Called the station, daily, in the morning to see if it was ready and each time the officer on the phone was very polite and told me to call them the next day because my report wasn't ready. Finally when I called on 1/16 in the morning, they had my report and told me I could come any time to go pick it up. He told me to remember my report number and told me that I needed a 10 dollar money order to go pick it up (make sure you have a money order - they will not accept any checks or cash). When I went to pick up my report I sat there for maybe 10 minutes and Officer Scott helped me out and got me my receipt and gave me my accident report without any problem. Besides the fact that the report wasn't ready in 3 days like the officer in the scene of the accident had told me, my interactions with the officers in the precinct was very excellent. Also the officers who arrived at the scene of the accident were great too. They made a horrible situation into an easy one to handle - I wish I wrote down their names to give me them credit for making things so easy. Hopefully I never have to come again to a police station for an accident report, but if I do I hope I get the same attention that I received in this precinct.

You guys do not respect people and it's crazy because we pay your salary through our taxes I wish these people would have some respect others even if my dilemma isn't as severe as somebody being I would appreciate it if somebody would've came as soon as possible instead of dragging it on for 7 hours having me call time and time again realistically I probably won't get my car back because these people don't even care to look for it. I even let them know that there was a few cameras where it was given a ticket in Manhattan, but they don't care. They haven't even gone to check it so to hell with the cops you guys are so ass.

Most of the hotels I've stayed in pretty much expect tips and the food is always a bit overpriced- not at Rikers. You can pay extra for "commissary" which is basically junk food and extra toiletries. 2. My vacation started at 100 centre street after two gentlemen and the court system as a whole, decided I should quit my gainful-tax paying lifestyle and spend a few years in the care of the correction institution of NY. Apparently, using prescription medication without a prescription warrants this. I was chained to another fine vacationer and we were swiftly taken by bus to Rike's. I give the bus experience 4 stars for value (it was free) but 1 star for the unfriendly staff. 3. Surprisingly great water pressure and shower temperature. 4. Very roomy and yet cosy cots. 5. The bread (served at every meal time) must be some type of local artisanal or ethnically appropriate recipe because it's unlike most store bought bread or any I've tasted previously. 6. The rest of the food is normal pseudo-American fair, pasta, beans and rice, etc. nothing to write about really. 7. Book selection for reading is average and I got a lot of reading done. 8. They have card games and chess/checkers, dominos etc for entertaining times with your new found friends. 9. Staff. The staff need retraining in customer service based duties. Especially the white shirted "captains". Not sure what they believe to be a captain of...but it sure isn't making the customers feel welcome. They often curse wear frowny faced scowls....it just generally seems like they don't want to work there. Every now and then (if your lucky) you'll get to see a Broadway type performance art piece featuring a neo-modern take on the classic Ninja Turtles. They come out yelling and cursing and telling everyone to lay face down on the floor....oh boy it's exciting!!! They prefer Donatellos character though using the culturally appropriate Bo or long stick type weapon. As a side note, I'd really like to see more variety in the characters played and such different weapons. All in all if a cultural diverse, but gender specific, lots of free time vacation is your thing (and by that I mean non-Anglo Caucasian) I'd say you'll love it.

Highway Unit 3 - Officer Morales #16688 It's extremely…read moredisappointing to see the way you treated my cousin and the complete lack of courtesy and humanity shown during this situation. My cousin pulled over on the Clearview Expressway simply to offer assistance to someone whose vehicle would not start. He was trying to do a good deed and help someone who appeared to be stranded. At no point did he ask this person for money or attempt to solicit business from them. Despite that, Officer Morales proceeded to place my cousin in handcuffs and accuse him of soliciting. Instead of taking a moment to understand the situation or ask questions, he immediately treated my cousin as though he had done something wrong. There is absolutely nothing wrong with stopping to help someone in need. Law enforcement should be about protecting and serving the community, not making people feel as though they are criminals for trying to do a good deed. I sincerely hope this situation is reviewed and that there is accountability for how my cousin was treated. Basic respect, professionalism, and common sense should apply to everyone!! And to top it off, he impounded the vehicle! How miserable can one person be?

This is how and why I found myself in front of my sisters apartment building, with my suitcase, the temperature dropping, and no idea what to do next. The call had come a few days prior and I found myself speaking to an officer of the 112th Precinct. Unable to even get into the building, and knowing it had been sealed by the police, I headed to the agreeable close station. There the desk Sargent on duty and civilian present (I assume a community service officer) were sympathetic and were able to help me understand what I needed to do to get a court order to enter to get clothing for my sister and go from there. It was a bit of relief to go from unsure to having a mission that I needed to accomplish. 3 days later I was back. This time it was to wait for an officer (or two) to escort me and supervise my time int he apartment) which would be under seal till the court declared me an administrator. They again were friendly, professional, and sympathetic. I would have to wait. Unsaid was that this was not a high priority. So I waited. It took many hours, but they were able to free up 2 officers to head over with me. Again the officers who escorted me were friendly and professional. It was appreciated in this trying time.
