Our system had been poorly designed and installed by a previous contractor, with a boggling number of buried pipes and connections to perforated driplines. One severely overtaxed line ran beneath a driveway and concrete wall and across challenging terrain, making its routing extremely difficult to decipher. Fortunately, I had saved some photos from the original landscape installation. Kang carefully worked through that cache of photos, identifying where pipes emerged and reconstructing how the system had been put together so the team could design something better. They are truly excellent problem-solvers. One experience particularly showed me how committed they were to getting the job right. Based partly on my suggestion, they initially excavated a location for the new valve box at the lower end of the yard, where another box already existed. Once they better understood the system, however, Kang realized there might not be enough water pressure to feed the new segments back uphill from that location. He checked in with me, explained the issue clearly, and said they were willing to proceed as planned--but strongly recommended relocating the box so the new system would work properly. They filled in the hole they had already dug, excavated a new valve box near the backflow preventer at the front of the yard, and installed approximately 150 feet of additional control wiring, all without increasing the price. They did this because they wanted the finished system to be right. That level of integrity is rare. Levi and his team were also wonderfully flexible about helping me find a practical scope of work. Their initial proposal addressed more of the system, but we worked together to prioritize the most critical repairs while allowing me to handle a few projects I felt comfortable taking on myself, including installing a new controller and completing some wiring. They even installed an extra valve for a future line and left me with parts so I can make that connection when I'm ready. I never felt pressured; I felt supported in making sensible decisions for both the system and my budget. Over one weekend, the team divided the overtaxed line into four manageable zones, installed new valves and lines, and rebuilt the section where excessive water had become a serious threat to our vine maple. They worked incredibly hard, communicated thoughtfully, and approached every challenge with skill and care. I could not recommend Blue Whale Sprinkler Service more highly. If you have a difficult irrigation problem and want a team that will think it through, explain your options, and care deeply about the quality of the result, call them.

We agreed on a plan and he wrote it up. I was pleased with the sales interaction because it didn't feel like "sales" but like an effort to find the best way to solve a problem. The super amazing part was the team that came out to do the actual work. Ryan and Jose were super nice and friendly, and always seemed to be genuinely smiling. At the end of the first day they hit a snag: there were multiple *massive* tree roots in our planned path. I was concerned, but they just suggested an alternate plan (which I actually liked even better) and didn't complain that it meant trenching further than expected. The planned work ended up being done just beautifully, and we can already see how well the new drainage is working. But what really blew me away was the "above and beyond" work that they did. I had some random rocks lying around, that I hadn't decided what to do with, and after asking permission, Ryan built them into my existing landscape! It looks so much better! The drainage exit, which I had thought would just be a pipe end, they built into a lovely little rocky exit that looks more like a garden fountain than a drainage pipe. They also hauled away a significant amount of green waste that I had cut down but which didn't fit well into my bin. They just tossed it all into their truck and said "no problem!" Finally, they used the remains of my mulch pile to cover every bit of dirt/mud around the pipeline (and beyond). I was expecting a drainage solution, and I got a good one. But I also got a mini yard makeover in the bargain! Ryan and Jose clearly love their work, and it shows. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I explained to Paul he had me go some tests on the control box but they never worked.pUl came out and tested it and found out the power cord was cut almost in half. There just enough wires connected for the box to show the station times ,ETC.Only problem I had was not Paul's fault but some landscaping workers cut the power cord. Week later the System is working fine except it water's repeatedly after it run's thru it's program. Still waiting for Paul to come and check it out. It's been weeks since I called to fix this problem after at least 4-6 voice mails and texts! STILL WAITING!
