I have a 7 station residential sprinkling system. Two of the stations were not operational and I had low water pressure at the remaining five. I called and left a message at Blue Whale Sprinkling Service based on the reviews I had read. I was surprised when Levi called me back within the hour. Summer is a busy time for irrigation repairs. Levi said he would be out the next day. Levi arrived on time and adjusted my pressure contol valve and backflow valve. He made some other adjustments to the control valves on stations 5 and 7. He found a broken wire on station 7 and ran a temporary wire to activate the station. The pressure problem was related to the backflow valve. The flow adjusting handles were broken and reducing the water pressure. When Levi was done, the pressure was better and all stations were functional. I was very pleased with his knowledge and expertise. I made an appointment to get the faulty backflow valve replaced. Levi and one of his team members arrived the following week and replaced the valve, the valve box, fine tuned my water pressure, and finished running a permanent wire to the control valve for station 7. Levi also replaced a faulty sprinkler head before he left. My 30 year old system performs better now than when it was new. I proposed spring time service, and instead, he kindly offered to show me how to turn the valve back on to be set for spring. Levi helped us activate our sprinkler system manually after last winter's winterization. Somehow, our sprinkler system's timer display was broken. He came back with the brand new control. During his testing, he found one of the zones was not working by using the sprinkler's control. He quickly did a diagnostic review and found one of the parts was not working. He came back again to replace the broken parts and did a test again. All zones are working now. He was super knowledgeable about our sprinkler system and charged reasonable service fees. I really wanted to like this company and leave a good review. However, I found Levi completely non-responsive. He came by mid-day to look at a couple issues including a leak, stuck his sticker on the control box. Then told me to contact a leak detection company and then call him once the leak was located. Later, that evening, I heard some noise in the back where Levi was and went out and Levi left the irrigation system on and water had been pouring out of the leak for hours, causing significant damage to a retaining wall. Additionally, when I contacted him to try and schedule to get the repair done, he didn't respond to multiple e-mails, and when I contacted him by phone, he told me to e-mail him and he would get back to me. BTW I didn't even tell him about his leaving the water on, so that certainly wasn't the reason he never responded. read more

I had scheduled (a week ago) for Levi to come out YESTERDAY to see why my front 3 sprinklers weren't coming on. Within a half an hour he diagnosed a pipe leak within a 3-foot radius of where he dropped a flag in my front yard. He said he could dig it out but I asked if I could do it and he said that would save me a lot of labor costs, so he showed me what to do and where then told me to text him when I found the leak. This afternoon I dug where he suggested, turned the sprinklers on, and sure enough I found the leak. I texted him and he sent two of his crew over (they had just finished a job in my area) within an hour! The guys spent about 30 minutes repairing the pipe then checked all my other sprinklers to make sure they worked properly. Just like that my sprinkler problems were fixed TODAY and my yard is all back to normal. The cost was very reasonable and not at all expensive (much less than I was expecting). These guys were all very professional, respectful, honest, and communicative. There's no reason for me to find another sprinkler service because Blue Whale is IT! read more
