IN AND OUT IN 15 MINUTES! This is hands down the most efficient license office I've ever been to. I arrived 10 minutes after they opened and the line was long. A nice man held the door open for me even though he got there first. I felt bad I took their spot but glad the line moved quickly. The woman who helped me was fast and helped me update the mailing address since I just moved so I could renew my plates online in two years instead of go in person. I think we can all agree, the DMV is the last place anyone wants to go to voluntarily. I had three orders of business to take care of so, I had no choice. The Office opens at 9. There were folks lined up outside by twenty to nine. I took my place in line and waited for them to open. Once the doors opened, an employee was at the door directing traffic. I needed to renew my drivers license first. I took a number and waited to be called. The associate was so helpful. She was patient and had me in and out within 12 minutes. Next order of business was plate renewal and title transfer. I got in line and waited my turn. I believe there were at least 6-7 employees working the desk. The line moved swiftly. The team members were patient and helpful as we moved through both of the things I needed to take care of. I was finished by 9:35 with a new license, renewed plates, and a title transfer. I highly recommend this office. Every team member I encountered was helpful and friendly. Lines moved quickly and efficiently. Pro tip: my next visit I'll get there around 9:30. By that time, all the people who were waiting in line had finished their business and were on their way. People coming in behind me were able to walk right up to either counter and be in and out very quickly. read more

Although we live in St. Louis, we bought our new Jeep in O'Fallon. To complete the state paperwork, we went to the O'Fallon office instead of one in the city. My first experience was at the Maplewood DMV. What a nightmare that hellhole is!! They should sentence county prisoners there!! How does the State of Missouri allow those people to treat customers that way!!?? Anyway. If you can, go outside the city like the O'Fallon DMV. From the signs that look like they were made by a 7th grader to the fact that some services require you to take a ticket, others do not (with no signage to explain), a trip to this DMV will make you feel like you're in a 3rd world country. If you can avoid this location, please save yourself some aggravation. It's really a hit or miss at this location. Missouri's Department of Motor Vehicles is out of date and outsourcing just made it worst. I never forget it's the Show Me state. Show Me proof of residence, show me pieces of mail. We want to read your mail, Show Me! Show me proof it's your car, show me that waiver! Show me you paid property taxes!! We want to see!! You better not mess with the odometer show me an inspection! The staff is typical compared I guess to the TSA. The wait time is overwhelming two hours most of the time for anything license related. When they ask for two pieces of mail, just know that's not what is required. Missouri requires two different documents. There's a sheet you can find online with the entire list. They're just being lazy when they say two pieces of mail. Your unexpired drivers license can count as one and your voter registration card can count as the second. For a faster experience, consider St. Charles or St. Peter's Harvester Road locations. read more

If you hate someone send them here! My experience is the following! Called and I'm told just bring in the title and taxes I paid on another vehicle and that's it. All these visits were the same day. 1st visit at DMV I am told that I need to get an inspection and safety completed. I go to Valvoline and they don't have an inspector. I go to some tire shop and they said I need to make an appt. 3rd place I am told I don't need it because of some odd even year BS. 2nd visit at DMV I am told I need an IOD to verify my vehicle. Well, I get that done. 3rd visit at DMV I am told I need to show proof of purchase which I explain it was my fathers he's passed and it's now mine that I didn't pay for it. She instead I show proof of purchase I call a different DMV and they explain that I just need to get a waiver from the county. Next day I get a waiver and go to a different DMV and as easy as that I get my plates on day 2 of this ridiculousness. read more

I stood in line over 2 hours to get my car registered from out of state. I had my registration from Las Vegas, my title, my bill of sale, my tax waiver...everything that I needed. When I got to the window, the clerk asked to see proof that I've already paid sales tax on my car. I showed her my bill of sale that stated that it was already paid. If I didn't pay for the sales tax, how was I able to get my car registered? She said I could pay $2200 in sales tax to get my car registered and just ask for a refund after I got my registration. After arguing for 15 minutes, I just left. She wanted me to pay $2200 again for the same car and I wasn't having it. So I went to the one in St Charles on Raymond. I showed the clerk the same paperwork. She charged me about $78 for a 2 year tag. She didn't give me any problems. She saved me over $2K to register my car. That's a big difference... This DMV will try to steal from people. I'd rather drive an extra 15 minutes to go to the one in St Charles. All the clerks were so nice unlike this one. read more

For being a License Office, this isn't so bad a place, tbh! I haven't encountered Any super awful employees over the last few years. The lines can sometimes be a little bit long, but that's expected. It's kind of a small office, though I try to go during off-times, or days, when it's not quite as busy. This most recent trip was to renew my drivers license. It was pretty painless. I didn't have to wait long to get to the counter, even though there is just one person working on that side, along with one other person solely taking photos. The other side, which does everything except license renewals, can be a bit longer of a wait, but again, nothing terrible. They're all helpful when it comes to exactly which documents you need for registration renewals, etc. The office is kind of easy to miss, so slow down and keep your eyes peeled. Incredibly difficult management and applies little common sense to helping people resolve any kind of problem. The front staff is substantially better than ever before, but the problem is in the management. The management is the old-school, stereotypical, DMV kind of worker that obstructs and offers no customer service at all.
