TERRIBLE customer service. Sold us a stone counter and claimed it would hold up. First day, it chipped and stained. After repeated emails, they NEVER responded Except to say they'd get back to us. Reasons to work with Marble.com: 1. Initially, we literally visited about 10 different granite locations between Danbury, Bethel, Brookfield, and New Milford because we had no idea what we wanted at the time and none of the slabs we were seeing were catching our attention right away within our price range. We visited Marble.com randomly and instantly were shown multiple slabs within our budget and noticed right away that there were more stones available here for a more reasonable price than anywhere else. More importantly, they were stones that caught our eye. Leo and the team were patient (since we weren't really sure what we wanted initially), and as we determined which ones we liked best, they provided us with samples so we could bring them home and wrote the price category that each slab fell into on the side of the samples so we didn't have to worry about remembering afterwards. Very transparent and straightforward process. 2. Once we decided to go with Marble.com, we worked with Leo, Brendan, Don, and Robert throughout the process. The team was, again, very patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. We visited the office twice after picking our stone (to see the slab and look for another piece for our bathroom vanity), and they greeted us with smiles and answered our stone care questions. If I called to ask a question, either someone picked up right away or I got a call back within a reasonable time after leaving a voicemail, which is all I could hope for. The templating appointment was also straight forward and Robert was precise and patient with his work. 3. I believe you can learn a lot about a company when things do not go as planned because of an unexpected situation. It's all easy when things go planned, but unexpected situations are where you learn the most. The way a company handles such situations says a lot about their character and how much they care about their customers. We had such a situation, and the team handled everything as quickly as possible. They were all smiles and prioritized us as customers. I appreciate that immensely and couldn't be more thankful to have chosen them to help us make our vision for our kitchen and bathroom come to life. Tips: 1. Bring a layout with measurements of your counter top with you. They will be able to determine square footage, edge linear footage, etc, and give you a paper with the price categories. That way you can pick which price category of stone you want to look at, and you don't waste time looking at things that are completely out of budget. We chose Marble.com to install granite countertops in our kitchen. Only 1 person arrived for the template process and he was gruff and spent over 3 hours. During the installation one of the backsplashes was cracked. When I pointed this out AFTER the install the installers laughed and applied some sort of compound to repair. All backsplashes were @ 1/8" too short. The lead installer told me to by some caulk to make up the difference. Even though we didn't like the template and installation experience we do like the countertops. So we gave them another try for the countertops in our master bath and children's bathroom. Our salesperson was clueless and charged us for edges which were free. The manager was incredibly rude and was not happy that we wanted to take 4 samples back to see how they looked in the bathrooms. Because of this we decided to go with a local company and we were very pleased with the experience. My advice - STAY AWAY. read more

We had a very tight budget and really didn't want laminate counter tops for our recent kitchen renovation. We went to a few different places and by far, these guys were the cheapest. We had looked at another place where the bid came in a few hundred dollars higher, but since Marble.com throws in a free sink, the prices were too good to pass up. I was skeptical about the quality and installation, but they exceeded my expectations. They had everything scheduled and ready ahead of schedule. The measuring and installation were quick. Went to marble.com to purchase stone and counter tops for our weekend house. Decent selection but the rest fell apart. We ordered and paid but the installation was done incorrectly and they refused to correct the issue. (backsplashes were installed in some areas that didn't require it and in other instances they were not installed where they were supposed to be) I made several calls to try and speak with someone to work through a resolution. I finally got through to an Eastern European gentleman who put me on hold and came back 3 minutes later to inform me that to "we checked the recordings of our calls with you and confirmed that we installed it correctly." I disputed that claim and told him I would not pay the final bill unless the issues were fixed. He then aggressively told me that they would put a lien on my house and have it deducted from my paycheck. A lot of threatening talk ensued before he hung up on me. Buyer beware! We had a great experience with Marble.com up until they installed the countertops... I initially went to the showroom in Danbury and picked out 6 samples. They told me that once we picked a stone, they could tape off the counters and email me the pictures for me to approve, before they fabricated the counters. I said that sounds good as it would save me a trip to the store. We decided to go with one that was labeled "Sunset" and called the store to let them know. They then taped off the counters and emailed me photos. I gave them the "go ahead" to cut the stone. A few days later they came out to do the install. They gave me a time window when they planned on coming by to do the install but said they would call me 45 minutes before they came to the house so I could meet them there. I received a call from my carpenter later in the day and he said the counter guys were there at the house and were asking about a check. I headed over to the house, and was surprised to see what had been installed. The color of the counters was definitely wrong. They didn't call me on their way, so when I got there 10 minutes later the counters were already installed. Had I seen the counters on the truck when they pulled in, I would have sent them back. I reached out to the Danbury office to explain the situation. They said that because I had given the "go ahead" after looking at the pictures, that there was nothing they could do. As you can imagine, I was very frustrated that some sort of mix up had happened. The counters I ordered were an off white, with a bit of gray and a very little amount of tan in them. The counters I received were 100% tan. After multiple phone calls with the Danbury store, they admitted that there are TWO different stones called "Sunset." One is "Sunset Ivory" and one is "Sunset Gold." Apparently the sample I was given (which was only labeled "Sunset") was Sunset Ivory. We had NO IDEA there was another type of Sunset counter, and that was never explained to us. I called in and said I want the "Sunset" counters, and they said they would tape and send pics to me. The pictures they send DO NOT look like the counters that were installed. They look like the sample I had. Apparently the white lighting of the warehouse and possibly the camera flash when they took the photos means that they didn't look tan at all. What was very disappointing to me was that the company wasn't willing to take any responsibility in the matter. They offered me a $385 credit, which was, borderline, a joke. The counters + install was $4,900+. Then they said they'd give me $600 off my next job with them, and all I could think is "why would I do another job with you guys?" After not answering my specific question the first couple times I called them back, they admitted over the phone that they pulled the wrong stone (not the sample they gave me) and taped it, however since "I said go ahead" to the photos, there was nothing else they could do for me. Ironically my company is in real estate and has done over 18 kitchens with Marble.com in the last 2 years, and have another 5+ kitchens that will need stone this year and another potentially 20+ in the next 2 years from now based on projects in the pipeline. I mentioned this to them, but they didn't seem to care at all. Basically they pulled and taped the wrong stone, sent me pictures that were of the wrong stone (but based on lighting and picture quality we couldn't tell the difference). Then they installed the counters before I could even see them arrive on the truck. When compared with my sample, they look totally different. To top it off, they don't want to take more than $385 off the price when they acknowledge they made the mistake that created this whole problem. BUYER BEWARE, STAY AWAY from this place Marble.com. I have been there 3 times already to try and pick up my order and each time something is not finished. I had received a call first time it was ready, went there and pieces weren't cut to template provided. Second attempt pieces were stained and still not cut. Third time edges were not polished and scratches in marble. This place is a bunch of incompetent morons. Go elsewhere believe me, even if it's a few dollars more. Oh and asked for a refund to get pieces elsewhere and was told they can't because pieces were cut already. read more

