Every time I've gone to this place they never have the parts I need and they always send me to the…read moreAutozone in Manor.

Having either our Elgin or Manor locations close by; has at times proved a challenge. Either the…read moreparts are there or the sales staff is quick to order the part; but then fails in either notifying the customer that they are there or no contact at all. It is somewhat annoying that it takes awhile to get eye contact or any kind of greeting from staff and waiting on someone to even acknowledge you there, but to quickly be declining in customer service is another fail. Years of going to either location, yet the Elgin one has become more of a hassle than convenience. You "prepay" for your part on one day and "promised" it will be delivered the next day; no call or contact of any. Then the customer continues calling each day and told "not in yet"; until finally 3 days later, another employee takes some initiative to look into their delivery supply and told it's there (no apology or acknowledgement of guilt/courtesy for delay). First, staff does not convey "confidence" to the consumer; when they state "well, the computer says this is the part for the car" and when we ask if they have knowledge of possible reasons for the confusion-do not answer "I have heard that happens"; when our mechanic comes in with us and shows that part does not match the car. The return is simple enough, but does question of whether to return again instead of Manor. Due to urgent needs of any mechanical work on one's vehicle and being aware that all parts stores have some delays in their deliveries; it is still "going the extra mile in courtesy " by showing empathy--there will be repeat business.
