He was polite and inquisitive which instantly put me at ease. Thru the entire Q&A that we peppered him with, he had answers and knew his business. Not to mention, just an all around good guy!! After the purchase was finalized, he took the time to explain EVERY inclusive button and setting. Financial: Ricky was just as kind and polite with all of our questions and explained ALL ASPECTS of how the financing worked and all of the options that were available to us. I especially appreciated, being new to EV technology and ownership, the time he took with warranty information. Being in a tough spot, with a car to trade that had been driven TO DEATH, trying to make a major purchase on 3 hours of sleep and being COMPLETELY out of my depth, the people at American Chevrolet made my experience of buying a new car exceptional!!

I had a very frustrating and unprofessional experience with American Chevrolet while trying to…read morepurchase a vehicle using my own credit union financing. From the beginning, I clearly stated that I was already approved through my credit union and only needed the dealership to submit the buyer's order through CUDL. Instead of cooperating with that process, I was repeatedly pushed to fill out their internal credit application and use their financing options. Even after explaining multiple times that I did not want to run my credit again, I was told it was "required" or "the only way" to proceed, which was later contradicted by my lender's instructions. I also requested real photos of the specific truck I was interested in on three separate occasions because the listing only showed generic stock images online. I never received clear or direct photos of the actual vehicle, which made it difficult to confidently evaluate what was being sold. Overall, communication felt inconsistent and disorganized, and it seemed like the goal was to shift me away from my approved financing and into their financing at a higher payment and rate rather than follow my lender's process. Because of the lack of transparency and clear information, I ultimately chose to walk away from the deal. I would strongly recommend future buyers confirm financing processes in writing and request actual vehicle photos before spending time at this dealership.

I even asked before I had them start if it would be better to make an appointment. The guy said no it would be the same time appointment or not. Three hours had gone by and my vehicle had the tire repair done but the alignment had not been started yet!!! I'm upset for being mis informed about the time for my repair. I decided to stop any further work to be done because of the extreme poor customer service and lack of communication skills from the workers. Had they told me that it was going to take that long I would've planned accordingly to get my vehicle worked on. Instead I was late for work! Very disappointed with the customer service care and being mis informed.

My 2024 Kia Seltos has been experiencing an intermittent issue where the vehicle grinds and…read moreshudders while turning. This exact issue previously occurred and was resolved through a recall update, but it has now returned. Since the vehicle is still under warranty, I scheduled an early morning service appointment with Valley Kia. Near the end of the day, I received a call stating they "could not replicate the issue" and therefore could not proceed with repairs unless they kept the vehicle for several more days to continue driving it. After checking the Kia app, I discovered that only 5 miles had been put on my vehicle the entire day. In other words, despite having my car for hours with an early appointment, only about 10 minutes appears to have been spent attempting to diagnose the problem. My service advisor, Robert, was professional and advocated for me to receive a loaner vehicle so the dealership could continue evaluating the issue. That request was denied by management. I cannot realistically be without my vehicle for multiple days when so little effort was made to investigate the concern during the scheduled appointment. When I arrived to pick up my car, I spoke with the service manager, John, about my frustration. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, he responded in a dismissive and condescending manner, stating: "I just suppose you would rather us pay someone to drive your car around all day until we find a problem." I explained that my vehicle is under warranty and that I was concerned about continuing to drive a vehicle with a known issue until it potentially becomes a larger mechanical failure. His response was simply: "It's not on us if it's not under warranty." At that point, I informed him I would not be returning to this dealership for service, to which he replied, "That's fine by me." The only positive part of this experience was Robert, who treated me with professionalism and kindness throughout the interaction and even walked me to my car after seeing how upset I was. Any redeeming quality from this visit was because of him. I purchased my vehicle from Kia Country in Manteca and only came to Valley Kia because it was closer. Going forward, I will gladly make the longer drive to Kia Country, where customers are treated with respect and their concerns are taken seriously.
