It wasn't very busy at lunch. What we ordered was good. Food was fresh, they made accommodations for our stomach issues with substitutions which was wonderful! We ate here today at 11:15 because I found an old gift card with a balance! We were seated right away. I think we may have been the first table. We were greeted within a few minutes by Lisa, who was friendly and efficient. She took our drink order-2 waters and a grapefruit margarita, and off she skedaddled. When she came back we placed our order. One blt with fries, a side salad, and a bowl of potato soup. She brought out two dinner rolls with butter and my salad. It was fine. The blt arrived shortly after with the soup. The soup was lukewarm and had chunks of undercooked potato in a processed cheese sauce. I wasn't a fan. My dining companion said her blt and fries were delicious! Lisa was a great server. The place felt a bit run down. Margarita was fine. Everything was just ok. Would I go back? Sure if I have a gift card to spend. It wasn't very busy for a Friday lunch when we left, so I assume many feel as I do. It's ok. It's fine. read more

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. The Food was excellent. The Service was excellent. The Ambiance was excellent. This was our first visit to this establishment and it did not disappoint. If anything it exceeded our expectations. Not knowing what gastronomic delights they had to offer we scanned the menu with great ease. The pictures of some of the entrees caught my eye and helped me make my decision to order the Cajun Shrimp topped Crab Cake. My wife asked our server Lisa K. for her thoughts on her two options and finally decided on the Garlic Steak Pasta. Both were just the right temperature and full of flavor. The garlic had just the right balance to not overpower the tatse of the steak cubes. My Cajun Shrimps were succulent and had just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere was great. It is a family restaurant so there was lots of conversation and family fun in the air but we could still enjoy the private conversation at our table. Our server Lisa K. was most cordial and very knowledgeable about the food choices, and history of the restaurant. We really appreciated the extra attention she gave us when it came to bread service and drink refills. And a nice gentleman (he didn't introduce himself but we assume he was the manager) stopped by our table to ask if we enjoyed our meal. Great customer satisfaction moment. We will definitely be back to try out the Meatloaf and O'Charley's Famous Chicken Tenders and Fries (need to find out why they are so famous). The entire restaurant smelled like rotten eggs! Maybe a drain backup issue?? I really wanted dessert but I had to leave before I got a full on migraine! The food was mostly okay but my sirloin was dry, and very crispy on the outside (I had ordered medium rare). The waiter was fine but not personable or very attentive. We asked for rolls- they came out with our food. The hostess also played on her phone the entire time, and only mumbled at us. I rarely get to eat at Ocharleys (my usual favorite place) because all the locations near where I lived closed- and I was in town and saw this location. I ordered takeout and went to pick it up at the restaurant. As I approached the counter, I clearly saw one of the waiters grab a piece of chicken from a tray with his bare hands and start eating it. Moments later, they charged my card and began bagging my order -- and sure enough, it was the same tray the waiter had just touched with his hands and eaten from. I immediately told the person at the counter what I had seen. They pretended not to notice and acted like they didn't know what I was talking about, even though the waiter had been right beside them. They went to get the manager, who didn't even bother to come over until I asked for her myself. When she finally did, she offered nothing more than a half-hearted "sorry" and clearly didn't care at all about what had just happened. Completely unacceptable hygiene, zero accountability, and a total lack of professionalism. I called the company's headquarters to report the incident and am currently waiting for a call back from them. I will never be ordering from this place again -- and I highly recommend others think twice before eating here. read more

My family and I came to O'Charley's one Friday night after watching a play in Fort Wayne. We were surprised to find the restaurant mostly empty. So getting immediate service was not a hard thing. We were quickly sat down and given menus and sometime to go thru both the drink and food menus. The place is clean and comfortable. I will also say the service was excellent throughout the time we were here. We had a very attentive waitress, the problem is the food, as it is very inconsistent. My brother ordered a caesar salad and my mom ordered a baked potato soup, which they both throughly enjoyed. We also ordered their meatball appetizer for the table, which was also very tasty. That first course was on point and wonderful. The main course, is where things fell down in quality. My mother ordered their meatloaf, she barely ate any of it because she said it tasted awful. My brother asked for their bayou shrimp pasta, which he said was ok but needed for flavor and heat. I got the steak and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were perfect, the steak was bland. Like i said, very inconsistent. We still decided to give them another shot and take food home for the next day, as we would be getting home past midnight due to the long drive home. We certainly would be sleeping most of Sunday and would not be in the mood to cook. We took a bowl of their potato soup home and a few racks of ribs. The soup again was wonderful, and the ribs were great. Don't understand the inconsistency... if they could get that fixed, this would be a great place. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Where do I even begin? We waited on drinks for 30 minutes. We got refills 30 mins after they were gone.... The waitress said my 11 yr old couldn't order off the kids menu, she put it one order wrong, forgot 3 ppls sides, 2 people's soups and never but a WHOLE order in. After we asked to speak to a manager she got rude and loudly talked badly about us to a co worker. No more business for us. read more

