Title: Baptist Health Primary Care: Where Low Expectations Go to Die…read more I went into Baptist Health Primary Care with realistic expectations - I mean, we're #37 in healthcare globally (thanks, World Health Organization) - so, you know, not exactly expecting the Ritz-Carlton of healthcare experiences. I just needed my cholesterol checked and my prescription renewed, which, by the way, my insurance (thanks, Cigna!) covers as "preventative care." But apparently, at Baptist, "preventative" means "prepare to be fleeced." My "appointment" with the doctor lasted maybe 10 minutes. He shook my hand to bolt out the door before even doing the standard chest-listening routine - because apparently, even the theatrics of care are too much effort. Then came the kicker: they mis-coded it, and Cigna kicked back the $400 charge. For ten minutes of this clown's time. Now I'm getting bills with no way to talk to anyone from Baptist about it. They hand you off to a billing company that literally has a pre-recorded message telling you they can't help you before you even get a person on the line. They say, "Call the doctor directly." So I did - and guess what? Clueless. Complete shoulder-shrugging. But I have figured out a solution - call it "arbitration" if you will. I sent them 10 percent of the bill. In my mind, this was a $40 job, and that's what I paid. I figure, if I take 10 minutes of this guy's day, I'm not paying him four times what I'd tip a barista. So, Baptist Health, you've been informed - consider this my formal response. If you have an issue with my math, hit me up here on Yelp.

I would choose ZERO Stars if I could. So, a Physician Retires and is replaced by another. Refused to take me as a Walk-In Patient to help resolve the issueI I had to go to another Urgent Care just to get a simple Prescription Refill. All of this while in PAIN. I will be filing a Formal Complaint with Baptist Health.
