All the staff members in grey shirts salute you and call you sir when you walk by. They don't seem to do any work though. Just whole bunches of them standing around looking like robots, all staring in the same direction. Weird. But they're harmless if you leave them alone. And they seem to have gotten chubbier over the years...maybe having a nice cafeteria in your work place isn't a great thing... The building itself is ginormous and is very impressive looking. Very clean. But, the entry and exit doors are always broken, allowing the wind to blow right through the complex, completely negating any benefits of a "green" building. Who designed these doors?? The gym is top notch. Much better than my basement. Gym staff all look fit and seem to know what they're talking about. I highly recommend patronizing this place if you have the right credentials, even though they don't really want or need your business. I'd give it 5 stars. But we all know there's plenty of progress to be made. As soon as you call yourself #1, you're done making improvements. That goes for our country as well. Let's get to work!

I came in here to get a police report on 1/10/2014. They didn't have the accident ready and the…read morelady who was working in the office apologized and gave me a number to call to make sure I didn't waste my time coming in to check everyday to see if it was ready. Called the station, daily, in the morning to see if it was ready and each time the officer on the phone was very polite and told me to call them the next day because my report wasn't ready. Finally when I called on 1/16 in the morning, they had my report and told me I could come any time to go pick it up. He told me to remember my report number and told me that I needed a 10 dollar money order to go pick it up (make sure you have a money order - they will not accept any checks or cash). When I went to pick up my report I sat there for maybe 10 minutes and Officer Scott helped me out and got me my receipt and gave me my accident report without any problem. Besides the fact that the report wasn't ready in 3 days like the officer in the scene of the accident had told me, my interactions with the officers in the precinct was very excellent. Also the officers who arrived at the scene of the accident were great too. They made a horrible situation into an easy one to handle - I wish I wrote down their names to give me them credit for making things so easy. Hopefully I never have to come again to a police station for an accident report, but if I do I hope I get the same attention that I received in this precinct.

The whole time the officers cloned my cell phone but found nothing in my background so they wrote a summons for disorderly conduct in which the officers failed to show up in court and the judge threw it out. Note when you're arrested by NYPD your cell phone is cloned and malware is uploaded in your cellphone that allows their undercover auxiliary cops and informants to remotely see your cellular activity in real time and even delete information they deem threatening to them.

Most of the hotels I've stayed in pretty much expect tips and the food is always a bit overpriced- not at Rikers. My vacation started at 100 centre street after two gentlemen and the court system as a whole, decided I should quit my gainful-tax paying lifestyle and spend a few years in the care of the correction institution of NY. I give the bus experience 4 stars for value (it was free) but 1 star for the unfriendly staff. 3. Surprisingly great water pressure and shower temperature. 4. Very roomy and yet cosy cots. 5. The bread (served at every meal time) must be some type of local artisanal or ethnically appropriate recipe because it's unlike most store bought bread or any I've tasted previously. 6. The rest of the food is normal pseudo-American fair, pasta, beans and rice, etc. nothing to write about really. 7. Book selection for reading is average and I got a lot of reading done. 8. They have card games and chess/checkers, dominos etc for entertaining times with your new found friends. 9. Staff. The staff need retraining in customer service based duties. Especially the white shirted "captains". Not sure what they believe to be a captain of...but it sure isn't making the customers feel welcome. They often curse wear frowny faced scowls....it just generally seems like they don't want to work there. Every now and then (if your lucky) you'll get to see a Broadway type performance art piece featuring a neo-modern take on the classic Ninja Turtles. They come out yelling and cursing and telling everyone to lay face down on the floor....oh boy it's exciting!!! They prefer Donatellos character though using the culturally appropriate Bo or long stick type weapon. As a side note, I'd really like to see more variety in the characters played and such different weapons. All in all if a cultural diverse, but gender specific, lots of free time vacation is your thing (and by that I mean non-Anglo Caucasian) I'd say you'll love it.

This is how and why I found myself in front of my sisters apartment building, with my suitcase, the temperature dropping, and no idea what to do next. The call had come a few days prior and I found myself speaking to an officer of the 112th Precinct. Unable to even get into the building, and knowing it had been sealed by the police, I headed to the agreeable close station. There the desk Sargent on duty and civilian present (I assume a community service officer) were sympathetic and were able to help me understand what I needed to do to get a court order to enter to get clothing for my sister and go from there. It was a bit of relief to go from unsure to having a mission that I needed to accomplish. 3 days later I was back. This time it was to wait for an officer (or two) to escort me and supervise my time int he apartment) which would be under seal till the court declared me an administrator. They again were friendly, professional, and sympathetic. I would have to wait. Unsaid was that this was not a high priority. So I waited. It took many hours, but they were able to free up 2 officers to head over with me. Again the officers who escorted me were friendly and professional. It was appreciated in this trying time.

I went back 1 week later and the officer told me fill up some papers. never give me a copy. wen back to pick a report and give me a clean slip to call back for the complaint report. calling several time and no body answer. finally got someone and she pass me the report number. Now, the slip has no dates, address or type of crime writing. I write de complaint number. And that's is all? . I request a copy of my complaint, she told me they don't give it!
