Very nice and helpful people, who helped me fixed my irrigation system by replacing two leaking valves and a few broken sprinklers with reasonable price. My irrigation system was built by the last home owner and I have not used it in the past year since I moved in. I didn't even know where are the sprinklers and I expected to see a few leaks. I called Rain Bite and they came, helped me find all the sprinklers, leaking valves, and broken pipes. They did this "inspection" for free. We scheduled the fixing on a Saturday. Dan is awesome. He was at my house 15 minutes after my first phone call and spent a good hour assessing the system to understand the issues. Despite it being a very busy season for him, he fit us into his schedule within a week so that we could have things running before our vacation. We started seeing a fair amount of water around a valve box. Set up an appointment with one of the bigger sprinkler companies but they were scheduled a few weeks out. I dug out the box to expose the hardware. They came and confirmed there was a leak at the box but said they didn't have the parts needed to fix it. Said it will take an additional 5-6 weeks to get someone out to fix the issue. Said if we signed up for yearly maintenance it would be sooner. Found Rain Rite, and had an appointment for two days later. Dan showed up, gave me his assessment of what he should fix (this is a very old system), and quoted a price, less than half of big co starting estimate. Found a soggy spot in our lawn and called a bunch of sprinkler/irrigation repair places on a Friday afternoon to see who'd be able to come by to assess the situation. Rain Rite was the only place to answer the phone and Dan and his partner came out the next day. Diagnosed a broken valve as well as "we haven't seen anything this old before"-itis. Sounded ominous but Dan was confident he could come out to fix it the next day (Sunday!). Showed up in the morning and got to work digging out a soggy mess and upgrading a little section of our system. This is not a review of the service performed by the business, but of its management. I called Rainrite Irrigation Services on a Monday, after reading many raving reviews, hoping to have our existing 1 acre irrigation area improved upon. Before any discussion about the job, I asked if our location was in their service area, upon which I was told "yes". I was given the option of a Friday appointment that same week, or one about 2 weeks from that Friday. I happened to have an appointment at the exact time of the earlier appointment, which I relayed to the lady on the phone, but told her that rather than wait a further two weeks, I would cancel my other appointment. Nine minutes before my appointment time, I got a text message from an employee at Rainrite saying "I'm sorry! I will cancel your appointment today because too far from us!" I called the business and was told that they thought that we were closer to Portland, and that they couldn't service us. We are about 35 miles away from their location. When I agreed to book the appointment, I was cautious to check with them that we were in their service area; as requested by them, I supplied them with our address; later, I cancelled my other appointment. Surely it was their responsibility to confirm our proximity to them at some time sooner than 9 minutes before our appointment! I took the steps to prevent mishaps, and they lacked the respect to take any. Since they thoughtlessly managed our situation, I believe it would have been appropriate for them to accommodate the extra miles, rather than annoy us to the point of writing this review. read more

I had recently noticed flooding at a spot in my front yard when I turn on my sprinkler. I guessed it could be a leak/broken pipe and called one of the sprinkler repair companies but since they were fully booked, they recommended that I get in touch with Dan and get my issue resolved as he is very good with sprinkler and irrigation repairs. Dan came out last week to repair two of our sprinkler heads, one spot that was flooding, and do some general maintenance so we were ready for the summer. He was so helpful and he explained everything that needed to be done so we felt good about the repairs. Plus he was able to fit us in with only one day notice so that it was working again before the heat. The price ended up being less than he quoted because he was able to repair a part rather than replace it, and was about 25% less than another estimate we'd received. Dan showed up in his Lexus and ready to do the job on the same evening. He helped fix my sprinkler leaking problem by changing out the old valves. It was raining that evening, so we couldn't really checked if leaking stopped. He did reassure me that leaking stopped. But next few days I'm still seeing leaks. Called his wife, he showed up and checked. He showed us the water meter being at zero, meaning I'm not wasting my money. Rain Rite is a family owned small business that does great work for a fair price. I noticed a wet spot in my front yard from what looked like a sprinkler issue. I called Rain Rite and spoke with Nini (Mimi?) on the phone to set up an appointment to have someone look at it the following evening. Dan and Khao missed the original appt time by an hour but got to work, assessed the issue right away and said they'd be back the following day to replace 2 old [busted] sprinkler valves. Fast forward to the next morning and they are here fixing the issue within a quiet couple of hours. I appreciate Nini, Dan and Khao for their wonderful work, and fast response time to fixing our irrigation issue. 3 of the other 4 companies we reached out to have yet to respond to our initial voicemail. I have a front lawn sprinkler system that is 20+ years old. The sprinkler system was watering the sidewalk and street as much as the lawn. Rain Rite came out checked out the system and listened to my concerns and wants and made recommendations. We came to an agreement and they came back a week later to do the work. They corrected all issues. Issues included replacing sprinkler bodies that had been compressed by tree roots and and bodies that had been pushed over (weird angles) spraying sidewalk and street. Don't overlook these guys. I called on Saturday and Dan was here the next day. I had issues with my sprinkler controller box and lack of water pressure. I recently had a new fence installed and that contractors workers broke some of my buried water pipes. Dan fixed everything. 15-yr-old drip irrigation system had valve issues. Didn't know who to call but received a referral to Dan from another company which was too busy to quote us. Dan's wife (family business) was professional and made an appt for him as soon as possible. Dan was early to the appt, gave us a reasonable quote (and I liked the quote per job, rather than an hourly rate), returned as promised 2 days later on a Saturday.
