The education center led by Kevin Meskill keeps all of us up to date on code changes and more. The products cost a little more but the quality is there. Yesterday I needed 24 4x4x8s, you just grabbed from the pile and the quality was there. I recently went to a big box store and after spending fifteen minutes picking and choosing I still had to compromise. Great company led by a great staff.

I still feel like I get a bargain because the sales people know their stuff more than any others I have met over the 37 years I have owned homes (that have needed lots of work!) -- and they care enough to share their knowledge, stating confidently the best product choice or guiding us through the pros and cons of various product options!! Over the years, the knowledgable and kind sales team has rescued me from numerous close calls, wrong decisions that could have really cost me. Rob (the manager) tops the list with knowing the right product for the application, sharing even the smallest details that contribute to the best result. Dave helped advise about doors/windows,trims, etc., and recently, Rich, the paint department manager, saved the day when a couple of painters proposed sanding our cedar shake shingles as part of stain prep and Rich correctly said never to do that, it would remove the shakes' texture and its natural beauty. They view their jobs as essential purveyors of knowledge to the customer, not just to make sales. How lucky we are in CT to have this tremendous resource!

If you can't afford the most basic customer service, then you just shouldn't be in business at all. You're draining resources from our country with giving anything back. This place will never get my money again.

I went over to Lowe's Home Improvement for a part I needed and they didn't have it, but the employee at the front of the store looked it up on his phone and gave me some other options in the area. I've never seen another business do that because normally businesses don't help their competition. Their staff put my needs first, even though they weren't going to get any money out of it. That actually makes me want to go back to their store when I do need something else in the future. Other businesses should learn from that model. That's a rare thing in this day and age. I also called the manager to let them know how courteous their employees are and they told me they get comments like that about their staff regularly so it's not an anomaly. Their staff is really helpful and will help you get what you need even if they don't carry what you need themselves. I have always enjoyed shopping here. They have a higher quality of products than their counterpart down the street. There's tons of parking here. You will never lack for parking. It's also conveniently located near a lot of other things to do in the area. Thank you!

Worst business I have been to. I went here because they were listed as an authorized Stihl Dealer,…read moreso I figured they would know what they are doing. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I went there to have 4 Stihl chainsaw chains professionally sharpened. When I arrived, 2 employees were there and barely greeted me. They both seemed very un-enthusiastic and there were no other customers. I got the feeling like this place was in the process of closing down. I left my 4 chains with them and came back the next day to pick them up. One chain was rejected due to a missing link, one of the remaining 3 chains seemed barely acceptable and the other 2 were obviously unacceptable. The top sharp portions of the chains were curved back at the tops of the links in the opposite direction of the blades' cutting direction. The employee tried to convince me that these curved sections would break off as soon as I started cutting and they would be fine. They just sharpened the chains on a machine and did not inspect them. I told them that this was not acceptable, and this is not how even brand new chains are delivered. Common sense would clearly dictate that this would not work very well and that this sharpening was unacceptable. They told me they would take them back and show the manager and the manager would sharpen them himself. I came back the next day and the curved portions were ground off in a rough fashion and 2 of the chains were still unacceptable. The manager didn't bother to come out and talk to me, not a good way to treat your customers. The employee tried to convince me that the curved cutting edges would just break off and not cause a problem. I disagreed and the employee then offered to sell me 2 new chains and he would credit me the re-sharpening fee. This offer clearly benefited him more than me as I now spent $$86.67 instead of the $43 just to re-sharpen my slightly used chains. But I accepted this as I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I spent twice as much as I should have but at least I had 2 new chains. But, I was not offered any type of discount to cover my extra expense for the additional trip and time wasted there. The employees didn't care, they were not trained very well, management didn't care, communication was poor and barely existed. I will never go back. Sorry to give such a bad review but this was really a bad experience for me. If I could give them a "zero" rating I would.

We visited Marble.com randomly and instantly were shown multiple slabs within our budget and noticed right away that there were more stones available here for a more reasonable price than anywhere else. More importantly, they were stones that caught our eye. Leo and the team were patient (since we weren't really sure what we wanted initially), and as we determined which ones we liked best, they provided us with samples so we could bring them home and wrote the price category that each slab fell into on the side of the samples so we didn't have to worry about remembering afterwards. Very transparent and straightforward process. 2. Once we decided to go with Marble.com, we worked with Leo, Brendan, Don, and Robert throughout the process. The team was, again, very patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. We visited the office twice after picking our stone (to see the slab and look for another piece for our bathroom vanity), and they greeted us with smiles and answered our stone care questions. If I called to ask a question, either someone picked up right away or I got a call back within a reasonable time after leaving a voicemail, which is all I could hope for. The templating appointment was also straight forward and Robert was precise and patient with his work. 3. I believe you can learn a lot about a company when things do not go as planned because of an unexpected situation. It's all easy when things go planned, but unexpected situations are where you learn the most. The way a company handles such situations says a lot about their character and how much they care about their customers. We had such a situation, and the team handled everything as quickly as possible. They were all smiles and prioritized us as customers. I appreciate that immensely and couldn't be more thankful to have chosen them to help us make our vision for our kitchen and bathroom come to life. Tips: 1. Bring a layout with measurements of your counter top with you. They will be able to determine square footage, edge linear footage, etc, and give you a paper with the price categories. That way you can pick which price category of stone you want to look at, and you don't waste time looking at things that are completely out of budget. I truly do recommend Marble.com to anyone who is looking to have new countertops installed. The Marble.com- Danbury team (specifically Leo, Brendan, Don, Robert) is excellent.

U. S. Granite - Obviously measurement is completely off. Even the gap that's supposed to sit flush against the wall is not accurate!

My MAJOR issue is that my beautiful new bathrooms have a yellow silicon caulk all throughout it . I noticed it immediately and was told it was because the floors in our hallway were redone .. they installed when there was no flooring so it was clear they were being redone but we were not warned this would be an issue. Regardless they came out redid it which I appreciated . However weeks later it was back to yellow after using the cleaning products they suggested . I am now being told I have to pay 300+ dollars for them to come out and redo it. This is after spending thousands on new counters . All I see when I walk into my bathrooms is yellow caulk and it infuriates me . I emailed with Marie back and forth but she was unwilling to help and said she had never heard of this issue before . I found that very difficult to imagine since we were barely using the bathrooms at the time it yellowed .

Do not do business with this company. I got four quotes to replace my kitchen countertops,…read moreincluding one from them. I gave each company my measurements which included a 4-inch backsplash. U.S. Granite was the least expensive. I asked Marie, my salesperson, at least three times in emails and text messages to please give me the most accurate estimate possible so I wouldn't be surprised when the final bill was due. My estimate was $3500, the final cost was $4500. My measurements were accurate. And here's the thing, you pay half the amount of the estimate before they come to measure, then you pay the full cost once they do the templating and BEFORE they install (which they also don't tell you). The person who comes out to do the template asks for the money in full before he leaves. So you're stuck -- you can't change your mind or you lose your hefty deposit. Other companies come and do the measurement for a nominal fee so you are dealing with an accurate price. This at its worst is bait and switch and at its best, incompetence. I would have preferred an accurate estimate rather than lowballing me to get a sale. They also are terrible communicators and border on being rude. There are so many choices with regard to countertops, so if the quote is too good to be true, be wary. Joanne Faryon, Wilton CT
