I give it to restaurants that go over and above. In this case, it is a specialty restaurant that caters to people who live with and without celiac disease or wheat/gluten issues. Today, I started with the pork spring rolls. They were quite large. They were served piping hot and were delicious. The texture reminded me a lot of South American corn and tapioca style breads and breading. A large focus on tapioca starch which works very well in the spring rolls. I also ordered the back pepper beef, and the garlic black beans. I had no idea of the abundance and freshness of the food. Also served piping hot. I barely got through either of the dishes. At this point, I realized that one dish would likely be enough and I likely had enough food for a small family. Excellent value. I'm leaving with enough food for dinner as well. The place is clean, the staff is very knowledgeable, and everyone is very friendly. So, value, excellence of food and taste, ingenuity in creating foods that aren't usually available, while maintaining a close relationship to the original. Well done. Five stars. Bringing home frozen food as well for my wife and some.

We tried the chocolate cake, brownie, sour dough bread, lemon dessert, and the berry tart. The Chocolate Cake: 5 stars The chocolate cake was delicious. It was moist and tender and perfect. It was rich and exactly what I was craving. I would definitely buy this again. The Brownie: 3 stars I found the brownie a bit dry and not rich enough to satisfy my craving. I thought it was just ok but the chocolate cake definitely made up for this. If you want something less sweet I'd choose the brownie but if you want something richer I'd choose the cake. The Sour Dough Bread: 5 stars The sour dough bread was amazing. It was very fresh and had perfect texture and flavour. The crust was crispy and the middle was soft and tore apart perfectly. We each tried a slice but I would definitely go back and buy a loaf. The bread would be great in a sandwich or in French toast or anything else. We will definitely buy a loaf next time we are in the area. The Lemon Dessert: 5 stars The lemon dessert tasted just like pie. It was absolutely delicious and perfect. I would definitely order this again. The Raspberry Scone: 5 Stars The raspberry scone was fantastic. This was actually one of my favourite desserts. It has the perfect amount of raspberry ganache to compliment the crust. I would definitely buy this again too. All over we had a wonderful experience buying baked goods from this bakery. The owner was super sweet and threw in a few goodies for free since it was our first time visiting his store. We would definitely go back. Thank you for all of the wonderful treats.

I grew up in Europe and absolutely love bread, so I was really worried that I won't be able to enjoy one of my favorite foods if I can't have gluten. Not an issue with Cock-A-Doodle-Doo'd sourdough! I've been getting it regularly - I get two loaves, eat one fresh for the week and freeze one for later - and it's perfect. It tastes great, it's fluffy, it's crunchy.. all the right things. And, it's makes great sandwiches. The only caveat is that it sells out, so call or email ahead to reserve a loaf! I've also tried the mini pizzas, the quiche (has eggs), and different pastries and they're all fantastic and most importantly, they don't really have that tired "vegan" taste. Thank god! Last but not least, the owners are very kind!

The first combination tried was - Chilled Rice Noodles with Charred Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Edamame, Coconut Curry Tofu, Penang Curry, some Herbs, and Shallots. It was good. The heat from Penang Curry was good. The bowl was followed by a dessert of Sweet Mango Rice Parfait which I didn't like much. The rice didn't seem to be right for the pudding (or the one we are used to). The second combination tried was - Chilled Rice Noodles with Charred Sweet Potatoes, Lemongrass Corn, Coconut Curry Tofu, Sweet Chilli Lime, Fresh Thai Chilli and Crushed Peanuts. This one was good too. The Tofu was great in both the bowls. The second bowl was complemented with a drink of Good Drink Green Tea which was great. I would have loved to try the rice but unfortunately, the owner ran out of rice at that time and only had the chilled rice noodles. Overall, a very nice place in the university area to have a good hearty food.

We came here at around 1 o'clock on a Saturday and there was a short lineup with the queue to order moving pretty swiftly. They had a small insulated canteen with cups where you can get water. The actual weight for the bagel sandwiches took a long time. We luckily got a spot on the patio and waited for our bagels there. The girl shouts out the orders name inside and if no one's in there, she goes out to the patio to bring it out. It was a really good bagel. I got the bodega and added bacon and it was nice and salty with some cheese and some sauce and on the weekends they have their za'atar bagels so I got it on that and it was delicious. I would come back again if it weren't so far from me.

I ended up with the Bodega bagel which had a variety of fillings that had the perfect mixture of creaminess and savory. The sauce in it was sooo delicious. My friend got the egg and cheese breakfast bagel and decided to add bacon to it, and it's perfect if you want something simple but filling! The place was poppin on a Sunday morning on top of the workers needing to make more bagels and cook the fillings so we waited about 35 minutes for our order. There were a handful of coffee shops nearby, so we decided to walk around and grab a cup of coffee while we waited. There were only bar seats that had about 6 chairs in total, so be prepared to snag a seat when you can to eat your bagel right away.