We recently visited O'Charleys celebrating their 50 year anniversary. In the past kids have always eaten free with parents meals but since Covid this has been a promotion that they have not repeated until recently, this was our first time eating in the restaurant instead of ordering carry out I was surprised that on a Saturday at 1 PM there was not a lot of people in the restaurant, I went ahead and ordered the ribs and chicken tender meal. I was a little surprise when the meal came out and the chicken tenders look like small chicken fingers. The baby back ribs were OK. Falling off the bone but unfortunately not in a good way. I did enjoy the baked potato and mac & cheese. For $20 I guess it's not bad however, I think there's other options around town that maybe better for the money spent. I also don't know if you can get more dinner rolls after you finish your basket. The rolls were lukewarm and on the dry side. We never got offered another basket of rolls while eating dinner. The overall restaurant is very clean which is a plus. However, they must be short staffed because we watched a table sit full of plates after the meal that went unclean until after we finished our meal. We used to go here all the time for the all you can eat soup and salad and rolls lunch special. We went the other day, and they no longer offer this :( The past few times we have been here, the cheddar potato soup has been watery and lacked the usual flavor. Very disappointing. This soup used to be thick, creamy and flavorful and, besides the chipotle-tossed chicken strips, the only reason we would choose this restaurant. Sad to say that since the soup has changed and the bottomless soup and salad is no longer offered, we probably will choose another location for lunch. So many restaurants honor veterans on Veterans day by providing a complimentary meal. We chose O'Charley's to take advantage of that generosity. My husband, a Navy veteran, chose a spicy Shrimp Pasta dish for his free entree. He really enjoyed the meal and said it was delicious. I tagged along with him and ordered the patty melt on texas toast, a variation on this popular sandwich, accompanied with fries. The toast was nice and crispy and the burger was cooked to perfection. Our food at the Illinois location at O'Charleys was good. My sandwich melt was good but not the loaded mac & cheese or the loaded potato soup. Throwing scallions on mac & cheese does not make it loaded. It just seems to me like it should be more than one topping to make it loaded. Loaded potato soup wasn't even made with real cheese sauce. It was a nacho cheese sauce out of a can. No or imagination came out of that soup. management came around to ask us how our food and drink were, and we asked him for refills and drinks. He then turned around and had the server bring it out. Management should be attending to Service as well as the servers and should have brought out our drinks instead of pushing it off on someone else. read more

My wife offered the Lobster Bisque. When it arrived it tasted terrible. My wife told the waitress that she couldn't eat the soup. The waitress took the soup and told my wife she could order another soup. She ordered the chicken tortilla soup which was better. Our friend ordered the Potato Skins which arrived burnt. Started when I entered and was politely greeted by two folks, Aniyah and Kaesnon. Honesty, how you are greeted and treated sets the tone for your visit. Had a great time at O'Charley's today. Two of us got steaks which can be iffy at chain places. We were both very happy that our steaks were cooked to order, medium well, and still very tender and flavorful. My niece enjoyed her cedar planked salmon and my sister enjoyed the seafood platter. Our server was Jessica and she was exceptionally good. She advised us to download the app and we got a great free appetizer of the queso dip. I haven't been to this place in a very long time. And it never disappoints. Very social distance aware and enforced. Very clean inside and staff is very friendly. There was a small wait but for a Tuesday night and limited capacity it didn't surprise me full menu is offered and many different choices at a decent price. This day they had $4 margaritas which is a must have. We ordered the appetizer sampler that is olenty if fried food for two people or at my table just the guy who ordered it. They gave us all the sauces that came with it plus the ones that we requested. The margaritas were huge and very tasty. Hit the spot for sure. One was all we needed. Chicken tender platter came with two sides. I ordered the side salad which was fresh and very good. As well as the baked potato which was coated with salt and butter on the side. Next was this fabulous dinner Jason & I had salmon his was mashed potatoes and asparagus I think something green . Mine was this new dish with spinach and vegetables Great combination . I am not usually a fan of franchise restaurants, however, I have eaten here on several occasions and not once had a bad experience. The food is always delicious! They're kind of famous for their chicken tenders, which I must admit, are close to the best I've ever had. I have tried salads, fish 'n chips, peach chutney chicken, and more and it's all been great! This is one of the those restaurants that we never really think about going to due to the abundance of other restaurants in the area. We are glad we stopped! Their rolls are to die for - they come out warm and are super tasty and soft. My daughter and husband both loved the Mac N Cheese and chicken tenders. I had the peach chutney chicken and it was so good. They make really good drinks both their grapefruit jalapeno and mango heat margaritas are super tasty and are a very generous size. We have been here 2 days this week. The service was outstanding, fast and super courteous. Kids eat free and they have free pie Wednesdays. The pie is delicious!