I already posted my review when All Granite installed my granite. Now I am back here to let everyone know that even after having taken them to court and after having won my case (the judge was actually appalled when he saw the pictures of the shabby workmanship and poor quality and suggested that I should have sued for more money given all of the inconvenience they caused me) I am still trying to get my money. They do not return emails or phone calls. They have been unprofessional, rude and impolite during every encounter I have had with them, EXCEPT the purchasing phase. Once they get your money they could care less about you. It's easy to be lured in by their cheap prices, as I was, but take my warning seriously and stay away - you will only regret using marble.com. read more

We originally ordered quartzite for our kitchen countertops. Victor, the installer, was very professional, courteous and meticulous .The countertops looked beautiful. But 1 week in, we realized that the countertops that were labeled quartzite were actually marble. Extremely soft (plastic bowls scratched the tops) and etched with common kitchen items (lemon, vinegar). Unfortunately Marble.com would not recognize the mistake. They refused to acknowledge that they installed the wrong stone. I wanted the marble out of my house. I picked out a new stone (granite), and had to have the original stone removed and replaced with the granite at my expence. Victor came and did the removal and new installation of the granite. Victor removed the original stone with care not damaging my new cabinets. His installation of the granite was flawless. You would never know I had to change the stone. My kitchen looks amazing because of Victor. I would never buy quartzite or use marble.com again. They do not stand behind their products.. read more

After a satisfactory experience in choosing granite counter for our kitchen, we have had a nightmare since. When they installed (one guy who knew what he was doing, and two self-proclaimed 'not my regular crew') he cut the granite in the house - because the sink was not measured correctly - for 45 minutes. There was dust EVERYWHERE in my downstairs. They did not tell me (even though I was home) or I would have hung plastic and at least covered my open kitchen cabinets. After contacting the company multiple times via email and phone, I still could not get them to pay for a professional clean of my home. They offered me a free cutting board - but I really needed my house clean. A month later I still am cleaning. Granite dust actually 'sanded' my wood railing to the second floor. I gave them multiple opportunities to make it right, but they blew me off. I have never complained on line or even publicly about a service before. read more

We needed to replace our granite counter in the kitchen. Our experience with Marble.com in Danbury CT was absolutely amazing. Leo and Brendan were knowledgeable about the different granites, answered all of our questions. They were patient and helpful every step of the way. Leo and Brendan continuously kept us updated and were absolute gems to work with. Then we had their team come to the house to remove the damaged granite that we were replacing and we wanted to preserve our backsplash. Victor and his team were just as wonderful. They arrived on time, they were so polite, they were quiet and they removed all of the granite with no damage to back splash. They created our templates, made recommendations, clearly Victor is an expert at removal, template creation and installation. Victor and his team came back to install and we could not be happier!!!
