My DJs at the bar! Ready for their Chandelier debut
Adrianna P.

Stopped in this little hole in the wall after some bay to breakers shenanigans. Bartenders-attentive and friendly Full Bar Entertainment- a few TVs to watch the games and they have a pool table Music-juke box=winning. Customers are the DJs like most dive bars in San Fran its Cash Only

a sign that reads attention please be patient with the bartender even a toilet can only serve one

your average hole in the wall divey irish bar in the city that is cash only. one bartender, one pool table. bartender was super chill. before we got there, there was about 4 people in there. he got to us all and made the drinks pretty strong. jack and coke was like all jack and a drop of coke for coloring. just the way i like it. 18$ for 2 hard ciders and 2 jameson shots. he even allowed us to order pizza and it eat it in there. one downside is the pool table takes up most of the open space so if you are sitting at the bar you may get hit from the stick as they are hitting the ball.

No truer definition of Dive Bar exists. It wasn't too difficult for us to find parking around this joint. When we walked in we immediately noticed the faint smell of cigarettes that permeated the walls, and of course, a rare site these days - the ash trays on the bar. None of us smoke so we counted ourselves lucky that no one there was smoking while we hung out here. I asked what was on tap and the reply came "Nothing". Apparently everything is bottled or canned. I will drink Guinness out of the can, but not a bottle and canned is what they had. All three of us were poured a Guinness in a slim balloon style Magner's glass. 5.50 a pop. The woman working the counter was simply a doll and wonderful to chat with. She mentioned she was from County Leitrim and we all had a lovely chat. I think she mentioned her name as Annie. If I were a local this would definitely be high on the list of hang out spots. We went on a Monday afternoon, so it was quiet and mellow, much how we tend to prefer it. Don't get me wrong we love live music and the lot, but after a full day of traveling it was nice to relax. I'd love to make it back and see what all the other yelpers are commenting about regarding the night life at this spot. I loved that this place appeared the epitome of a dive bar but had the warm and friendliness to counter the usual negative stigmas that surround dive bar type settings. I will definitely go back when in the city.

A few folks have said this is the best bar in SF. It's not an exaggeration. This bar pulls one of the best crowds in the city.

I'm personally over (and too old) dealing with sloppy drunks spilling drinks on you, getting pushed around in a crowd or end up in a middle of a brawl Blind Pig is that perfect spot, well at least on a weeknight: chill, low-key, and moody. And, most importantly comfy seating AND solid AZN inspired craft cocktails ($18-$19). Cocktails with black sesame, taro, pandan, mapo tofu, tea, and hot pot flavors? YAS! D R I N K S * Hot & Sour: Tanqueray Gin w/ Iichiko shochu, aloe, rose, hot pot paste, basil, citrus, peychaud's ($18 x2) The sichuan hot pot inspired cocktail was silky smooth from the milk-washed gin, nicely balanced - sweet (but not too sweet) and sour with a subtle málà numbing spice. Stiff yet easy to drink. The manager/bartender, Leo was awesome with great hospitality. Background lounge-y music is not too loud so you can yap and catch-up with friends. Overall, Blind Pig is a great place to unwind after work or start the night off. If it's too tamed for you, you can always go next door to XEX to make bad decisions - no judgement cuz we've all been there! ;) O T H E R I N F O * Walk-in only. I think in many ways, Blind Pig just fell a little flat. I would like to say that the service here was amazing. A bartender who sat with you to talk about the menu, the process, and your experience very passionately and intently.  However, I think that the bar program is a little unrefined. Every drink had 10,000 ingredients, and most of them did not work together. If the drink did work together, you just tasted nothing because everything blended together and you couldn't taste any special or fun ingredients.  Unfortunately, I don't think this spot is worth looking for.

I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

A Little Slice of Vacation in the Heart of the City…read more Long Weekend is exactly what it promises a laid-back, sun-drenched escape tucked right into the buzz of North Beach. From the moment I stepped in, I felt like I was on a mini getaway. The space is effortlessly cool, with coastal-chic vibes, pops of color, and a playlist that makes you want to stay for hours. The drinks are where the magic really happens. I tried the "Golden Hour" cocktail (highly recommend!) bright, citrusy, and dangerously easy to sip. Their menu is playful but thoughtful, with creative twists that still feel approachable. It's the kind of place where you can try something new and know it's going to be good. The staff was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to walk us through the menu, offered great recommendations, and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. Whether you're kicking off a night out or just want to unwind with friends in a beautiful space, Long Weekend delivers. It's got that rare mix of style, soul, and substance and I can't wait to come back.

The overall place was very Cuban inspired, we got some drink which were so good, very fresh, sweet and cute. I also enjoyed how they were was a good amount of room for people to dance or enjoy their drinks. I also loved the fact that there's a downstairs which is a former bank vault, which adds a whole secretive, intimate and cool vibe to it. This was a perfect way to end a girls night. So happy I stumbled upon this place, will definitely be coming back!

Once most of our party was here, we got seated at an outside seating area that was marked as reserved. The atmosphere and decor struck a great balance between welcoming and elegant. The space had earthy tones, flattering lighting, and various layouts of seating layouts. The bar itself was beautifully displayed. We ordered various drinks and some small bites. Yuka fries, ceviche clasico, carne asana tacos, al pastor tacos. The chips were solidly crisp, crunchy, and paired very well with the ceviche. The carne asana tacos with the salsa macha was juicy and perfectly done, and my favorite small bite of the night.. The Yuka fries were perfectly salted and the aioli dip was exactly what you'd want out of fries. My friends recommended the Kiwi and I found it refreshing, almost like a drink you'd have at a spa or so. I also tried the Oaxacan, which was styled like an old fashioned. I thought it was fair, but if I were to pick a favorite out of the two, the Kiwi would be my choice. Even with a busy crowd, the service was attentive and checked on us every so often. Overall, Cavana was a memorable rooftop experience that I enjoyed. I'll definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a rooftop bar with great small bites!

They do go heavy on the ice with some of the drinks but they all came out in different glasses, different sizes, and different flavors. It was fun tasting them all. My favorite was the watermelon and guava. I would definitely come back for the drinks. I didn't enjoy the food, and here's where it went wrong. We first got our chips and salsa. The chips are seasoned like Doritos so there's a nice flavor but the seasoning is in consistent. Some pieces were SO salty and some had no seasoning. The salsa is pretty rich as well. When our ceviche came, I ate a bite without the seafood and it tasted fishy. When I tried the actual seafood part, I knew it went bad because it had such a strong odor. We had to send it back but saw them serving it to other people. I eat a lot of seafood and I don't mind a slight fishy taste but this was definitely a food poisoning situation. After that it took a very very long time to get our last dish. Unfortunately when it finally came out, it was a disappointment. The octopus texture tasted like it had freezer burn, then was over cooked, sat too long after it was cooked because they had to make the fries. The fries were fresh but the octopus was dry, cold, hard, and chewy. I've had lots of pulpo before and this was a let down. It was a bummer that we didn't get to eat much and decided to walk somewhere else to finish dinner.
