A very positive experience at the Tile Shop. I am a homeowner remodeling a bathroom from the studs out. Sandy is an incredibly patient and helpful salesperson. The staff was very accommodating with deliveries and returns for items we decided not to use. Francis and Sandy were both very helpful with installation advice and calculations. The selection and samples of rooms showing the product on the walls and floors is fantastic. Joe is the best salesperson there. The corporation pays very little to hiring talented people with design background so the staff cannot and should not necessarily give you design advice. This is a huge mistake. The selection is amazing. You'd better know what you're looking for. Ask Joe. He knows everything about stone, porcelain ceramic etc He should be the manager. As a designer I worked there a short time and I was so excited. I was a kid in a candy store. Unfortunately they demanded we lift 50lb bags. And I just couldn't. Tweaking their hiring requirements could dramatically change their business. At Tile America the staff never lifts those items. But all in all if you know what you want The Tile Shop should be in your shopping list. read more

As my wife & I walked around the store, I overheard 2 guys who worked there talking trash about the lady we had an appointment with. Lori was a BIG help with our remodel. As of today I'm still waiting for my delivery. I've called every few days for the status. One day I ask for Lori and was told she busy. I asked maybe you can assist me on my delivery, and he quickly replied, I don't think so! Never tell a customer this!!! You work there so do what you need to do. My wife and I were in the middle of a bathroom remodel and had a supply issue with another company that caused delays. We were under tight time constraints and needed to find high quality tile in short order. When I went to the store in Danbury, I explained the situation to one of the managers, Joe, and he was incredibly receptive and helpful. After reviewing a wide selection, we purchased tile at a reasonable price and it was delivered two days later. The end result was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend. read more

Althought the staff is pleasant, they are not as knowledgeable as I would have preferred. We came to the store to support a local company instead of going on Amazon, ebay, etc. But, when picking out a small shower shelf, the rep gave is marble. That is not what you want on a shower shelf! It ruins it no matter how much you seal it. So, now I spent $100 for a shelf that looks awful. NOT HAPPY with the store for not advising of the issue before we gave our $$$ to them. read more

Found several types of tiles and asked to be sent pricing and availability because computers were down. Had to follow up with several calls and only got email with price. Emailed, called, left several messages and salesperson hasn't bothered to get back to me. Worst customer service. I stood at the register for 15 minutes. I asked if someone could help me and was told to hang on. Service person continued to assist a customer with tile and watch him as he looked on his phone. If I didn't need this specific cleaner for my tile, I would have walked out. Maddening!!!! read more

My fiancé and I are remodeling our whole house and I have made it my mission to find the nicest and most helpful sales people in Connecticut, whether it be tile, cabinets, sinks, etc. and we have found our go to tile shop at The Tile Shop in Brookfield. We first went to the Tile Shop on a Sunday and Blaine greeted us as soon as he walked in the door (he still had his coat on and was just getting in to work, but he made it a point to greet us and we really valued that). We were just scoping the store out at this point, but he was most helpful and walked us through the whole showroom, explaining to us what each section contained. The next time we went back, we were immediately greeted by Lori, who is also AMAZING. We ended up buying our tile that day and left with the best experience. Not to mention, The Tile Shop has one of the best tile layouts we have seen in all of our journeys. The store is organized and is very easy to see all of the tile. You don't have to flip through tons of boards, worrying if they will fall over or not, the tile is displaying in an appealing manner and is very organized. The Tile Shop is the best tile in CT!! read more

BUYER BEWARE! Visited the store and took some samples home which you need to buy and when you return them you get your money back. They never told us that anything over $10 has to be refunded by a company check...OK, not so bad.. but when they don't refund the full amount that's where it gets bad! I called corporate several times and they gave me the same story that the manager of the store will get back to me and the rest of my refund will be in the mail! IT NEVER HAPPENED! Remember people, you get what you pay for. I would never recommend this place to anyone.. They constantly lie. Remember, you have been warned! I only gave it one star because it won't let me post this review without at least one star.. This was the worst lying place I have been to! So glad that I found my tile someplace else.. I visited so many stores, from big box stores to Tile America, and none of them could hold a candle to The Tile Shop! Our salesperson, Lori, was absolutely fantastic. She took time to listen to what we wanted, and then brought us around the store showing us EXACTLY what we wanted, when we didn't even really know what we were looking for! Steve, the store manager at the time was excellent too. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and I have been recommending The Tile Shop to everyone I know. Other stores are only interested in helping you if you're willing to pay an arm and a leg for installation, but The Tile Shop really works for a DIY remodel like mine. Top notch!!! read more

I have always seen this place atop the hill across from Stew Leonard's - and finally went in. A contractor suggested we go here. The selection is massive and it is not until you actually see it and feel it that you understand the quality difference you will get over items you would get at Home Depot or Lowes. Allllllll of the salespeople are extremely personable, and do not pressure you. I even thought I dropped my Fitbit and they all helped me in looking for it ;). The space is huge and they have many kitchen and bath displays that are well thought out and really help you in planning colors, textures, etc. While we probably spent $1000 more than we wanted to - I knew that if I tried to find something comparable at Home Depot or Lowes I would kick myself every time I walk into my bathroom or kitchen. I spent over 30 minutes walking around The Tile Shop yesterday. Only one person approached me to help and she said she would give me time to browse and come back to me. She never came back. ALL of the other employees were standing around chatting it up with one another. One employee was rude enough to come up to me and say, "You know you are in the stone section, right?" It's like I wasn't even there. They just lost a $1500 sale. I won't ever go back. read more
