Best pond guy in the area. My pond pump had stop and have a number of Kio. Filberto and his wife came over in 48 hours. He fixed the pump saving me money and cleaned the pond in under 2 hours. This is the second time, I used Filberto and his wife for pond maintenance after hiring someone else who took almost 4 hours to do the same job, and charged more. I recommend Filberto and his wife to my neighbors for Pond cleaning, especially if you have fish (some pond cleaners wont clean your pond when you have fish, they want you to remove them). read more

Extremely poor experience. My wife answered the door in a cordial manner and answered the questions posed to her. After she felt the conversation was over, she let him know that he would have to move his truck as he was blocking our shared driveway to which he became offended and as my wife was finishing a sentence he turned around and drove away. Upon me calling him, he returned to a respectful tone and tried to tell me my wife was disrespectful to him. I have my doorbell footage of the interaction where at no point was my wife hostile or rude to him. He has lost what would have been a repeat customer and I am very disappointed that my wife and I were treated in completely different manners along with him driving off without even saying he was not going to do the job. read more

I reached out to Filberto. He initially responded immediately and said he could come on Wednesday. I sent him a picture of the pond (per his request) and two follow-up emails. Heard nothing back. On Wednesday, just before 5:00PM, he said he could stop by, but was still in Portland, so could be a while. At best it meant he'd arrive by 6:00PM which would be far too late to do any work. He then asked if he could reschedule it to the next day. When I questioned him, he said "Hopefully you'd fine that reliable person". In short, he was unresponsive and unreliable. I ended up going with someone else. read more

They did an exceptional job of cleaning my pond and replacing my pump. The price was also reasonable.

We had a different company build our pond 3 years ago for a lot of money. It never worked correctly with the water tank emptied sometimes in less than 2 hours. He came back to fix it probably 15 times. We had it turned off more than on. NW Ponds completely rebuilt it in 2 days and made it the magical thing I wanted. They are extremely experienced and wonderful to work with read more

NW Pond Services - a water feature in a backyard - Landscaping Near Me

I just moved into a home with a large fountain/pond that was in desperate need of a good cleaning and check-up. Having never had such a feature, I had NO idea how it all worked or where to start. Filberto and family came and did a deep clean and inspection, as well as taking the time to show me how it all worked. I'll be glad to have them back again for further cleaning and maintenance! read more

We called NW Pond and told them we had a leak and asked them to fix the leak, look for any additional leaks or areas that needed repair and also pressure wash and do a yearly inspection and maintenance check. Soon after they left, it was clear the water feature was still leaking. We called the same day and let them know. They returned several days later and attempted to fix the area we had identified as a possible leak, without attempting to search for any other areas that were possibly leaking. The next day, we called and let them know we still had a leak issue. They informed us, for them to return to repair any further leaks, it would be more $$. We are now going to call another service who specializes in leaks. If you want your water feature pressure washed, this service might be acceptable. Otherwise, save your money. read more

EUREKA!!! I have FINALLY found my go-to pond company!!! Filiberto and Lorena did an outstanding job cleaning our water feature at an excellent rate! Filiberto promptly provided a quote and responded rapidly to all texts and calls. He listened carefully to our concerns and offered solutions. Filiberto worked around our schedule, showed up exactly on time and performed the work within the time frame he promised. The end result exceeded my expectations. I should have done before and after photos. The water feature looks brand new. He was even able to replace lights that we've been told many times were irreplaceable. He is the most skilled, professional and affordable pond specialist we've had in over 20 years and we've tried many. I'm so happy to have found Filiberto. Thanks fellow Yelpers for introducing me to this excellent company! read more

Terrible business. This company was recommended to me and what a mistake that was! I paid Filiberto $1,000 to fix a leaky pond. He swooshed in and out with his sons and it still leaked after they "fixed it" the same day. Came back a couple times for a short amount of time and threw some silicone on a couple different spots. He kept promising me they'd make it good as new. Then he supposedly hurt his back and stopped communicating. The last I heard was he'd fix it this spring. I emailed and I texted and he quit communicating. I paid him by check and he asked me to write it out to his son so he could dodge some the taxes. And I'm still left with a pond that does not function. read more

Had problems with a water feature, a koi pond and irrigation. Filberto and his wonderful wife fixed everything!!! No problems just pure happiness. I can't' say enough good stuff about this company. USE THEM!!! But please do not book them up. :-) read more

I highly recommend Filberto. I had several large rocks that blew out of the back of my water feature. Filberto and his son got those rocks back where they belong and also were able to reposition the big rock where the water comes out. He is amazing, knows his stuff, is very reasonable and guarantees his work. read more

I called Filiberto based on a comparison of companies near me, and I am very glad I did. He was an excellent communicator from the first contact, and he made it easy to schedule a consultation. Ultimately, he did me a great service, not only accurately assessing my pond but also teaching me a bit about the pump and other components. When I have need for maintenance in the future, there is no doubt that I will call Filiberto and NW Pond Services again, and I also would highly recommend to others. read more

I recently contacted NW Pond Services regarding a major rehab and leak in a large backyard water feature. Filiberto arrived within a reasonable period of time to diagnose the problem. After professional review, I tried a suggested remedy at no charge, that did not work. I then contracted with Filiberto and his family to rehabilitate my water feature. The job was completed very quickly and professionally. My water feature is about 10 years old and has never looked better or operated as efficiently. I would highly recommend NW Pond Services to anyone who needs top quality work at affordable pricing. Howard P. read more

Filiberto came to the rescue. Have a large custom water feature on upper back deck and would not restart after winter. He came out on short notice (did play phone tag) to diagnose it and made a temporary repair until new pump could be ordered. He researched best pump and had me order it. Then arrived at end of a long day to install it and clean up the water feature for a very reasonable price. Would recommend him to anyone needing honest, reliable and knowledgeable person for any pond or waterfall. Thank you. read more

