Scheduled an appointment for an inspection for a roaring sound coming from the car. The person who…read morehelped me upon entering (was welcoming) did not disclose any cost for the service. They quoted me just under $3,000 to change the gaskets, replace the catalytic convertor, and a myriad of other parts and services related to replacing the exhaust system. They also recommended I change the spark plugs. I had new spark plugs installed less than 100 miles earlier. When I asked them about this, they said it was only a "mileage based recommendation". Why should I trust any of their other diagnoses if they wanted $205 to replace spark plugs I just had installed? When I declined the service, the guy assisting me at the counter requested $49 "to throw at the technician". Not wanting an argument at the counter, I paid and figured I'd dispute the charges later. They put on a good front with the bottled water, shuttle service, and Biblical references on their website. They seem to have forgotten Matthew 22:39; the first verse they quote..."Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself" I was able to go to a local shop and they welded/fixed the flex pipe for $120 without any of the BS.

The new pair of front lower ball joints and 4 new rotors with brake pads and setting brackets was $283. The two replacement rear shock absorbers are $79. Either they're bad at time management, charge exorbitant labor fees, or are just scammers, but last I checked that doesn't add up to $6200. A few days later it was still smelling of antifreeze so I investigated. There was a leak from the heater hose that Honest Wrench's didn't catch before I picked up the vehicle. I confronted them and said if the technician had taken it for a test drive after the service he certainly would've discovered the leak. Of course I got some B.S. that they always check it. Clearly they didn't finish the job. Also, they are waaay over priced. I called another service after the fact and found Dis-Honest Wrenches was overcharging by $600. Another place said they could replace my windshield but wouldn't be able to do the calibration and that I would have to make a separate trip to Toyota for them to do the calibration. I really appreciated that Kryger could handle everything with the repair. I can't say enough good things about this place and would use their services again should I need a repair with my windshield.
