Review of General RV in Wayland, Michigan…read more We recently had the pleasure of working with General RV in Wayland, Michigan, and overall, it was a very positive experience. Here's a detailed breakdown of what stood out and a few areas where there's room for improvement. What Stood Out Wide Range of Options: General RV offers an impressive variety of choices, from their "Keep You Camping" program - considered an "industry differentiator" because it prioritizes your ability to use your RV during peak camping season and educates owners on what truly needs immediate attention versus what can wait - to various extended warranties. Their willingness to work with customers and tailor options to individual needs really sets them apart. Exceptional Team Members * Marcus (Salesperson Extraordinaire): Marcus was fantastic. He patiently answered all our questions and helped us secure a great price. His expertise and knowledge of the industry as a whole, honesty and friendly approach made the buying process smooth and enjoyable. We appreciated all of his tips and tricks while test driving and found his insight and attention to detail refreshing! * Justin (Financier and "Cliff Talker Offer"): Justin was incredibly patient with all our questions, especially when we raised concerns about General RV's service department Yelp rating. He walked us through the financing options clearly and helped us understand everything thoroughly. * Aaron (Parts Specialist): Aaron was straightforward and helpful, providing a clear list of must-have, nice-to-have, and cool items for our RV. His no-nonsense attitude was refreshing and very useful. I love that he did not try to sell us things we didn't need and answered lots of questions about water systems and electricity! * Jim (Walk-Through Expert): Jim gave us a thorough walk-through of the RV and explained all the features in detail, ensuring we felt confident with our purchase. * Andrew (Insurance Specialist): Andrew was amazing at finding the best insurance coverage and deductible combination within our budget. His expertise made a complicated process much easier. * Front Desk Team: The ladies at the front desk were attentive and helpful throughout. Even though they initially spelled our name incorrectly, they quickly fixed it and kept the atmosphere light with some friendly teasing. Areas for Improvement While the overall experience was great, the cleanliness and attention to detail inside the RV could use some work. There were small issues like the time wasn't set on the clock, dried chunky caulking around the outside lights and smeared on a window, and a receptacle so dusty that I initially thought its color was off. Improving these small details would elevate the customer experience significantly. Final Thoughts General RV in Wayland offers excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff, and a variety of helpful programs that make RV ownership easier and more enjoyable - especially for a first time buyer. With a bit more focus on the finishing touches and cleanliness, they would be absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the market for an RV.

We met Riley from General RV of Wayland, Michigan a few weeks ago while visiting from Tucson…read more Arizona. We knew exactly what we were looking for and he was able to show us just that. We informed him we were going to the Hershey RV show and since he was going to be there as well he was willing to to meet up with us while we were there. He came to the RV we were looking at, helped us with the purchase and at the price we were looking for! He even offered to follow up with us on his day off when picking up the RV. He was amazing, available and one of the best salesman we have worked with so far and this is our 4th RV! Thank you, Riley for being there for us and not pushing just for the sale. You are the kind of Salesman we look for when purchasing. -The Morton Family

One star is being generous. I called Onstar/Buick Roadside…read moreAssistance at 6:15am. This "company" texted right away asking a couple questions which I responded to. ETA was 6:45-7:15am. They were not there. At 10:20am, I texted asking for an updated ETA. Andre responded that he had a flat tire would be there within the hour. An hour later I got a text from Roadside that the driver was on way. I sent a text with info regarding how to find the house that my car is at as the GPS is always wrong. Another hour later, I get a text that Andre is en route. By 2pm still no driver. I called Roadside again who reached out to the driver and Andre told them that he had a flat tire and was 30 minutes away. By 3:30pm still no Andre. And I called roadside AGAIN to get my claim reassigned since we were now going on 8 hours pasted the original ETA. Within 15 minutes of getting of the phone with roadside to have my claim reassigned Andre shows up right before the other tow company. I was told by the other company that Andre was attempting to load my vehicle onto his trailer. So another not so nice call to Roadside, roadside reassigns the claim to this "company" just for Andre to screw around for the next 2, almost 3 hours trying to diagnose and "fix this issues", say i was out of gas and all this other stuff. Ultimately leaving becuase he could not get my non-running vehicle loaded onto his truck/trailer. I just got back from vacation the previous night, with less tham 2 hours of sleep before trying to start the process of getting a TOW TRUCK in hopes that I could get my vehicle to the dealership before they opened at 9am, to atleast figure out whats going on before they closed until Tuesday for the holiday weekend but 12 hours later (from the time of the first call to the time he left the location of my car) and my vehicle still sits in the same exact spot!! Now I get to spend another day dealing with this PLUS trying to figure out how the hell I'm going to get to work and my child to school next week!

Tow company came 5 hours after they said they would , then Andrew one of the drivers took my keys…read morehome with him for the weekend then kept them for two more days until Tuesday and did not drop my keys off to the shop where my car was until 5 days after it was towed . Apparently Andrew forgot to leave my keys with the car so it couldn't get worked on or even looked at for that matter . When I spoke to a supervisor about it they told me Andrew had any emergency with his family , sort of like the one I'm in right now with three kids full-time job and no car . No apology from them just excuses. This entire situation could have been avoided had Andrew done his job properly and left the customer's keys with the customers vehicles but he did not and now all we're getting is excuses excuses excuses . Just do your job correctly and you won't have to make excuses after the fact. We are now 5 days after the fact and my keys were just dropped off at the shop they haven't even had a chance to look at what's wrong with my car much less start the process of fixing it so if you want to be without your vehicle longer than what you actually should definitely use this company
