly about the issue, and they completely ignored me after an initial contact from District Manager Gary. Unless you have an extra $1100 to gamble, I'd take your vehicle to actual mechanics with a code of ethics. This location is filled with arrogance and below acceptable customer service.

Two mo later, We just checked our camper for an upcoming road trip and realized they put one of the new tires on the spare instead of the camper itself. Called and they said to bring it in. Instead of expediting our situation they put us in a long line of customers again even though they realized this was their mistake. We have now been here an hour and 1/2 and they are saying another 1/2 to 45 min because some people had appointments. Really, we shouldn't have had to check behind their work or have to bring it back to be done right. I'm very disappointed and have lost so much time just sitting here waiting again not to mention lost trust in them. Just be careful and double check their work before leaving is my recommendation. We have used them in the past and didn't think we needed to be their supervisor. Now we know. Our time isn't as important as there time is.

Kind of dumb reasons, but as I wasn't finding a place on the north side of Springfield with good reviews, and no one I have met in Springfield had very good mechanic suggestions, I figured I'd take a gamble and see. When I called this place and asked some basic questions, they were friendly and professional, and most importantly, got a mechanic on the line to listen to my symptoms. He gave me five possible reasons that those symptoms could be happening, and listed them in order from the cheapest repair to the most expensive. I was able to quickly get my car in to be seen, and they had the repair diagnosed and fixed by the next day. Best part? It wasn't even as expensive as they had originally quoted me as the labor hadn't taken as long. I know it is easy for mechanics to jack up the labor costs, but my itemized bill was very reasonable. That kind of honesty has kept me coming back! I'm glad I took a gamble and tried Cloverleaf Auto Repair.

They rotated the tires once as I requested front to back. The noise persisted but not as bad, so we came back a second time and Andrew (and his crew) cross rotated them this time which solved the problem. They even gave us a referral to Christian Brothers automotive for an alignment check. Being 800 miles from home and receiving this kind of service from location M003 (Sunshine street location) was extremely helpful. We wouldn't go anywhere else for tire service when near Springfield. If I could give Budget Radiator and Automotive 10 stars, I absolutely would!…read more We were in Springfield from St. Charles for my daughter's MCDA Honors Choir workshops and concert when our 2015 Honda Odyssey suddenly started flashing warning lights on the highway--FCW, LDW, a flashing Drive indicator, and the check engine light. We were only about 7 miles out from our hotel, but we were worried we might be looking at a transmission replacement as it seemed like the transmission went "limp" and wouldn't change gears while driving! The team at Budget Radiator and Automotive got us in quickly, took the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem, and didn't jump to conclusions or try to sell us unnecessary repairs. They found that the alternator had failed, but they didn't stop there. During the repair they discovered the serpentine belt and tensioner were also failing because the belt kept slipping off. They explained everything clearly, showed us what was happening, and made sure the repair was done correctly. After replacing the alternator, serpentine belt, and tensioner, they checked the transmission fluid at my request, (which looked great), then test drove the van for about 20 miles to make sure everything was working properly before calling us. That's the kind of attention to detail and professionalism every customer hopes for. The van now runs beautifully, all of the warning lights are gone, and we have complete confidence driving it home. When you're traveling and your vehicle breaks down hundreds of miles from home, you're putting a lot of trust in a repair shop you've never met. Budget Radiator and Automotive earned that trust from the moment we walked in. They were honest, knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely cared about getting us safely back on the road--not just fixing a car. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience. If we're ever in Springfield and need automotive service again, this will be our first call. I highly recommend Budget Radiator and Automotive to anyone looking for a shop they can trust.