After my previous pond service moved without notice or recommendation of who to use as a replacement I found Filiberto and am glad I did. He responded to text messages with an estimate and we were soon able to establish a time for him and his wife to come out to clean our pond. The professionalism with which he conducted himself and the quality of his work has me hoping I have found our new go-to pond service for several years to come. read more

My pond had been losing water, and the pump motor burned out. I called Filiberto based on his excellent Yelp reviews. He came out to have a look, and correctly told me that the pump needed to be replaced. He would install the same model for $500, later in the week. He seemed very personable and knowledgeable. After he left, I took the pump out and opened it up. Completely fried. Saw the same Little Giant model on Amazon for $290, delivered. Filiberto wasn't surprised, and told me that he needed to charge me $80 for a service call (to look for the leak) and a $60 fee to "install" the pump, (understanding that it would take him less than 5 minutes) because driving to my location takes time and gas. I told him to go ahead, because I already saved $200 on the pump, and he needs to make a living. He didn't show up on the date he set, and didn't respond to several texts. He didn't return a message left on his business voice mail. A few days later he did text me, and told me he was fixing a leak in his bathroom at home when he was supposed to be here. He and his wife eventually came out, he replaced the pump (4 minutes) turned on the pond, and determined that roots had overgrown the top of the waterfall, moving some rocks around, and diverting water out of the upper reservoir. They moved rocks for about 10 minutes, and told me that they might have fixed the problem, but if the liner was disrupted by the roots, it would be a bigger deal to fix. A week later, I texted him to say the pond was still losing water. He replied promptly, texting "We need to think on how to approach it and if it's necessary to take the upper water fall apart and clear all of those roots which is a lot of work." I told him OK, but received no response. A week later, I texted him again, and asked if he wanted to fix it. No response. A week after that, I asked him to recommend someone to fix it if he didn't want to. Three days later, he sent me a text asking if the pond was losing water at the same rate. Now I'm excited, thinking that we might be having a conversation about fixing my pond. I told him that the pump had been shut off. I heard nothing more from him. A week after that, I texted him again that his repair didn't work, and asked if he was coming back to look at it or not. No response. A few days after that I texted him that I was going to call the Construction Contractors Board, because he was paid to fix my pond, it didn't work, and he was ducking my calls. That got a pretty immediate response. He explained that the $80 fee is just to search for and fix easy leaks, and that if the roots are causing the problem, I might need a "major reconstruction" done by a "major landscaping company." He wrote "I'm just a maintenance guy." I get it now, he doesn't like to do anything complicated. I didn't really want to bother him to do a job that's outside his comfort zone or physical capabilities. It's been more than a month, and I've started looking again for a pond contractor when I stumbled across Filiberto's new website showing him smiling and standing next to a bulldozer. He cites his years of experience building water features for Hughes, and offers to build ponds, remodel older water features, and install fences, patios and driveways. The website shows many pictures of water features in various stages of construction. Baffling. Maybe he didn't want to work with me because he didn't make enough on the pump? read more

Great price and service, they were able to come out with in a weeks time. My pond was overgrown, Filberto cut out the overgrown plants, clean up my pond, and saved all the fish that live in there. I definitely recommend NW Pond Services. read more

The house I recently bought has a small pond. The previous owners said they had it cleaned once a year but would not recommend the company they'd used in the past. While trying to find a different service provider I came across NW Ponds and made an appointment. When Filiberto came to do the job he was prompt, efficient and his price was reasonable. He is very honest, he pointed out that the pump the previous owners had been sold last year by the company that they used was much bigger and more expensive than what was needed for a small pond. I thought he did a great job and would not hesitate to recommend his services. read more

I have no complaints about their services. The job was done well enough. They were prompt, polite. Just be aware they expect to be paid as close to immediately as possible. It can be off-putting if your'e not use to it. read more

We were losing a ton of water in one of our ponds. Filiberto came out and diagnosed the problem and gave us a reasonable bid. He came out in a timely manner and did a repair to our liner, lasered our pond and repositioned one of our waterfalls to lower the pond level, which solved our water loss issue. We plan on using NW Pond Services for our future repair if needed, and we are considering using him for our annual maintenance that we now do ourselves. read more

Great, professional experience working with Filiberto. He responded to my request for a quote within minutes and a day later our pond was cleaned like I'd never seen it before. I've had "philly" provide pond services since I moved into my home in 2012. At that time, I began looking for a landscaper, roof and gutters guy, appliance guy, housecleaner, septic tank guy, electrician, etc... Although I've switched between different personnel multiple times, I've stayed with Philly for my pond/waterfall since the beginning. He provides everything from pond maintenance and cleaning, to pond repairs, and to full scale pond designs. We have a fairly large waterfall feature at our home that empties into a large pond. He and his wife come regularly, often on short notice, and provide excellent and fairly-priced service. More importantly, his integrity is unmatched. I don't think Philly has the ability to cheat his customers. He simply tells you what needs to be done, and what doesn't need to be done. He has told me multiple times that there was no need for pond cleaning because the pond was already clean. I can tell that Philly takes a genuine pride in his work, and seeing a beautiful pond/waterfall feature is one of his top priorities. I trust him, and would highly recommend him to anybody in search of any pond or waterfall services. read more

Filberto expertly tended to my formal koi pond . He drained the pond, settled my koi into holding tanks, (very large fish ranging from 24" to 36") so I was concerned about their state of health. I talked to Filiberto yesterday and he was at my house at 8am this morning.. He dug around the bushes around my pond and figured out where water seemed to be diverting and emptying out.
